When I went to Tokyo for business, I visited this restaurant with a young friend who accompanied me. It was right after opening on a weekday (5 pm). The restaurant is located along Showa Street (National Route 4) to the northeast of Akihabara Station. It's about a 3-4 minute walk from the Showa Street exit of the station, making it a very convenient location. A white sign with the restaurant's name is displayed above the entrance. The restaurant is on the first floor of an 8-story building. The exterior looks very traditional Japanese, with white lanterns hanging by the entrance. Inside, the decor is clean and traditional Japanese. Surprisingly, it had a deep layout. There were about 8 tables for 2-4 people each. Several male staff members were efficient and quick. When we arrived, we were the only customers, but more people started coming in shortly after. It seems to be a popular place. The other customers were mostly groups of 2-4 salarymen or middle-aged men dining alone, indicating that it has a lot of regulars. The menu offers a variety of dishes such as sashimi, grilled dishes, fried dishes, simmered dishes, other izakaya-style dishes, and meal options. As the name suggests, seafood seems to be their specialty. The prices were reasonable. My friend and I ordered "Fresh mackerel sashimi for 1,000 yen," "Dashimaki with Kujo green onions for 720 yen," "Natural yellowtail sashimi for 950 yen," "Cucumber salted kelp salad for 400 yen," and "Deep-fried mego fish for 650 yen" (all prices include tax). I had a draft beer and a sudachi sour to drink. There was no appetizer. The food and drinks were served promptly. The dishes were all delicious, with simple cooking methods that allowed the ingredients to shine. The three standout dishes were the fresh mackerel sashimi, the natural yellowtail sashimi, and the deep-fried mego fish. The mackerel sashimi had a unique taste, with a good balance of flavors and textures. The natural yellowtail sashimi was fresh and had a delicate texture, while the deep-fried mego fish had a light saltiness and a rich umami flavor. It paired well with the sudachi sour. I also read that the seafood bowl for lunch is delicious, so I would love to try it if I have the chance.
