Last night's dessert was a takeout from "Kakuozan Fruit Daifuku Bensaiten Shijo Karasuma Store" near my workplace after work. I also bought some treats to give to my bodybuilder friend. This time, I got my favorite "ripe pineapple" and "sly strawberry" for takeout. By the way, the sly strawberry is a Kyoto strawberry, exclusive to the Shijo Karasuma store. I brought mango and Dekopon for my bodybuilder friend. When I got home, I cut the fruit daifuku in half with a mochi cutting thread to take a beautiful cross-section photo, then devoured it in one go. It was super sweet and super delicious. My bodybuilder friend was also pleased. #Fruit #FruitDaifuku #Daifuku #fruits #slystrawberry #strawberry #ripepineapple #pineapple #KakuozanFruitDaifukuBensaiten #Kyoto #KyotoSweets #ShijoKarasuma #ShijoKarasumaSweets #Sweets #KyotoTakeout #ShijoKarasumaTakeout #crosssectionmoe #mochicuttingthread #KumaKenisAnInexperiencedPerson #LikesSlyGirls #KindSenior

Kuma Log 3.7❄️ Today's dessert was a takeout from "Kakuozan Fruit Daifuku Bensaiten Shijo Karasuma Store" near my office after work. My favorite fully ripe pineapple was sold out, so I got takeout with amaou strawberries, Shine Muscat grapes, and hassaku oranges. When I got home, I cut the Fruit Daifuku in half with a mochi cutting thread and took a photo of the beautiful cross-section. As a bear, I was satisfied with the photo shoot and then devoured it in one go. So delicious!❄️ #Fruit #FruitDaifuku #Daifuku #fruits #amaou #strawberry #hassaku #ShineMuscat #KakuozanFruitDaifukuBensaiten #Kyoto #KyotoSweets #ShijoKarasuma #ShijoKarasumaSweets #Sweets #KyotoTakeout #ShijoKarasumaTakeout #CrossSectionMoe #mochicuttingthreadmadeitclean #mochicuttingthread #evenifthemochiiscutthefeelingisnotcutlol #notapiocatoday

Here, we have the Fruit Daifuku from Kakuo Mountain, Benten-san! The fruits are beautifully arranged with a light white bean paste, wrapped in white mochi to create a daifuku. The store has a high-class Japanese cuisine or tempura shop vibe... Once you enter, you find yourself in a Fruit Daifuku shop!

After having dim sum for lunch, I went to Eirakuya Muro-machi store across the street to purchase ingredients for bamboo shoot rice. The store has a spacious and charming interior, and the rice turned out delicious. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and lost the image, so I can't provide a review. Later, I came across this shop while walking. The large and impressive curtain caught my eye. As the name suggests "Kakuozan", it is a shop from Nagoya. The exterior exudes a sense of luxury, and the interior atmosphere is sophisticated. On the wooden counter, there were samples of daifuku being sold that day. I tried the strawberry and ripe pineapple flavors, but I lost the image, so I can only provide photos of the exterior and interior sent by a friend. The fruit daifuku needs to be refrigerated, so I returned to my hotel room to store it. I enjoyed it later that night. When I opened the package, there was a string inside. This string is used to cut the daifuku in half to show the cross-section neatly. The balance of acidity, sweetness, and aroma of the strawberry and pineapple was excellent. The fruit is carefully selected. The outer layer is white bean paste, and the mochi is slightly thick. I felt the sweetness of the white bean paste was a bit too strong for my liking, but it might be because I'm not a big fan of white bean paste. Daifuku and sandwiches made with fruit... I feel like prices have gone up compared to before, even considering inflation. Thank you for the meal!

Arima's specialty store, Moe Dan, offers exquisite fruit daifuku that is a must-buy souvenir. I happened to come across it in Kyoto and was instantly drawn in. I heard it's the first store in Kyoto, and all their stores have a cool and luxurious exterior and interior. I originally intended to buy it as a souvenir, but ended up getting some for myself as well. They use seasonal fruits directly sourced from the market, wrapped in a subtle sweetness white bean paste and elegant double-layered mochi made with high-quality flour. The combination of the white bean paste and mochi perfectly enhances the natural flavor of the fruits, making it a satisfying treat. They also offer wooden gift boxes, making it a perfect upscale souvenir. It's a highly recommended store for fruit and daifuku lovers. Thank you for the delicious treat!

I wanted to try the Fruit Daifuku from Bensaiten, so I went to the newly opened Kakuosan Fruit Daifuku Bensaiten Shijo Karasuma store. The fresh Fruit Daifuku includes Yumenoka, Yumenoka (twin strawberries), persimmon, ripe pineapple, apple, musk melon, and Wenzhou mandarin. Each Daifuku is wrapped in white bean paste and chewy mochi, with seasonal fruits directly sourced from the market. The Yumenoka (twin strawberries) has two strawberries in one Daifuku, making it extra delicious. The juicy fruits, white bean paste, and mochi create a wonderful harmony. It also comes with a mochi cutting thread, making it easy to cut at home. The staff is kind and even offered a warm pack on a cold day. It's a delightful experience.

Fruits Daifuku Bento Saiten from Nagoya has opened a new store in Shijo Karasuma, so I got some for takeout! Their fruit daifuku is filled with whole fruits directly sourced from the market, making it fresh and juicy. The fruits are wrapped in a gentle white bean paste and a soft, melting mochi, creating a delicious treat. The attention to detail in their work is evident once you taste it. This time, I got mango, ripe pineapple, Wenzhou mandarin orange, kiwi, muskmelon, and Yumenoka strawberries for takeout. There's a mochi cutting thread included so you can try cutting it yourself at home (I'm not very good at it!). The mochi is so soft that it melts in your mouth! Even if you're not good at cutting it, the delicious taste remains the same! I gave some to a mother who came to visit and she was so impressed with it, so I recommend sharing it with your parents or loved ones. They sold out on the first day, and they have irregular holidays, so it's best to go early.

■I visited a fruit daifuku shop in Kyoto, which is said to be the driving force behind the "Moe Fruit Daifuku Boom" and is known for its beautiful cross-section and delicious treats. From Karasuma Station, head towards Oike Street, turn left at the corner where "DEAN&DELUCA" is located, and you will find the shop on your right after a short walk. Nearby is the main store of Maeda Coffee.
■Yumenoka 480-680 yen (tax included)
■Mask Melon 780 yen (tax included)
■Wenzhou Mandarin 580-680 yen (tax included)
■Persimmon 480 yen (tax included)
■Ripe Pineapple 480 yen (tax included)
■Apple
Every day, carefully selected fresh fruits are chosen from the market, all of which are juicy and fresh. In particular, the pineapple and mask melon were excellent. The combination of the chewy mochi made with high-quality feather-light flour, and the perfectly sweet white bean paste, was delicious. They also offer gift boxes for assortments, so it would make a great gift!

The interior of the store had a simple atmosphere. There were about 7 or 8 different types of fruit daifuku displayed. The most popular one seemed to be the strawberry daifuku.
