I walked around Nishiki Market. If something caught my eye, I would take a look. It was crowded and hard to make progress. In the midst of it all, this caught my attention. It was one of the snacks I had been checking out. It looked cute and I wanted to buy it. I tried the apple and matcha flavors. The apple didn't have much flavor. The matcha wasn't very strong either. There was also a café au lait flavor, but this time I went with plain. It had a crispy texture. The size was just right, so I kept reaching for more. It has a long shelf life, so it would make a nice souvenir. There were variations in cans, larger quantities, and a pack of three different flavors like the one I bought.

During a food tour in Kyoto in September, I explored Nishiki Market. After enjoying tea shaved ice at "Chawan," I became curious about the bean sweets at "Tsukimachian" displayed outside the shop. They had hand-baked bean senbei in flavors like peanut, brown rice, black bean, green pea, and pumpkin, priced at 430 yen per bag. There was also a special offer of 4 bags for 1080 yen. I decided to try the pumpkin flavor and bought one bag. The pumpkin bean senbei had a subtly sweet taste, a nice texture from the pumpkin seeds, and a deliciously nutty flavor. It was quite tasty.
