Visited in November 2022 ◎ No Tabelog score at the time of posting (0 reviews) Located just north of Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, "Smoothie & Ice Cream Rere Gion Store" is on the second floor, right above the FamilyMart on the first floor. The American-style atmosphere inside is nice, with three counter seats and a great view of the autumn leaves. I thought they only had smoothies, ice cream, and shaved ice, but they also offer hamburgers, making it suitable for both cafe and lunch use. The shaved ice uses "Angel Ice," which has a fluffy texture and is quite luxurious. I came for dessert after lunch, but couldn't resist ordering a hamburger as well. They also offer whole cakes and pudding for pre-order, which look delicious. I ordered as follows and enjoyed my meal at a table seat. The smoothie combinations and toppings shown in photos on the wall are quite helpful, so it's recommended to check them out before ordering. Cola and oolong tea are served in bottles, adding to the atmosphere. The Croissant Ice Cream was unique with a Sweet Potato Sesame flavor, and I added strawberry topping. The smoothies I ordered were a great mix of fruity sweetness and rich cheesecake flavor. The Croissant Ice Cream and free toppings can be customized to your liking, which is great. I saw on Instagram that they will be celebrating their 1st anniversary on November 24th, with a half-price event on November 23 (Wed) and 24 (Thu) from 11 am to 7 pm, and on November 25 (Fri) from 11 am to 5 pm.
