■A shop that opened in September 2021 where you can enjoy a unique soft serve ice cream made with croissant cones. I visited this place after lunch while exploring Kyoto bakeries. Located on a side street off of Fuyacho Street, south of Shijo Street, on the second floor of a building with a beauty salon on the first floor. The interior is also used as a gallery, so you can enjoy your meal while admiring the artwork.■Croissant Soft Serve Ice Cream Vanilla & Raspberry 1,000 yen (tax included) The visual impact is outstanding, and I immediately decided to try this one. The buttery croissant dough infused with ice cream creates a delightful texture that I have never experienced before. They will be featured on Kansai TV's "Yoi Don" on January 26th (Wednesday), so be sure to tune in.■Check out my blog "Yosshi @ Kansai Gourmet Food Walk" as well!

Croissant with soft serve ice cream on top! I visited this place to try the dessert with soft serve ice cream on a croissant. I followed the soft serve ice cream sign and climbed up a plain staircase, feeling a bit uneasy, but found the entrance at the top. Since it was after 8 pm, there were limited options available, so I ordered the basic Vanilla for 700 yen with a Bear topping for 120 yen and a Special Cone for 180 yen. The bear topping comes in white, pink, or brown - I chose pink. They drizzle chocolate on the croissant base, sprinkle colorful chocolate mix generously, and hand you the finished product. When I received it, the croissant was surprisingly fluffy and soft - it squished easily when I held it. I couldn't wait to try it! First, I bit into the cute bear - it tasted like strawberry with plenty of vanilla beans. But most importantly, the croissant at the bottom was delicious! They bake the croissants here, and the buttery flavor is amazing. I wish they sold croissants separately! The soft serve ice cream usually becomes a struggle towards the end, but here, the croissant makes it even more delicious towards the end! Next time, I want to try a different ice cream flavor! It melts quickly, so you need to take photos fast. I noticed on the way out that they provide picks for Instagram-worthy photos and a place to wash your hands, showing that the shop cares about the customer's enjoyment. They often run out of flavors like pistachio or creamy yogurt after 8 pm, so I want to come back earlier next time for a rematch!

On the way back from dinner, I saw people coming down from the building and decided to visit. It seems to be a soft serve ice cream shop (with a wine bar) where croissants are used as cones. They also have some light snacks. Despite initially thinking it might be a gimmick, the ice cream is actually delicious. The wine bar that I've been curious about seems to be run by the same owner.

First Visit 2022012 (No.4142) 1. Purpose of Visit - This is my first time in Kyoto in three years since October 2019 (Reiwa 1), so I plan to gather a wide range of information from long-established stores dating back to the Muromachi period to new stores that seem trendy in the 2020s. 2. Shop Information - Genre on Tabelog: Soft Serve Ice Cream - Opened in September 2021 - The shop features "Croissant Soft Serve Ice Cream," where a croissant baked in the shape of a cone serves as the cone itself. - A new concept from the bistro "ekaki" in Teramachi Shijo - Business Hours: 13:00-21:30 - Closed irregularly - Seating capacity: 15 seats 3. Crowdedness and Atmosphere on the Day - Visited around 13:05 on a weekday with no other customers at that time - The interior has a modern atmosphere, including a wine cellar that also serves as a stockroom for the bistro's wines. 4. Customer Service - The staff provided the necessary black cutting board and knife for taking a photo of the cross-section of "Gobisai (Trial Mochi)" from "Kawabata Michiki," which I obtained on that day. I would like to express my gratitude here. 5. Ordered Items - Pistachio & Strawberry + Special Cone + Bear for 1,300 yen - I left it to the store manager to create a visually appealing soft serve ice cream <(_ _)> - The croissant serving as a cone was delicious with a crispy texture, and the soft serve ice cream was rich and tasty. The pistachio flavor uses "BABBI" pistachios generously, which is undoubtedly delicious (laughs). - * "BABBI" is a long-established Dolce brand founded in 1952 in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy, known for their gelato and cones. Thank you for the delicious meal. [Pre. 03]

Croissant with soft serve ice cream?! *Kyoto*. Chi chi@chichi.kyoto. Croissant x Soft Serve Ice Cream! Specialized store ✨. The idea of putting soft serve ice cream in a croissant is too wonderful ✨. They just celebrated their 1st anniversary in September ✨. We tried: Azuki Vanilla with strawberry chocolate bear topping croissant with chocolate coating. Homemade sweet red bean paste filled inside with soft serve ice cream topped with matcha powder colorful wafers. Chestnut chocolate topping with chocolate bear croissant with chocolate & almond coating. On top, there are candied chestnuts, cocoa powder, chestnut soft serve ice cream with chocolate puffs inside. The croissant is crispy and falls apart easily, but it's okay if it drops on the floor. The soft serve ice cream and croissant were both delicious. The strawberry chocolate bear was on the sweeter side. Kyoto University of Art and Design student group exhibition is also being held until 10/11. Thank you for the meal ✨. #chichi #KyotoKawaramachiGourmet #KawaramachiGourmet #KawaramachiCafe #KawaramachiSweets #SoftServeIceCream #CroissantSoftServeIceCream

I hurriedly took a picture because I wanted to visit this soft serve ice cream shop. The croissant at the bottom is handmade specifically for the soft serve ice cream. It's a bit uneven, which adds a nice touch. You can customize your order, like choosing mango yogurt topping. The staff was kind and it's a nice shop. The mango was delicious!

The azuki bean vanilla corn croissant is incredibly crispy, with a generous amount of subtly sweet red bean paste inside. The top part features a rich vanilla soft serve with a great texture. The croissant is not oily, the vanilla soft serve emphasizes the vanilla scent rather than sweetness, and the red bean paste allows you to taste the beans. The balance of flavors is superb. The bottled beer is only 600 yen, which is surprisingly cheap for the city. I walked a lot and was thirsty, so I had a bottle. Although I didn't order any, there are also several snack options available. Looking at other people's Instagram posts, it seems like a good deal. Thank you for the meal.

The new concept at the wine bar "ekaki" in Kawaramachi, Kyoto, offers soft serve ice cream made with croissants instead of cones, paired with natural wines. The eat-in area, with a white-based theme, features a stylish space with a gallery attached. The wine stock shared with "ekaki" at the back of the shop contains around 1000 bottles of natural wine. You can even go inside and choose your own. Order: Vanilla & Raspberry Soft Serve (1000 yen) - A homemade croissant shaped like a cone with soft serve ice cream topped with a mix of vanilla and raspberry. Various wine pairings are also available.

It's a bit hard to find, but with the help of navigation, I managed to locate it. I got a bit lost, but then I looked up and saw a soft serve ice cream sign! I went up the stairs and opened the door to find the counter. The menu was in English, but I decided to go with pistachio flavor. It was my first time trying soft serve ice cream on a croissant. It was so delicious that I wanted to say "What is this?!" but I held back. Pistachio flavor is always tasty! The staff, especially the lady, was very friendly.
