We first met up with a friend at the Shimizu Gojo Station and headed to this place. It's a Western confectionery shop run by Mr. Harisei, whom we visited for lunch before. The shop is located right next to Harisei's shop. It's a small shop with a cute exterior. Upon entering, you'll see a showcase with cakes right in front. On the left side of the entrance, there were baked sweets lined up. The cakes in the showcase had a nostalgic shape. The price cards were handwritten, giving a sense of a bygone era. Since the cakes needed to be refrigerated and were difficult to carry around, we decided to have some baked sweets instead. The appearance and wrapping of the baked sweets had a simple feel. Looking at the ingredients on the back label, it was reassuring to see that no unnecessary additives were used. We enjoyed the baked sweets with tea at the hotel. Overall, the gentle flavors of the sweets were suitable for children and elderly people alike. This shop is takeout only, with no seating space, but guess what! From May onwards, they started a service where you can enjoy drinks along with your sweets in the wonderful dining area of Harisei's shop from 2 pm until just before the evening business starts. It's a fantastic idea to be able to enjoy in such a splendid setting. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to try the tea time service yet, but I definitely want to visit in the future. Thank you for the delicious treats!

Next to the traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant Harioshi, a patisserie opened by the name of Harisei. I visited the cozy little shop after it had settled down a bit since its opening. Although there weren't many options, I chose the Fraisier (518 yen), Choux Cream (248 yen), Eclair (248 yen x 2), and Mille-feuille (540 yen). The cakes seemed to focus on the basics rather than the latest trends, with layers of flavors that felt like they had been carefully crafted. They had a nostalgic taste that would be loved by people of all ages.
