This week, I've been moving around to eat at delicious restaurants before the year ends. This place is a three-story building and I can't help but think of it as the savior of lunch refugees with its excellent hospitality. Today, I ordered the classic lunch menu, Negi Char Siu Ramen, which came with a small rice and dessert - a very appreciated addition. Just having dessert included makes me feel like the place is high-class. I love the old-fashioned, comforting taste of the soup seasoning, it gives off a real "downtown Chinese" vibe that I enjoy. It was delicious again today! Thank you for the meal!

The place is not fancy, but it offers good value for Chinese food. They offer all-you-can-eat, and the taste is satisfying with generous portion sizes. It was a bit noisy as we were on the same floor as a lively party. Overall, it's worth the cost and I would recommend it.

I became a lunch refugee and had to stretch my legs, so today I had lunch on the third floor. I ordered the classic ramen and half-fried rice set. It was a satisfying meal and I finished it all. It was delicious as usual. Now I might have to battle with drowsiness in the afternoon. It was tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Today I found myself struggling to decide on a lunch spot and ended up walking quite a bit. I couldn't find a good place to eat until I stumbled upon this restaurant with three floors. Despite the time passing, there were still plenty of seats available, including the option to share a table. It was my first time here, and I decided to try the stir-fried pork, vegetable, and mushroom set meal that caught my eye on the menu outside. It came with a generous amount of vegetables and even included dessert, making it a satisfying meal. There were so many menu options that I would love to come back and try more dishes in the future. My stomach is now full, and I want to say thank you for the delicious meal!

I found a restaurant open after 3:00 PM when I was about to become a lunch refugee. It was a smoking-permitted establishment, although that wasn't clear from the outside. I ordered the "sweet and sour pork set meal," which was reasonably priced. They also mentioned that from 1:00 PM, you can request iced coffee. Thank you for the meal, and thank you very much.

The daily menu changes every day, so I tried it for the first time. Today's menu included seafood porridge, Shanghai fried noodles, and white fish fry. The porridge had a strong broth and was delicious, but it had few ingredients. The fried noodles were a bit greasy but I finished it. I asked for iced coffee after the meal and ended up quite full.

Today I had miso ramen!! It was delicious with plenty of vegetables! Personally, I would be happy if it had a spicy flavor, but it has a good richness and volume, and the curly noodles are delicious. I'm not sure if 750 yen is expensive or cheap, but it's delicious so I'm satisfied. A small bowl of rice is also included, but I couldn't finish it so I had it cut. I was soothed by the complimentary iced coffee after the meal.

■ Pre-visit Evaluation: ★3.28
I have visited this restaurant several times before. There is a Chinese restaurant a few doors down, but this place allows smoking.
■ Atmosphere & Service:
The interior is a bit small. Although smoking is allowed, there were no smokers nearby when I visited, so it didn't bother me. During the quiet period in the afternoon (around 13:00-17:00), they offer free coffee. I ordered the Black Pepper Beef Stir-Fry for ¥750, which is not a common item on other menus.
■ Taste & Cost Performance:
The dish consisted of beef with bell peppers, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, black fungus, and onions, providing a variety of flavors. As the name suggests, it had a spicy kick from the pepper. It was delicious. The portion size was decent, and I was satisfied.
■ Overall:
There are many Chinese restaurants in this area, and it seems like they are all of a high standard, possibly due to competition.

Large strips of bamboo shoots, green peppers, pork, and thickened sauce that goes perfectly with rice. The egg drop seaweed soup also has a slightly thick texture that complements rice well. The pickled mustard greens have a very light taste, so the spiciness and pungent aroma of the spices are also subtle.

I was planning to go to Irasshaimase TsunTsun Gyoza-ya in Akihabara for lunch, but I accidentally entered the wrong place. I should have looked around a bit more. I wanted to eat Shanghai-style fried noodles, but they didn't have it here, so I ended up having the five-ingredient soba. The dish came in a pretty large bowl, with a side of small rice and almond jelly. The soup was a bit light, but it had a decent flavor with seafood and vegetables. The curly noodles were just average. The restaurant had a fair amount of customers, so maybe it's popular? Overall, it was a decent meal.

I saw a handwritten daily menu on the outside signboard. Today's special was "Youlinji". I immediately went in! Although it was slightly fried too much, the chicken was thick and delicious. I love sour flavors, so I added vinegar while eating. It came with shredded lettuce and cabbage, so the portion was sufficient. After the meal, I was served a complimentary iced coffee. The set menu had changed slightly.

I visited for lunch today. The menu of the day was "Gomoku Ramen"! It had plenty of ingredients, which made me happy. Rice was also served, but I couldn't finish it all so I got it cut in half. The soy sauce ramen was topped with a generous amount of "Gomoku" sauce. It was hot, thick, and delicious with a rich flavor. I sprinkled some pepper on top. I added a lot of vinegar for a change in taste halfway through. After the meal, I was served complimentary iced coffee and smoking was allowed. It was a nice place to relax and prepare for work in the afternoon. I will definitely go back.

About 10 years ago, I used to frequent a restaurant called Jokoen in Monzen-Nakacho for their delicious pan-fried dumplings. Recently, I discovered that there are also branches in Akihabara and Kameido, so I decided to try their dumplings again. Although it's been 10 years, I can't say for sure if the taste is the same, but these dumplings have a slightly thick skin with a generous amount of filling. The meat filling is plentiful and juicy, overflowing with flavor when you bite into it. For just 550 yen, you can enjoy a plate of dumplings with a glass of draft beer, making it a great value for money. However, it's not just about the cost - the food at this restaurant is well-prepared. Despite the different locations, it seems that the taste of Jokoen has been maintained.

During the day, on a sunny day, the temperature rises quite a bit. There was a refreshing breeze, but if you keep walking, you start to sweat. On this day, I went to Kurokiya in Akihabara to buy clam soba and soy sauce from Awaji Island. I've been enjoying remote raid battles in the Pokémon Go world for a few days now. It's great that you can participate in raid battles from a distance without going to the gym, but the network errors are annoying. I have a dark hobby of collecting interesting PokéStops and cute gifts that come out of PokéStops, so I walk around Akihabara energetically! I was planning to buy the same bento from the Chinese restaurant I liked last time for takeout, but it was temporarily closed when I got there. So, I looked for a nearby restaurant and found a typical Chinese restaurant. I saw wonton noodles on the menu, and since I still had a craving for wontons from the delicious wonton noodles I had the day before near Gaienmae, I decided to go in without hesitation. Even at this time of year, the restaurant was crowded with local businessmen. Cold tea was served first, and after ordering, the food arrived in about 10 minutes. The wontons were generously filled with 6 or 7 pieces. The hot and crispy soup was also very nice. The meat wontons had a slightly lumpy texture, but that was also enjoyable. The table vinegar added to the junky feeling. The portion of noodles was also large, perfect for a working man's lunch! I didn't order it, but normally it comes with rice. The almond jelly in the lunch set was refreshing. It was fun! Thank you for the meal.

JR Akihabara Station is a 6-minute walk from the Showa-dori exit, about 50 meters from Showa-dori. The restaurant has seating on floors 1-3, and during lunchtime, it is a popular spot filled with office workers. The lunch menu includes 5 set meals, as well as 12 other options like noodles and rice bowls.
Lunch 12: Spicy Dao Xiao Mian (2019.12.3)
The red soup immediately hints at spiciness. The soup has a strong kick from chili peppers and numbing sensation from Sichuan peppercorns. The noodles are wide and have a chewy texture. The toppings include minced meat, spinach, and bean sprouts. The minced meat is flavorful and tastes great when paired with the free small rice during lunchtime.
Lunch 11: Sanra Men (2019.12.3)
This dish features a thick soup with various toppings like egg, bamboo shoots, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and pork. The balance of spiciness and acidity in the soup is excellent. The sauce coats the noodles well and maintains a hot temperature.
Lunch: Almond Tofu (2019.12.3)
This dessert is a refreshing and lightly sweet almond tofu that helps to balance out the spiciness of the meal. During busy lunch hours, some dishes may take a bit longer, so it's best to go with some extra time to enjoy the delicious food. Bon appétit!

Akihabara always seems to make me crave Chinese food for the second stop. Today, I went to the reliable spot. The "Good Job Set" for 550 yen includes a drink and one dish. Perfect for the second round. I had a grapefruit sour and beer. The dishes were tomato and egg stir-fry and pork with garlic stem stir-fry. The tomato and egg stir-fry had a nice balance of tomato acidity and mild eggs. The pork with garlic stem stir-fry had crunchy stems and bits of wood ear mushrooms. A great balance. Feeling a bit mischievous, I ordered more. The fried potatoes had the familiar taste with lots of ketchup. The shrimp and chive buns are one of my favorites. They were piping hot, with chives, meat, shrimp, and more. Full of umami and juicy. Oh, I just remembered. It was the second stop! Even though I ate so much (lol) It was Friday night. Good job for finishing the week! It was a great way to end the night! Looking forward to the next time!

There are many Chinese restaurants in Akihabara where you can have lunch at a reasonable price with good portion sizes. Among them is "Jokoen" located in Taito 1-chome. The restaurant is always crowded with mostly male customers. They offer 5 set lunch options and 12 regular lunch options, all priced at 700 yen. I chose the daily special lunch which included pork belly and cabbage stir-fry, rice, soup, almond jelly, and pickles. The pork belly and cabbage stir-fry was delicious and satisfying. The restaurant is a good choice for everyday dining.

This time, I went to the restaurant Senkouen Akihabara store, where I had been before, for another all-you-can-eat and drink experience. They served tantanmen, kimchi fried rice, yakisoba with five ingredients, Sichuan-style pickled vegetables, pan-fried dumplings, fried chicken, braised pork belly slices, jellyfish and shark fin soup, and fried sesame balls. Although the dishes are delicious, the portion sizes are quite large, so it's best to go with a large group. I think around 10 dishes is the limit for a moderate-sized group. I recommend this place for gatherings like parties, so why not consider using it for your next event?

This place is often used as a second stop. This was my first time on the second floor. The seating here is spacious. The lamb skewers are quite spicy, but not gamey, and delicious. The "good job" set comes with a drink and a proper plate. There's no reason not to order this (lol). I always eat too much, so I regret not coming here as the first stop instead of the second.

I often visit during lunchtime, and always end up ordering the same menu. The Ramen Half Fried Rice Set with almond jelly costs 700 yen. It's a satisfying amount. The ramen has a nostalgic and comforting soup that feels deep. The quality of the ingredients and noodles is not particularly high, but I am always drawn to the deliciousness of the deep and simple taste, and end up devouring it all, even drinking most of the soup. The fried rice is also delicious and piping hot, and the almond jelly after the meal leaves a refreshing feeling in the mouth. There are many Chinese staff at the restaurant, so there may be some misunderstandings or mistakes in the orders, but overall, it's a place I really want near my home.
