Located on the north side of Shimokitazawa Station at 2-25-4 Kitazawa, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. I had registered my interest in visiting based on the reviews from Mairevi-san, so I visited at 4:48 PM on a Saturday. The evening business hours start at 5 PM, so I waited a bit and was the first to enter. I purchased a ticket for the special limited edition Ise lobster and shellfish ramen for 1,300 yen from the ticket machine inside the restaurant, then sat at the counter and handed it to the staff. The staff consisted of both male and female members, and the other customers who arrived later were all women. The interior of the restaurant had Western music playing. The ramen arrived at 6:06 PM. The noodles were thin and flat, with a smooth texture. The soup had a nice balance of shellfish and lobster flavors, making it enjoyable to drink. The seasoned egg had a creamy yolk, and the three types of chashu (chicken breast, pork belly, and pork shoulder loin) paired well with the soup. I slowly melted the truffle butter into the broth as I ate. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Located just a minute's walk from the station, this small restaurant has a quick turnover, making it perfect for those looking for a fast meal. I ordered the soy sauce ramen, which had a traditional, light and refreshing soup. The soup was easy to drink and had a nice touch of onions. The chashu was like chicken ham, which is trendy now, and there were three slices including pork. The prices are reasonable, and overall, it's a ramen shop that lives up to expectations.

The umami of the clam and the gentle flavor of the beef bone soup blend together in the soup. The noodles are medium-thin, which go well with the soup. The purple onions added a nice accent. I felt like it would also go well with shichimi spice sprinkled on top. Thank you for the delicious meal ^^

Visited at 6:00 PM on a weekday - the place was almost half full. Located a 1-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. Ordered the Ajitama Chuka Soba (soy sauce) for ¥980. The bowl arrived a few minutes after ordering. The hot soup was too hot to taste at first. The initial mouthful left me puzzled. The soup had a strong umami and saltiness (possibly from MSG) that overshadowed the flavors of clams and beef bones. As the aftertaste lingered, a subtle beef bone flavor emerged. The noodles were on the softer side, complementing the soup well. It would have been even better if the clam flavor was more pronounced.

A must-try for shellfish lovers!! I ordered the special soy sauce ramen and a small clam rice bowl! The soy sauce base had a strong shellfish aroma, and I could really feel the attention to detail and originality in it!! There were also 2 pieces each of 3 different types of chashu, so I could enjoy them all! I would love to come back and enjoy it slowly next time.

So, I went there. This was actually my second visit, but Shimokitazawa is quite far from my usual stomping grounds. I had heard on X (formerly Twitter) that their air conditioning was broken, so I was impressed that they were still open in this scorching heat. There were no lines, just three customers ahead of me. There was even a solo female customer, and the friendly female staff quickly seated me. The welcoming atmosphere for women was great. The owner seemed a bit reserved, but I really like their vibe (suddenly confessing). Their dedication to ramen is evident to me, even as a novice. The taste was like enjoying a refined seafood bowl, with a hint of elegance. They suggested adding wasabi for a flavor change, and it really enhanced the rich seafood taste. This was the most satisfying ramen experience I've had in a while. I'll definitely be back.

Cold clam noodles. Served with homemade oil with wasabi and scallops. This is probably my third time enjoying this dish this summer. The noodles are thin and flat, chilled and firm (though I wish they were a bit colder) making it the perfect noodle dish for a summer lunch. The cold clam broth noodles are simply irresistible, showcasing the skill of the chef in making the broth. They also have limited edition noodles, so you just have to keep coming back to try them all.

This ramen shop, which I have visited about 10 times, is a favorite of mine. As a fan of house-style ramen and Mongolian tanmen, when asked about my favorite ramen, I would answer with "Kai Ramen" because it is so delicious. The broth made from clams is flavorful, and the noodles are just the right thickness and softness, making the soup irresistible. Although the seating in the shop is limited, the turnover rate is high, so you don't have to worry too much about waiting in line.

[Log] Cold clam noodles for around 1050 yen? The familiar clam noodles as always. Craving for clams in the middle of the day, even though I'm not sure if they're in there. This is my second time ordering the cold noodles, but I forgot last time. This cold dish is not cold. I should have asked for some ice...

Impressive moist chicken chashu. The broth allows you to taste the shellfish, and the medium-thin noodles are chewy. Ordering the special shellfish noodles gives you a double chashu of pork and chicken, with the chicken chashu being moist and flavorful. I want to come back again. The interior of the restaurant was warm, maybe the air conditioning was broken? Kaimean (Shimokitazawa)

The clam ramen costs 1080 yen. The clam broth is rich, and the firm noodles topped with seasoned egg and three types of chashu are delicious. It feels like you're savoring the flavor of the clam soup, which is just incredibly tasty. The restaurant has only 7 counter seats, integrated with the kitchen, so I enjoyed my meal while sweating profusely. If I come back in the summer, I'd like to try the cold noodles.

I had the Shoyu Ramen with seasoned egg for 980 yen. It was my first visit in a year. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was different from what I remembered (maybe the owner moved to the new shop in Ogikubo?). The ramen had a strong clam flavor.

Arrived before 8 pm on a weekday, no line. Got my bowl in about 5 minutes. The soup has a refreshing scent of sansho pepper, with a nice balance of sweetness from the Manjanshi chili and richness from the clam broth. The noodles are medium straight and chewy like cold noodles. I personally prefer them a bit softer. The chashu consisted of 3 slices of chicken breast and 2 slices of pork shoulder, the pork shoulder was tender and delicious. The purple onion and lemon added a nice touch, giving a cool and refreshing taste.

Visited with 3 guys on Sunday afternoon. Waited a bit before getting seated. Ordered clam ramen in large size with green onions, clam and rice bowl, and canned beer. The flavors were too mild, almost too gentle if you're really hungry. Needed more kick, like pepper or condiments on the table. Probably won't visit again.

Visited for the first time with the intention of trying the clam broth ramen! Arrived around 1pm on a weekday and there were 6 people waiting outside. Waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. [Soup] A combination of clam broth and beef soup. The rich soy sauce base with the flavor of clams was delicious! I almost finished every last drop, it was that good. [Noodles] Thin straight noodles that paired well with the soup. [Chashu] Two slices of pork belly, two slices each of rare pork loin and chicken breast. All were seasoned just right and delicious, with the pork belly being my favorite. [Flavored Egg] Slightly runny with perfect seasoning. [Others] The crunchy texture of the chopped purple onions was great. Green onions. They also offer paper aprons. Overall, this was the best ramen I've had recently! I also tried a bite of the "Clam Noodles (Clam White Soup)" ordered by my companion, and it was also delicious! The clam flavor was more pronounced in that one, so those who prefer that may enjoy it more. It's right by the station and the price of 1,080 yen for such quality is amazing! If this place was near my workplace, I would want to go once a week. If I had to nitpick, thicker slices of chashu would have made it perfect!

I was intrigued by the clam and beef bone ramen. I came with the intention of eating the standard ramen, but ended up ordering the limited edition clam and eel ramen that caught my attention. However, despite ordering it for the clams, the ramen was mostly eel. The soup was dominated by the eel flavor. Towards the end, the clam flavor came through slightly as it cooled down. The eel itself had thick skin and was not that great. I paid 2000 yen for it, so I was a bit disappointed with the outcome. Additionally, the air conditioning in the restaurant was weak and it was too hot inside! If I come back, I would like to try the regular ramen and give it a fair evaluation.

I visited around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and there were already about 3 groups waiting. I had the salt ramen, which was one of the most delicious I have ever had among all the broth-based ramen I've tried. The broth seemed to be mainly made from scallops, clams, and other shellfish, spreading the richness of each flavor throughout the mouth. The owner seems to have trained at a Japanese restaurant, and this delicate and elegant taste is fully expressed in the ramen soup as well. If you like broth-based ramen, it's worth a visit.

Cold noodles with crab and shellfish. Served with crab miso and ankimo paste on the side. As you mix them together, the flavors change. At first, the taste may seem a bit light with the crab and shellfish, but once you mix in the paste, the richness of the crab miso and ankimo really stand out, creating a deep and flavorful combination with the soy sauce. The noodles are thin and flat, perfect for the shellfish broth-based cold dish. It would be even better if it was a bit colder... Looking forward to the next limited edition dish despite this minor issue.

I ate at a pop-up store. There were a lot of people lining up on the first day of opening, but we were able to get a seat in about 15 minutes because the turnover was fast. I chose the light miso flavor, and it had a well-balanced seasoning, just as I had hoped. Next time, I want to try the salt flavor.

In Shimokitazawa, there are surprisingly many ramen shops that caught my attention. When I asked my junior where they wanted to go, they chose Mika-wa. The clam broth was incredibly delicious. Was it shijimi? The exquisite flavor and perfect seasoning were top-notch. There were three types of chashu, all incredibly delicious!
