I passed by a shop selling delicious Danish bread, so I went inside. There were various kinds such as marble Danish, sakura-colored with Tsujiri Gion matcha kneaded in, and one kneaded with matcha and red bean paste. I couldn't decide which one to get as they were priced around 1500-2000 yen each. In the end, I bought a pack with four different types, individually wrapped for less than 1000 yen. Even at Itami Airport on my way back, they were selling the same products. When I baked and ate them at home, they were really delicious.

I first learned about this bread when I received it as a wedding gift at a friend's wedding. It was so delicious that I looked it up and found out it was from this bakery. I visited during my stay in Kyoto and the limited edition items here were really good. (Matcha and chocolate)

I have eaten this Marble Danish at other stores a few times before, but it had been a while since I last had it. I didn't know there was a store right near Shijo Kawaramachi Station, so this was my first visit. I was lost for quite some time, but this time I chose the "Fromage Chocolat Special Edition" from the limited-time menu, which has a different outer box. It is a collaboration product with a pianist who is a sponsor. The outer box had a piano pattern. It is priced at 1,944 yen per loaf, the most expensive option. I sliced it to a suitable thickness, toasted it, and ate it. It looked beautiful, and the aroma and taste were excellent! It was a Marble Danish bread that made me feel luxurious.

A new Gran Marble store opened right near Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto! It opened on September 10, 2021. I purchased the ❤️ Shijo Goryuan Limited Marble Danish 1 loaf for ¥1296 (tax included). It's a Shijo Goryuan store exclusive flavor with a base of Gion Tsujiri matcha and plain Danish dough woven with chocolate. Although I didn't taste much matcha, it was delicious. I will definitely buy it again!
