I visited the restaurant for lunch on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Due to a long meeting, I arrived late for lunch and decided to visit this restaurant where I could quickly eat. However, it was full! Luckily, a table opened up right in front of me, so I sat there and placed my order using a tablet. I ordered a beef bowl with extra sauce and lots of onions. It only took a few minutes for the food to arrive! The speed and affordability are great. I added a lot of pickled ginger and shichimi pepper on the table and finished my meal! Cheap and fast is good. I think Japanese fast food is amazing.

It's been a long time since I last visited Sukiya. I was craving curry, so I chose to come here. Since it was dinner time, I ordered the beef curry with a side of beef on top. The curry had a sweet Western-style taste, while the beef had the traditional flavor of a beef bowl, which didn't really match well. It was my fault for choosing this combination, but the lack of motivation from the part-time staff made the experience even worse.

It's in Kyoto. Along Kawaramachi Street. A bit up from Sanjo, on the west side, there was this shop. I was out drinking late around Oike, and felt like having some soba, but nowhere was open. Still hungry, I headed to Matsuya across the street, but it was under renovation and couldn't go in, so I crossed the signal and went here. It was quite late, past midnight, so maybe because of the late visit, there was only one other customer besides me. The staff seemed to be just one person as well. Maybe. I couldn't tell if there was another person in the kitchen. I sat at the counter, waited for my gyudon and miso soup for a while, and it was brought to me quite roughly. Maybe the staff was in a bad mood? Topped with light pink ginger, I put a lot of shichimi on the miso soup, ate quickly, and left quickly. I still feel that Sukiya's gyudon is a bit too sweet for me. The miso soup seems tastier than other chains, but it's a bit more expensive and that's why I find it a bit difficult. So, my visits to Sukiya have become less frequent.

I stopped by a beef bowl restaurant on my way home after drinking in December 2019. I was very hungry, so the deliciousness was doubled. Living in the city where there are many people and restaurants makes me happy. I ordered my favorite Takana Mentaiko Mayo Gyudon. I was very satisfied with the deliciousness and portion for the price. I hope they come up with various new menu items. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again. I will enjoy all the ingredients in this world with gratitude. Calling for delicious food♪ The more I eat, the more power overflows♪

The other day, I went to Kyoto for work. On my way back from work, I wanted to go shopping in Kyogoku, but I saw that "Sukiya" was in the middle of hanging this noren. And the door poster has also been changed. I was surprised to find that "Nomisuki," which I thought was only testing in the Kanto region, was also in Kyoto, so I ended up going in. While sitting at the counter and looking at the menu, I found that there was a "Nomisuki set." The menu showed that besides beer, you could also change to "Highball" or "Honjou" etc. I decided to order "B." There are many dishes that you can eat lightly and drink, and of course, you can also choose from the regular menu. After a while, the beer arrived. It was a small bottle of beer, with a capacity of 334ml, which is less than canned beer. Perhaps they are trying to reduce costs a little? The beer served at Matsuya is 180ml for 150 yen, so it might be less. Soon the food arrived. I was disappointed to see the "edamame," it seemed like it had been heated in the microwave as it was white and lacked moisture. Clearly, it was overheated, and the quantity was also small... When I tried the chorizo, it was spicy and delicious. I poured the beer into the glass and tried it. It was perfect with the beer. However, I didn't find the menu very appealing. I think they need to make a little more effort. Since I lost interest, I only ordered the "Nomisuki set" and left the restaurant.

When I went to Kyoto, I found a store with a noren curtain that said "Nomisuki" (meaning "like to drink"). Once I saw that, I couldn't resist and ended up going in. In Nagoya, I never see "Nomisuki" signs. I ordered a chorizo set for 680 yen, which came with a small bottle of beer. For snacks, I also ordered edamame, beef tendon stew, and beef tongue. It was a casual and affordable option for a little drinking session.

On July 15, 2014, at 10:11 PM, at Kyoto City Hall, 174m away, I went to "Sukiya" at Kawaramachi Sanjo because I was feeling hungry. As seen on the news, there seemed to be a shortage of staff, so all the table seats were unavailable and they were only operating with the counter seats. There was only one staff member. Besides us, there was only one other customer, but it was very chaotic and seemed tough for the staff. I ordered the una-gyudon (eel and beef bowl). Honestly, not everything goes well with beef bowl, as I regretted ordering the una-gyudon. The eel sauce did not go well with the beef, and I ended up regretting my choice while eating. Rating: 2.9

A few days ago, I visited the Karasuma Shichijo store for the first time and was amazed by the deliciousness of the beef sukiyaki set meal. I was determined to come back and try the beef bowl this time. I finished work early and arrived a little late around 1:30 pm. As soon as I entered the store, a pleasant aroma filled the air. I decided to order the beef bowl, but there were various types to choose from on the menu, so I was a bit indecisive. After a few minutes of enjoyable deliberation, I finally ordered the regular size negi-tama beef bowl. The combination of green onions and beef was excellent, and I quickly devoured it. Thank you for the delicious meal.
