This is a takoyaki bar in Gion. It's always crowded with foreigners and the shop looks busy all the time. It was surprisingly empty this time so I quickly went in! I love the delicious tako-yaki here because the octopus has a great texture. I also recommend the ebi-yaki which has shrimp in it. It's perfect for a casual drink outing.

On a regular Wednesday at 4:30 PM, there were no customers yet. I had one grilled squid for ¥580 tax included, mentaiko mayo for ¥380 tax included, and a Sapporo draft beer for ¥580 tax included, along with other drinks. They seem to provide freshly grilled dishes. The order arrived in 8 minutes! The female staff or owner was very nice. The atmosphere was great. Thank you for the meal.

A takoyaki restaurant using healthy ingredients like rice flour has opened in Gion. Using rice flour for takoyaki is still rare in Kyoto. They offer a variety of flavors like basic sauce (4 pieces for 360 yen), negi pon, mentaiko mayo, yuzu-flavored bonito dashi, and spicy chili oil. They also have a speedy menu where you can get scallop-filled takoyaki or potato salad takoyaki. The limited edition "Iidako Grilled Whole" (580 yen) is quite impressive with a fluffy and chewy texture, and a healthy takoyaki that melts in your mouth.

I had been curious about this new shop in Gion for a while. The interior is bright and the staff are friendly. It seems like they know everyone passing by and are always chatting with them. I ordered one tako-yaki for 580 yen and a lemon chu-hi for 580 yen. They use rice flour in their tako-yaki here. The tako-yaki arrived and it was packed with tako and ham! It was so delicious, with plenty of tako inside. Even though some places sell tako-yaki for 500 yen with hardly any tako inside, this one was filled to the brim! The texture was amazing, so soft and the tako was really tasty. It might be the best tako-yaki I've had recently. The portion size was great, so it was very satisfying. The tako was so delicious and plentiful, I was really happy. They also offer takeout, so you can enjoy it by the Kamogawa River. I was a bit hesitant to go in because there always seemed to be regular customers, but it was actually a very welcoming and fun place!

I visited a takoyaki shop that opened recently and uses rice flour. I was surprised by how chewy and delicious it was. I tried the takoyaki made with octopus filling, but it was quite hot, so the regular one is easier to eat. They also have beer, so takoyaki and beer make a great combination!

"GIONKIMUTAKO" is a takoyaki bar that opened on September 11th, using body-friendly ingredients such as rice flour. The menu includes unique takoyaki such as whole octopus takoyaki and scallop takoyaki, with a limited 20 servings available. The interior of the restaurant has counter seats. After being open for about a month, the place is decorated with celebratory flowers and exudes cleanliness. Cheers with a draft beer and Sapporo Black Label. We took a photo of the takoyaki being cooked from the takeout window. It looks delicious! The takoyaki has a whole octopus inside, and it's hot and flavorful. The original takoyaki with sauce is also delicious, with a large piece of octopus that is soft and moist. Located near Gion-Shijo Station, it's a convenient place to stop by for a break or to pass the time. The combination of beer and takoyaki is excellent. They also offer takeout, making it a great option for gifts or souvenirs. From Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Electric Railway, head towards Yasaka Shrine on Shijo Street, turn right onto Nawa-te Street, and the next shop is on the corner. This place offers gluten-free octopus balls made with rice flour, which is quite rare! Perfect for those who want to enjoy octopus balls but are concerned about their health. I personally don't really care about gluten-free or anything like that, so I eat regular octopus balls made with wheat flour, but I wanted to see how different octopus balls made with rice flour would taste! After indulging in pizza, I went to this shop to find out how different they are. The octopus ball lineup includes regular (with sauce or spicy sauce), mentaiko mayo, negi ponzu (limited to 20 servings), scallop-filled, and squid-filled. They also serve alcohol, so you can enjoy octopus balls with a drink! I ordered the regular ones, while my friend ordered the squid-filled ones, and we shared them. Rice flour octopus balls? Are you serious? They taste just like regular octopus balls! You can enjoy octopus balls without feeling guilty. The shop opens at 3 p.m. and stays open until 2 a.m., making it perfect for a late-night snack after drinking. Gluten-free and delicious octopus balls! Great as a snack too. Trying them out was definitely the right choice. Thank you for the meal!

I felt a bit hungry, so I went to buy takoyaki near the hotel. It cost around 500 yen for 6 pieces, and the shop was crowded but the takoyaki was delicious. It was convenient that they offered takeout. The staff were also kind and polite. It seemed like a nice place to relax and have a drink.
