Get off at Tokyo Teleport Station on the Rinkai Line. When you come out to the ground and look around, you will find the complex commercial facility "DiverCity Tokyo Plaza". You can also reach it from Odaiba Station on the Yurikamome Line, but it is closer from Tokyo Teleport Station. Go up the escalator at the front entrance of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza and walk a little to the left, you will find a Sanrio gift shop mainly featuring Hello Kitty. On the left side of the store, they sell "Konngariyaki", a sweet treat in the shape of Hello Kitty. The store was renovated on October 1, 2016, with an increase in "Gudetama Konngariyaki", and they added sweets like Hello Kitty curry rice and Sanrio character mugs. They also set up an eat-in area. Due to this, the goods sales area has been reduced. In April 2012, around 6 pm on a weekday, I ordered a 10-piece set of Konngariyaki (including 5% consumption tax). The price was 420 yen including tax. The Konngariyaki is shaped like Hello Kitty, but it's not as crispy as the name suggests. You can choose from three flavors: plain, chocolate flake, and cheese cream. If you wish, they will put each flavor in separate plastic bags for you. However, I think it's more fun to eat them all together with everyone, adding a Russian roulette element. But you can tell the chocolate flavor by looking at the back of Hello Kitty. Plain: you can enjoy the taste of the dough without anything inside, a flavor that everyone can enjoy. In fact, they even sell soft serve ice cream with Konngariyaki. Chocolate: you can enjoy the crispy texture of the flakes for a moment. Cheese: it's quite salty, so some people may like it and some may not. In November 2016, around 3 pm on a holiday, I visited the store again after its renovation. Now, besides Kitty, you can also enjoy other food items. I couldn't resist something that caught my eye at the Konngariyaki counter, so I bought it to avoid regret later (including 8% consumption tax). I ordered a 10-piece set of Gudetama Konngariyaki for 400 yen including tax. There were only two flavors available: plain and chocolate flake. So, I decided to get 5 pieces of each flavor for a total of 10 pieces to take home. The paper bag with the Gudetama design is cute. Both the plain and chocolate flake Konngariyaki had the same impression as the Hello Kitty ones mentioned earlier. I felt that the plain one had a moist and chewy texture.
