On the second floor of a building under construction in Kyoto, there is a small, cozy bar with about 15 seats. It's hidden away, and I might not have noticed it if I hadn't been told about it! It seems to have many regular customers. I was immediately drawn to the pink wine cask of my favorite Ichiro's Malt, so I started with a glass of that. Another recommended drink is a Canadian red wine mojito with plenty of herbs, which everyone around me seemed to be enjoying. The master is very friendly, making it easy for even solo customers to feel comfortable.
