I went to Harajuku to buy a leather jacket and stopped by this restaurant around 1:30pm. There was a sign at the entrance instructing customers to wait outside until called by the staff, so I bought a meal ticket from the machine and waited outside for about 5 minutes... which made me a little anxious. After a while, a staff member came to get me. This time, I ordered the "Roast Beef Bowl - Large" for 1400 yen and a "Salad and Miso Soup" for 100 yen. When I sat down, the meal arrived in about 5 minutes. The salad was a decent size, mostly cabbage, but for 100 yen including miso soup, I think it's a great deal. The cabbage was tasty, so I saved half to enjoy with the roast beef. The roast beef bowl had beautifully arranged slices of roast beef piled high like a mountain. It may look like a huge portion in the photos, but in reality, the bowl has a raised bottom so the quantity isn't as much as it seems. Still, it was a satisfying amount and I was happy with it. The roast beef was rare, pink, tender, flavorful, and delicious. It was topped with a sweet sauce, a white sauce (similar to mayonnaise or sour cream), and a bright egg yolk, which added a nice touch. The miso soup had wheat gluten and seaweed as ingredients and was also very tasty. Overall, it was a soft and delicious roast beef bowl, truly living up to the hype of being a trendsetter in the industry. I saw a sign outside advertising draft beer for 173 yen, so I was excited to have one, but unfortunately, they were sold out... Can draft beer really sell out? Well, it's okay, so I settled for a highball for 190 yen. The highball was also cheap but... anyway, it was a great meal.
