I used to often go to Akihabara when I was a college student, and I visited the Showa Shokudo, which was cheap, had a large portion, and was delicious. It had been a while since I last visited. The Showa era BGM was still playing. I went on a Friday around 11:30 am, and I was able to get in right away. I ordered the usual special beef bowl with extra large serving (¥680). I remembered it being ¥500 or ¥600 when I was a student, but the price had indeed gone up. The taste was still nostalgic and good, and it was nice that the miso soup refill was still available.

There is a job in Akihabara, and I finally tried the stamina bowl at a restaurant that I had been curious about. The stamina bowl is only 680 yen! Plus, it comes with a raw egg and miso soup, which makes it a great deal. The flavor is on the rich side with a salty onion salt base, and you can add your own pickled ginger, sauce, etc. to customize the taste. You can also get a large serving of rice at no extra cost. It's a bit salty, but for this price, it's acceptable. You can also add extra meat for only 880 yen, so I am very satisfied. Next time, I want to try adding kimchi.

In Tokyo, is there a place that offers a lot of meat, includes raw egg, free extra large portions, and unlimited miso soup refills? Yes, it's the popular Showa Shokudo. The name fits perfectly with the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant. Today, the seats were filled mostly with young people. And all of this for only 680 yen. With so many positive reviews, you can't go wrong with a meal at this place.

I had some time in the morning and decided to stop by Akihabara. While waiting for the store I wanted to visit to open, I took a stroll around the station. I passed by a shop that stood out with its menu, but when I checked the prices, I was surprised by how good the value was, especially in this day and age! It turned out to be a stamina bowl restaurant, which is a kind of hearty dish with pork. After finishing my shopping, I decided to have lunch at that shop, but there was already a long line! It seems that men are drawn to affordable and delicious food! I eventually got in and ordered the stamina bowl for 680 yen, which came with a raw egg and soup. The flavor was rich and it had a strong green onion and salt taste. You could also add pickled ginger and sauce to customize the taste. I left feeling full and satisfied. They also offer a large portion of rice at no extra cost. It was delicious - I recommend this place!

I always forget to take photos, I'm sorry about that. I was looking for something near the station and came across this place. It seemed like a hearty meal place, but I was drawn to the egg on the "makanai donburi" sign outside. There were a few people lining up. As expected, I had to wait a bit to buy a meal ticket and then entered the restaurant. It looked bigger inside than it did from the outside, with a second floor as well. After a while, my meal arrived. It was delicious. The taste was just right, and it felt like I was making it myself. The flavor was hard to describe, but it was just right. And the rice was delicious. Even after soaking up the broth, it didn't have that dry feeling you get with chain restaurants' white rice. I'm not a fan of that, so I usually order my gyudon without broth. I wonder if anyone else can relate to that. But with this dish, I felt at ease. I'd like to try their regular stamina donburi or curry too, but personally, the "makanai donburi" feels safe and satisfying.

The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Akihabara Station. I didn't quite understand the concept of "Showa Shokudo," but it's a reasonably priced restaurant where you can get a Stamina Bowl starting at 680 yen including tax. There is a nice ticket machine right at the entrance. I sat at the counter on the first floor. I chose the Stamina Bowl (large size) for 680 yen including tax, which comes with miso soup and a raw egg. You can also get a beef bowl set menu for a similar price. The Stamina Bowl was lighter in flavor than I expected, making it easy to eat. Overall, it was delicious, but the quality of the meat and miso soup felt a bit cheap. Considering the price, it was still worth it. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 2 pm on a Sunday after taking an afternoon break. There were about 3 people waiting, but the turnover was quick so I was able to enter the restaurant in 2-3 minutes. I ordered the Stamina Don, opting for the large size since it was the same price as the regular size. It was a generous portion, but compared to the original "Suta Don," it was a typical amount. It consisted of pork belly sautéed in garlic sauce on top of rice. It had a punchy flavor and was delicious! I poured the special sauce on the table over a raw egg to make a rich egg over rice dish. It was very rich and tasty! It wasn't as strong in flavor as the "Suta Don," so I didn't get tired of eating it. Next time, I want to try the curry combination! Thank you for the meal.

Sometimes I feel like having a hearty lunch... So, while visiting Akihabara, I decided to visit "Showa Shokudo Akihabara Ekimae" for lunch. I have been here a few times before, but sometimes I just crave it, you know? Plus, this restaurant. I remember visiting on the day of the major earthquake, and just as I was about to eat, I felt the tremors inside the restaurant, so I evacuated outside without eating, such a memorable experience haha. First, I purchased a meal ticket. I chose the "Stamina Don with extra meat + side menu chicken karaage". I was quickly seated, and to my surprise, I was seated at the same spot where I was during the earthquake haha. The restaurant has plenty of seats, so why that seat? I sat down pondering various things. Come to think of it, at that time, the customer next to me was eating while shaking his hands, and I was trying not to mind, thinking maybe he was sick. But when I looked at the wall closely, I saw cracks starting to appear, and I realized that both myself and the seat were shaking quite a bit, that was a funny incident. Even so, the staff were cooking as usual, saying it will settle down quickly, acting all calm, so I got angry, locked the meal ticket machine, and made the staff evacuate the customers outside, remembering that incident. As I reminisce, my order for the day finally arrives. Oh, this, this. Junk food that I occasionally crave!! I won't talk much about it this time. As expected, it's a hearty meal that will give you stamina haha. Thank you for the meal. This restaurant, filled with memories, is just delicious as usual, so if you're visiting Akihabara for sightseeing or tourism, please be sure to stop by. Enjoy!

I went to Showa Shokudo, located in the building next to the old Sega arcade, after exiting the Electric Town side of Akihabara Station. It is a pork bowl restaurant. The taste is quite delicious. It was a bit cold sitting under the air conditioning on the second floor. The seats were mostly filled. It was disappointing that they did not have sauce available to enjoy the richness. Thank you for the meal.

I entered the restaurant around 7:30 PM and the first floor was empty. I ordered the Stamina Don with a raw egg and miso soup, and opted for the large portion which was the same price at 680 yen. I purchased a ticket and handed it to the staff, who then guided me to the second floor counter. I didn't realize there was a second floor. The food was served in about 7 minutes, but the raw egg didn't crack cleanly. The taste was a garlic-rich pork bowl with a hint of artificial flavoring. The rice was a bit mushy and not that great. The miso soup was free for refills though. It's not expensive, but the beef bowl might be a better deal. It was good to be able to eat there since it's always crowded.

I visited the famous original "Stamina Donburi" at Showa Shokudo Akihabara Station Front store, which I had been wanting to try once. Since the first floor was crowded, I was guided to the second floor. I ordered the regular size of the famous Stamina Donburi. It was nice that it came with a raw egg and miso soup. The Stamina Donburi is delicious on its own, but there are plenty of condiments on the table and recommended ways to eat it written on a note, so you can find a way that suits you. I ended up trying all the ways to eat it, but they were all delicious and I couldn't choose. It was a restaurant I would like to visit again.

I went with a company senior. I felt like eating "suta-don" for some reason, but the senior said there is a place that is similar to suta-don and delicious, so we went there. It was indeed similar to suta-don and delicious. I also ordered the spicy sauce, which added a nice kick to the flavor and made it enjoyable to have a different taste halfway through. It was a delicious taste that makes you want to come back regularly, becoming addictive.

While walking near Akihabara Station, I came across this restaurant and decided to go in. I purchased the "Jangjung Yaki set meal with fried chicken" from the ticket machine next to the entrance. I was guided to a seat on the second floor, where I found various condiments, sauces, and lemon sauce. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Just next to Akihabara Station, there is a hearty dining spot for young people. Today, I visited Misato for work-related matters with my boss. After successfully finishing the scheduled meeting in the afternoon, I took the Musashino Line and Tsukuba Express to return to Akihabara Station. My boss transferred at a different station along the way, so since I had come all the way to Akihabara, we decided to grab dinner at a nearby restaurant before heading home. I had bookmarked a restaurant near Akihabara Station on the food review app and the target I set was this restaurant. The main reason for choosing this place was its proximity and the fact that it seemed like a place where we could have a quick meal in a short amount of time. We arrived at the restaurant around 5:15 PM, and looking through the glass, I could see that there were a fair number of customers inside. Checking the menu board outside, I saw that they offered popular dishes like the fried chicken set meal (820 yen), the famous Stamina Donburi (regular or large: 680 yen), as well as other options like the staff meal bowl (regular or large: 980 yen), the top harami bowl (regular or large: 1180 yen), the beef hormone stir-fry set meal (980 yen), the pork kimchi bowl (regular or large: 680 yen), the spicy stir-fried noodles set meal (regular: 820 yen), the chicken cutlet curry (regular: 880 yen), the Stamina and curry combo (regular: 880 yen), and the combo chicken cutlet curry (regular: 1080 yen), with the option to change miso soup to pork soup for an additional 200 yen. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed a ticket machine next to the entrance, so I proceeded to purchase my meal ticket there. As planned, I quickly purchased the large Stamina Donburi and the pork soup upgrade. I handed my meal ticket to the staff, who then guided me to a counter seat on the second floor. The eagerly awaited Stamina Donburi and pork soup arrived in about 5 minutes. The famous Stamina Donburi is inspired by the classic stamina bowl, with a generous serving of garlic soy sauce-flavored pork belly on top of rice. It tasted just as delicious as I had imagined, and when I added the beaten raw egg halfway through, it gave a slightly milder flavor (you can also adjust the taste with lemon juice, pepper, special sauce, or special spicy sauce). The white miso-based pork soup was filled with plenty of root vegetables, providing a decent level of tastiness. This restaurant is conveniently located near Akihabara Station and is a great choice for a quick and satisfying meal.

The restaurant is known for its high-volume enka music playing in the background. The menu features a popular Stamina Don and a Chicken Set Meal for 820 yen. The location and catchy atmosphere seem to attract a steady flow of customers. I was seated on the second floor-like area, but tall individuals should be cautious of the low ceiling. The food was decent. Thank you for the meal.

Located near Akihabara Electric Town Exit, this restaurant offers a famous Stamina Don and other hearty menu options. The dish features pork ginger stir-fried in a rich garlic soy sauce, served on top of rice with an egg. You can also adjust the flavor using the condiments on the table. It's a must-try menu for when you're feeling hungry.

After a business dinner at a sushi restaurant in Kanda, I visited a second restaurant in Akihabara for dinner. I arrived around 9:50 PM on a weekday and there were three people waiting outside. I bought a ticket for the regular size curry rice at the ticket machine inside the restaurant for 650 yen. After waiting for about 6 minutes, I was called inside and guided to the second floor. I decided to sit at the counter on the second floor instead of waiting in line. I asked the staff to change my order to the "Stamina and Curry Combo" for an additional 150 yen. After 12 minutes, the Stamina and Curry Combo and miso soup arrived. The special sauce and spicy condiment mentioned in the menu were not provided, so I had to ask the staff to bring them to me. The pork in the Stamina dish had a strong garlic flavor. When I added the special sauce and spicy condiment, the flavor became quite intense. The curry was made with curry powder and tasted like typical Japanese curry, which was delicious. The rice was very firm and not cooked to my liking. The miso soup had seaweed and green onions as toppings. I learned that miso soup refills were free, but not for the pork miso soup. Next time, I plan to try the regular curry rice with fried chicken topping. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by this restaurant while on my way to work. There were two people waiting in front of the shop, but I was quickly seated and led to the ticket machine. I could only use cash, so I inserted the money and ordered a "suta-don with extra meat." I handed the food ticket to the staff member in the aisle and sat at the counter. The rice bowl arrived in about 5 minutes. The visual presentation was smaller than a chain restaurant's suta-don, similar to a regular beef bowl. The extra meat made the meat layer thick. The taste was a bit on the mild side, maybe because there was a description on the table that you could adjust the flavor to be refreshing or hearty. It wasn't amazingly delicious, but it was simply tasty.

Food Fight Volume Half Marathon, went to the public bath after running, and now, super hungry, let's go!! [Order] Aimore Chicken Cutlet Curry / Mega Portion ¥1100 [Food / Taste] There's about 1kg of rice, around 6 pieces of chicken cutlet, lots of stamina meat, and curry that's just overflowing! The curry is on the sweeter side, similar to Kanazawa style, very delicious and not boring. The meat is tender and flavorful with a salty garlic taste, just as it looks. The chicken cutlet is a bit tough and disappointing. [Atmosphere / Service] Asked how big the Mega portion was in front of the ticket machine, and was shown a sample. Very kind. There's a counter on the 1st floor, 1.5th floor, and 2nd floor is unclear. Was guided to the 1.5th floor. Could focus on eating here. [Others] For ¥1100, this amount is insane. Is it okay to have such good cost performance in this day and age? I consider myself a big eater, but I won't order this again. (In a good way, I managed to finish it, but skipped breakfast and lunch the next day. I wish there was a shop like this near my home or workplace.
