Finally, I add chili oil to the remaining mapo tofu and rice to make a mini rice bowl. The rest can be enjoyed later by boiling ramen noodles and mixing them in. This way, I can enjoy it for two meals. Despite being a specialty restaurant, the spiciness is mild. Also, it would be nice to have some Sichuan pepper, even if it's just a small packet. I ordered the mapo tofu set with 2 pieces of karaage for 1780 yen, plus a delivery fee of 200 yen, which is quite pricey. The karaage was clearly the same as what I've had from other brands. The mapo tofu didn't have as much flavor as I expected, so I added some of my own sansho pepper towards the end. The portion size was sufficient, but considering the price, it felt a bit tough. The delivery was on time, which is a plus point common to all brands. This was helpful.
