This is a small traditional Kyoto-style restaurant located in a popular area. The atmosphere is calming, with a young female owner managing the place alone. The interior has a counter and a few tables, with subtle lighting. We had a few dishes while enjoying a beer, but unfortunately, the food was just average, leaning towards "homestyle" cooking. The regular customers seemed to have a close relationship with the owner, creating a cozy atmosphere. However, as first-time visitors, we felt slightly out of place. It seems like a place where regulars come to relax and enjoy themselves.

I found a cozy little izakaya in Miyagawa-cho run by a friendly proprietress. Despite its traditional exterior and interior resembling a ryotei, the atmosphere and home-style cooking were welcoming. The prices were reasonable too. It's been in business for 6 years now. I stumbled upon a great little gem of a restaurant.
