I found out that the store was being renovated through a sign at the storefront, so I decided to visit during lunchtime. The name and appearance of the store seemed to be the same, but the concept has changed to "oden and fish." The lunch menu was visible on the sign in front of the store, and surprisingly, in this day and age, the restaurant allows smoking during lunchtime, which is a rare find for smokers. The news of the renovation doesn't seem to have spread yet, as the restaurant was surprisingly empty. I ordered the "Monkfish Tempura Set Meal (990 yen)" and a free hot coffee with a drink ticket obtained by adding the restaurant on LINE as a friend. Similar to before, the drink ticket allows for 5 drinks for 100 yen within a month from the issue date, a generous offer. The drink options were hot coffee, iced coffee, cola, oolong tea, and orange juice. After a short wait, the "Monkfish Tempura Set Meal" was served. The main dish was monkfish tempura with a special sweet and sour Chinese-style sauce. In addition to the freshly fried monkfish tempura, there were also fried sweet potatoes and green peppers, providing a substantial portion. The restaurant's signature dish, "oden," was also available. I believe it was "Conger Eel, Cucumber, and Seaweed in Vinegar." The meal also included rice, pickles, and miso soup. Although there was also chicken tempura on the menu, the focus was on fish for the lunch menu, in line with the restaurant's concept. With the coffee ticket and other intriguing menu items, I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.
