Menya Musashi Ganki ■ Store Information 11:00-22:00 Closed: None 3 minutes walk from Akihabara Station Electric Town Exit Counter seating for 15 Order menu: Ganki rich tsukemen [3.5 times] It's been half a year since I last had Ganki, and I'm always grateful that the price is kept the same up to 3.5 times. The noodles slide smoothly into the thick dipping sauce, which runs out along with the noodles. But don't worry, you can get a refill of the dipping sauce. When it comes to Ganki, I always recommend trying the Chashu Bacon. The thick, long bacon is not tough to chew and only gets more delicious the more you chew. I highly recommend ordering the special "Ganki XXX" today! Another delicious meal at Menya Musashi Ganki!

Sometimes I feel like having a rice dish, so I added fried rice too! I could tell from the picture that the bacon was in small pieces, but I actually preferred the white leek fried rice. It would be nice if they also sold regular white rice. I should have just stuck with the rich tsukemen as usual.

The noodles have a chewy texture that pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce. The sauce is rich and flavorful, with a strong taste. Especially recommended is the savory flavor of the meat that melts into the sauce. The meat is tender and juicy, enhancing the overall deliciousness when eaten together.

This is my first time at this restaurant. I was feeling the heat, so I decided to order the GanKo cold tsukemen in large serving. The noodles were a bit too firm for my liking, not cooked to my preferred texture (I usually like the firmness of Sanuki udon). The soup was delicious though. My companion ordered the three times serving of the rich tsukemen. They mentioned that it tasted better the last time we were here. I wonder if something has changed...

It was so delicious!! My friend recommended this place to me. When we arrived, there were about 4-5 groups waiting in line, but the cool BGM made the wait go by quickly. I tried the garlic dipping noodles. They were delicious with thick, tender bacon on top!!!

I ordered the Ra-men (extra large) at this restaurant. The attractive thing about this place is that the prices are the same for regular (200g) to extra large () portions. I sat at the counter and could see a 400W dial right in front of me, slowly grilling long, thin slices of char siu. The aroma was delightful as I waited. The bowl was indeed large and made an impact, but personally, it felt more like a regular large portion, so the regular or medium sizes might be a bit small. The dish included crunchy bean sprouts, green onions, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. The straight thick noodles were served in slightly thick soup, but you could add more soup to make it lighter. The char siu was in a regular shape, but I would have preferred the long, thin, fragrant char siu. Maybe that one is for tsukemen? I would like to come back and try a different menu next time.

Sunday 8:00 PM. It seems like there are more inbound tourists. Akihabara is super crowded. And there are a lot of foreigners! The restaurant is packed. It's been a while since I've been to Musashi. It was really delicious. I got the large portion for free, but it was surprisingly small. I guess I've gotten used to other places serving larger portions. The seasoned soup was delicious!

Menya Musashi GanTora - Ramen ¥1240 This special bowl features a meticulously prepared ingredient called Chashu Bacon, which is pork belly marinated for several days and smoked to perfection. It's not just Chashu or Bacon, it's a unique blend of both. The rich soup and thick noodles are mixed with bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, egg, and plenty of Chashu Bacon toppings. Plus, there's also pickled ginger for added flavor. Located an 8-minute walk from Akihabara Station at 1-3-9 Soto-Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

I visited the ramen and tsukemen restaurant "Menya Musashi Ganki" around 11 AM on a certain day in March 2023. Located about a 3-minute walk from Akihabara Station, the not-so-spacious interior was about 80% full of customers. I chose the "Nanami Tsukemen" for ¥950 at the ticket machine. I opted for the medium noodle portion. I sat alone at the counter seat and presented my ticket. After waiting for about 7-8 minutes, the dish was served. The thick dipping sauce with plenty of Nanami Togarashi (seven-spice chili powder) sprinkled on top of the noodles caught my eye. I tried dipping the slightly thick noodles coated with Nanami into the sauce. The interesting combination of sweet sauce and spicy noodles stood out. The Menya Musashi-like taste with a slight umami from animal broth and the intense spiciness of Nanami Togarashi made it enjoyable. I savored the chewy texture of the noodles and the perfect thickness of the dipping sauce. It was a bit disappointing that there were no condiments like vinegar available. It may be because it's troublesome, but the satisfaction level would have been significantly higher with condiments on the table. The spicy tsukemen with plenty of leeks in both the dipping sauce and noodles provided a refreshing aftertaste. With just the right amount of volume, I finished it in no time. Lastly, I enjoyed the dipping sauce to the last drop, feeling a hint of spiciness and sweetness through soup-wari (diluting the sauce with soup). "Menya Musashi Ganki" offers a satisfying experience in terms of taste, price, and portion. The only downsides were the lack of table condiments and the cramped seating space, which made it feel a bit uncomfortable. If the cozy atmosphere is improved, it would be a place I would want to visit frequently.

Personally, I prefer tsukemen over ramen. The dipping sauce is filled with chunks of tender, delicious meat. It has a combination of pork bone and seafood broth, with a hint of bonito flakes flavor that spreads in your mouth. The slightly sweet seasoning pairs well with the thick noodles.

I had the Rock Tiger Ramen with garlic at this restaurant. I chose it with a little less garlic, but the garlic flavor was still strong. The noodles were thick and chewy, and I was able to enjoy them with the rich soup. The toppings included bacon, chashu, flavored egg, bean sprouts, and it was very satisfying. I will try the tsukemen next time.

Mugitoro, a boneless two-character kanji ramen shop, has a store in Akihabara. It had been about 10 years since my last visit, and I remember there being a long line back then. This time, I arrived at 8 pm and was able to get in without waiting. The restaurant was still almost full. It had been a while, so I ordered the basic tsukemen with a medium portion. By the way, the price remains the same for up to about three times the regular portion. I believe the medium portion is 220g and the large portion is 270g, slightly less than other tsukemen shops. It took about 10 minutes for the noodles to arrive. The noodles were thick and firm, just the way I like them. The dipping sauce was bold and spicy, with mainly green onions as toppings and hardly any chashu... You can also change to a rich type for an additional 50 yen. I enjoy the bold and spicy flavor, so I finished it all quickly. Although it wasn't the kind of tsukemen that made me regret not getting the large portion, it was still delicious and satisfying. This shop definitely delivers satisfaction by offering a generous amount of noodles. It was a good meal after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

It was cold, so instead of the popular tsukemen, I had the miso ra-men for 960 yen!!! I like my noodles thick, so I slurped them up in no time! It was delicious! If I wasn't at work, I would have added extra garlic! Menya Musashi has unique menu items at each store, so it's worth checking out their special flavors too! Visit the link for more details: https://menya634.co.jp/onlyone/ Introducing Menya Musashi GanKo, where they marinate pork belly in a special chashu sauce for several days, then smoke it to perfection. It's not chashu or bacon, it's chashu bacon. They grill it on a hot plate before serving. Enjoy their pride and joy, the chashu bacon! 【Visit on February 4, 2023】 On this Saturday, my day off, after finishing my errands, I found myself feeling incredibly hungry. To satisfy my hunger without spending too much, I decided to head to this restaurant. I arrived at 7:30 pm and saw that there were four customers ahead of me waiting in line. I bought my meal ticket and stood next to them. Since I was dining alone, the other customers kindly allowed me to take the one available seat. I ordered the "Rich Tsukemen" with "3.5 times the regular portion" as usual! The size of this portion is said to weigh 1kg after boiling. Additionally, they offered a system where you could get a free refill of the dipping sauce, which was perfect for a hungry night like this! And it cost just under 1000 yen! It arrived in about 3 minutes... Wait, was it pre-made? The texture of the noodles didn't feel as good as before, and I didn't get that same excitement as I used to. Was it just an off day, a minor change, or had my taste buds changed? The bottom of the bowl had a large pool of water, making me hope it was just an unlucky off day. The dipping sauce seemed to be less in quantity this time. I ended up using up all the dipping sauce with the first serving of noodles, leaving some chashu and menma behind. I decided to get a refill and also added some "Tabasco powder" for a spicier kick on the second serving. This time, I enjoyed the noodles with a soup mix to savor the flavors. After finishing the noodles, I had the soup mix to end the meal. The dipping sauce remained unchanged, which was comforting. I used to love the noodles here, even though I'm not a big fan of "Mendokoro Tsukemen." There was a time when the quality dropped temporarily, and I hope this was just one of those days. It's not great, but I hope it's not a minor change or my taste buds changing. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Menya Musashi Genkotora for the first time before 9 pm on New Year's Day, from Kudanshita to Jinbocho. The restaurant was almost full, but the interior was clean and the service was friendly! I ordered the Tsukemen Dai-Beef Rice and was satisfied.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. It was around 12 o'clock, but I was able to be seated right away. I ordered the rich dipping noodles, large size 270g for 950 yen. I hesitated when choosing the amount of noodles. I ended up choosing the large size of 270g after hesitating because there were people waiting behind me. The young people around me were ordering 3.5 times the normal amount. The noodles were served in two plates. I couldn't eat that much... My large size order arrived. The dipping sauce was rich and had small slices of char siu pork in it. The noodles alone had a wheat flavor. It was delicious when dipped in the sauce. I finished it in no time. I wonder if I could have eaten even more than the large size. But maybe being 80% full was better.

It's been about 5 years since my last visit. The noodles are delicious, but Akihabara area is a fierce battleground, so I haven't been here in a while. The noodles are still tasty, but I felt the portion size was a bit small. I chose the double portion, which was supposed to be over 500g after cooking, but it seemed much less than that. This seems to be a common issue at many shops, it's hard to gauge portion sizes when they are measured in grams. (lol)

Menya Musashi Gankotora - Store Information - 11:00-22:00 Closed: None 3 minutes walk from Akihabara Station, Showa-dori Exit Counter seating for 15 people Gankotora Ramen (extra large portion) It was a perfect day for ramen at Gankotora. The ramen today had a rich soup with a slight viscosity, highlighting the flavors of animal bones and dried sardines, paired with thick noodles. I love both the ramen and tsukemen at Gankotora! When you think of Gankotora, you can't miss the chashu bacon. Today's chashu was particularly tender and flavorful! If I had to nitpick, I would say that I wanted more noodles because I ordered the extra large portion.

I went to GanKo for the first time! The seafood soup and thick noodles were delicious as always. The long, thin chashu is called chashu bacon, with a crispy texture that's addictive. @gourmet_karlos. Menya Musashi Gan-Ko ■ Store Information 11:00-22:00 Closed: None 3 minutes walk from Akihabara Station Showa-dori Exit Counter seating for 15 people Rich Gan-Ko dipping noodles (dipping sauce 3.5 times) Boiled before 630g You can choose the amount of noodles up to 630g without changing the price. I'm coming here after work today, so I went for the hearty Gan-Ko, which is delicious. The double soup of rich pork bone and seafood is amazing. Hyper Nonstop slurping! The noodles in the soup disappeared in no time! The pepper adds a nice touch and gradually kicks in. When it comes to Gan-Ko, you can't miss the chashu bacon, which is also delicious! I had a refill of the soup and enjoyed slurping it all down. I wonder if they have about 1kg of noodles after boiling them. I could go for a bit more!
