A fluffy and creamy omurice at a Western-style restaurant. I decided to have lunch in Akihabara today. Let's go to the UDX building. This place has its roots in Ueno Juraku and will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. I arrived at 11:42 with a colleague, and there was one customer already there, with 8 more coming in after us. The menu was on the table, but we had to order using our smartphones. We were interested in trying the omurice, which came in ketchup, demi-glace, and curry options. We chose the curry omurice. Although the 100th-anniversary menu caught our eye, we decided to try it another time. Our order arrived in about 8 minutes. The fluffy egg contained ketchup rice, and the curry sauce had a strong aroma but was not too spicy. It was a satisfying portion, and we left feeling full. We paid with PayPay. It was a delicious meal. - Used on August 31, 2023 for lunch. Rated 3.41

It was very delicious! It's more about eating than drinking. On the contrary, the night was calm and relaxing, which was nice. I had the DX plate, which was very filling and went perfectly with beer. I plan to go again.

You can enjoy casual Western food here. Located in the heart of the bustling district, it's great that they are open all day. Caesar salad for 858 yen, Hamburg & Demi-glace Omelette Rice for 1518 yen, Shrimp Fry for 1309 yen, Blue Cheese Honey Pizza for 1518 yen. The Caesar salad was delicious with plenty of ingredients and a good portion size. The honey pizza with blue cheese was a perfect combination. The pizza dough was a bit lacking, but still very tasty. Other dishes seemed to be pre-made? The atmosphere is open with wide windows, but the tables could be a bit more spacious. The mobile ordering system worked well, but the small tables made it a bit crowded with all the dishes. The food quality varied, with the shrimp fry and hamburg being disappointing for me. Overall, the location and operating hours are average. By the way, this was a meal for two. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at the restaurant around 12pm and it was almost full, but I managed to get a seat. I was torn between the Giri Safe Omurice and the Hamburg at Susuda-cho Hamburg, but I decided to go with the Hamburg since it seemed to be their specialty. I chose the Hamburg with a Demi-Glace sauce, which arrived in about 10 minutes. The dish came with rice, soup, and sides of broccoli, corn, and potatoes (thankfully no carrots, which I dislike). The 120g Hamburg was not super juicy, but still tender, and the Demi-Glace sauce was rich and delicious. I heard that the juiciness of the Hamburg can depend on how it's cooked, and some places even inject water or fat to enhance the visual appeal. Looking around, I noticed that many people were ordering the Omurice, so I might try that next time. I'm also curious about the adult kids' lunch menu. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

A Western-style restaurant located in Akihabara UDX. Operated by Juraku. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with stable service. It tends to be quite crowded in the evenings. One of their specialties is the "Adult Child Lunch" priced at 1980 yen. I ordered the vegetable soup for 110 yen, which was satisfying. The lunch set includes omurice, hamburger, shrimp fry, potato salad, salad, and spaghetti. The omurice had firm egg wrapping with chicken pilaf inside, which had a mild flavor. The hamburger had a chunky texture with a regular demi-glace taste. The shrimp fry was thin but came with a good tartar sauce. The spaghetti was more like tomato pasta than Napolitan. The salad was quite good, with tasty dressing. Overall, the quality was okay, not particularly delicious considering the price is close to 2000 yen. Juraku's curry, which used to be delicious, might be a better choice.

I wasn't in the mood to eat lunch, but I decided to go for it anyway. I couldn't decide what to eat, but then I saw the sign for omurice. I hadn't had it in a while, so I went to Suda-cho Shokudo. They had four different sauces for the omurice: demiglace, tomato, curry, and hayashi. I had hayashi rice last time, so I chose demiglace this time. The omurice looked beautiful, but the taste was too refined and not satisfying enough. I prefer a richer, stronger flavor. However, it was still delicious.

I went to Suda-cho Shokudo in UDX in Akihabara to check out their interesting menu during lunch! Their most popular dish is the "Adult's Kid's Lunch". It looks like a regular kid's lunch but the portion is more than double! It looks great (laughs). All the other dishes are also carefully prepared without cutting corners! The restaurant was bustling with couples on dates and families! The prices are a bit high, but you can enjoy delicious food. Thank you for the meal!

On Saturday around 12:30, two people visited the restaurant. It was their first date, so they made a reservation, but there was only a short wait. They had trouble finding the elevator in the complex UDX building. The seat had an open view of Akihabara's streets, making it suitable for a casual lunch date. The price of the omurice was around 1000 yen. It was fluffy and delicious. Overall, it was a typical price for a restaurant in the city.

Founded in the 13th year of the Taisho era in Kanda Sudacho, Tokyo, Sudacho Shokudo has been revived at Akihabara UDX "Akiba Ichi"! In a stylish space that combines modern and retro elements, you can enjoy the taste of this long-established restaurant. One of the popular dishes is the "Children's Lunch Western Plate" that even adults can enjoy. It comes with soup and a drink. It reminds me of the children's lunch I used to have when my parents took me to department store cafeterias. The adult version of the children's lunch is a nostalgic and satisfying dish. The plate is filled with classics like omurice, hamburger steak, spaghetti Napolitan, fried shrimp, and potato salad. Each dish is served individually as it is originally a Western-style restaurant, making this plate a collection of their best dishes. It's like a treasure chest of Western cuisine. The flag on top of the omurice is a nice touch that adds to the nostalgic feel. I enjoyed the children's lunch while feeling like a child again.

Ueno and Kanda area is famous for its Jura restaurant, which opened in Kanda Sudacho, Kanda Ward, Tokyo City in 1924. It quickly became popular for offering affordable Western food during the turbulent times of Taisho Democracy. The restaurant had a significant impact on Tokyo's food culture and expanded to various locations in Ueno, Kagurazaka, and other parts of Tokyo. Although the original location is now gone, the restaurant can be found on the third floor of UDX in Akihabara. I visited the restaurant and tried their omurice, which was delicious and reasonably priced. The lunch menu also offers hamburgers, curry, and a luxurious adult child's lunch set. The omurice was fluffy and flavorful, served with ketchup on the side. The homemade ketchup had a rich tomato flavor that complemented the dish well. Overall, the meal was simple but tasty. I regret not ordering the drink and salad set for an additional 400 yen to balance out the lack of vegetables in the meal. Considering the history and quality of the restaurant, the price of 980 yen for the omurice was reasonable. I hope the restaurant continues to thrive. Thank you for the meal. --------------------------------------- Thank you for 2022. Looking forward to 2023 ☆

In Akihabara UDX, there is a Western-style restaurant that has a nostalgic retro feel and a stylish modern atmosphere. It's a cute place! I was excited to go there because they offer children's lunches even for adults. The children's menu is separate, by the way. It's been so long since I had a children's lunch, I can't remember! The sight of the flag outside made me so excited. The menu includes fluffy omelette rice, 100% beef hamburger, Napolitan, shrimp fry, salad, and more! The portions are generous, and each dish is authentic and delicious. Whether it's a date, hanging out with friends, or a family outing, it's a cozy and nostalgic place to enjoy.

Located in a corner of the restaurant area in UDX in Akihabara. Access from the station is excellent. I went there for lunch on a weekend, and the restaurant was about 80% full. Mostly table seats, but there were also about 5 counter seats along the window, so it seems fine for dining alone. The atmosphere is a bit like an old Western-style restaurant, with a slightly classical decor. It's calming. I felt like having an adult lunch from the start, but there were actually two options for adult lunches... (Menu photo available) I was so torn, but I decided to go with the omurice set, and this is what I got! The appearance is so exciting!! The omurice is the classic chicken rice. Eating it together with the sweet and creamy omelette is the best. I didn't really taste much chicken flavor, it was more like ketchup rice. The shrimp fry had a crispy coating and was quite large! The shrimp inside was packed and had a nice texture. The tartar sauce was quite runny, and I spilled some halfway through (lol). The hamburger steak is a meaty type with not much filler. It was a bit firm, but I love this kind of hamburger steak. I knew it was delicious because I ordered the plate lunch with about three hamburger steaks last time I came. The Napolitan pasta had thick noodles with bacon and onions. The noodles were thick but not too chewy, with a good texture. I could taste the acidity of the ketchup quite well. I really liked the flavor. This dish is quite filling, and it's perfect when you want something like this once in a while. Great access, reasonable prices, good portion size, highly recommended!

We took the train to Akihabara, bought board games for two, got hungry and decided to go to Akihabara UDX for some Western food. We ordered the Shrimp Tomato Omelette Rice for 1526 yen, but it was just average with no special sweetness in the omelette and the shrimp fry was also ordinary. My partner had the Beef Stew Omelette Rice, which was also lacking in flavor. After lunch, we went for a walk in Ueno, bought bread from Pelican, had iced coffee at Dean & Deluca in Matsuya, and rested. Later, we bought a bento from Masumoto at Ueno's Jiyugaoka Garden before heading home. It was a fun first day of the three-day weekend. Tomorrow, we are expecting heavy rain and strong winds in the Kanto region due to Typhoon 14, which is the largest since the Showa era with a pressure of 910 hPa, approaching the south of Kagoshima. We can only hope for minimal damage in Western Japan starting tomorrow.

I visited a Western-style restaurant called Juraku in Ueno when I felt like eating Western food. It is a cafeteria-style restaurant with a menu centered around hamburgers and omurice during lunchtime. I arrived around 1 pm and the restaurant was moderately busy. I was seated right away without having to wait. I ordered the Omukatsu Curry in large size (1,490 yen). I was drawn to the omurice rather than the hamburger for some reason, so that's what I chose. Since I was feeling good, I decided to add the large size option (an additional 110 yen). The plate arrived soon after. The large size portion looked quite substantial. The omurice was a bit firm, not as fluffy as I had expected. The cutlet was freshly fried and hot, easy to cut with a spoon. The curry had a nice level of spiciness. I wished there were condiments like a flavoring set or fukujinzuke on the table, but I guess it's understandable for a Western-style cafeteria. The large portion filled me up quite well. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Akihabara Denkigai exit and walk towards UDX for about 5 minutes. It's on the third floor. The ketchup omelette rice looks delicious, so I ordered a large portion. The omelette rice is fluffy and delicious. When I arrived, I immediately took a bite. The ketchup is rich and tasty. The omelette on top has a fluffy texture, while the inside is chicken rice. It's a large portion, so it's satisfying to eat. I enjoyed it with a Super Dry beer. It was surprisingly delicious for a random visit. It might be a good choice when you feel like eating omelette rice.

A long-established Western-style restaurant with good access from Akihabara Station. The spacious interior with large windows and jazz music playing was very relaxing. I wish they had served soup on the side. The tonkatsu was very tender.

Due to the parking situation, I chose a restaurant inside UDX and visited here. It had a true Western-style atmosphere, and the food lived up to my expectations. I ordered the beef stew, which was cooked in a rich demi-glace sauce. The meat was tender and flavorful, with a delicious taste of beef that remained. I thought it would be even better if they offered menu customization for more variety.

I was in the mood for Western food, so I went to Sudacho Shokudo in Akihabara UDX. I was seated at the counter by the window, which was very open and nice as I could see outside. Looking at the menu, they had classic dishes like hamburger and omurice, but I decided to order the popular "Adult Kid's Lunch Western Food Plate" to try a variety of dishes. It took about 15 minutes for the food to arrive, but I saw it as a sign of them cooking it freshly. The plate had a flag with the restaurant name and established in Taisho 13 (1924) written on it. The omurice was fluffy and the chicken rice inside was good. The hamburger had a nice texture with less filler and you could taste the coarsely ground meat. The shrimp fry was large and crispy, with a firm and flavorful filling. Everything was made with care and it felt nostalgic. I might need to adjust my diet for the rest of the day after eating so much during lunch.

I was walking on the second floor of Akihabara UDX when I saw the sign for "Suda-cho Shokudo" on the third floor, so I decided to stop by. I was expecting a Japanese-style eatery, but it turned out to be a Western-style restaurant. Nevertheless, I went in and ordered the "Suda-cho Plate for Adult Children." The restaurant has been around since the Taisho era, so I was hoping for a taste of tradition, but it ended up tasting like a chain restaurant. On my way out, I noticed that the receipt had the name "Juraku" on it. Thank you for the meal, and thank you for your hospitality.
