A reunion with 4 friends and juniors from university after a long time. I arrived at 17:30 for a 18:30 reservation, and even though the restaurant was still preparing to open, they kindly let me in. They even brought out hot towels and I couldn't resist ordering a draft beer. When the other 3 arrived at the scheduled time, we started our meal. I decided to leave it up to the staff and ordered a mixed grill and a variety of hormone dishes, which they happily accepted. I had no idea how much it would cost, but I trusted the two beautiful waitresses. I also ordered the sesame oil beef liver, kimchi platter, and garlic grilled dish that caught my eye. The beef liver dish was served as it is in the photo, and it was like a piece of history with its raw liver. (Note: It was prepared with low-temperature cooking and served legally.) It was incredibly delicious, so I ordered it again. The hormone dishes were also delicious, especially the sesame wasabi. We also enjoyed the black bean makgeolli drink available. The total cost was over 40,000 yen since we didn't choose a set course, but we were satisfied. It was a restaurant we would like to visit again.

I had never tried Akahoppy before, so I ordered it out of curiosity, and it was delicious! I'm not a fan of dipping sauces like tare or lemon juice, so I eat it as it is. Both the horumon (offal) and akami (lean meat) are tasty. Even without tare or lemon juice, the meat is delicious on its own.

It's a bit away from Akihabara. I'm not sure when it started, but it has a Showa era atmosphere. The place has a retro feel with traditional grills and ducts hanging from the ceiling. The prices are reasonable, ranging from 1000 to 2000 yen for cuts of meat with fat. Hormone dishes are 880 yen with plenty of fat, and the spicy and flavorful kalbi soup is 780 yen. It seems like people use it more as an izakaya than a yakiniku restaurant. They also have a good selection of rice dishes, and it's suitable for dining alone. I'll come back with my family next time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a shop that my senior was interested in. It's a small shop with charcoal grilling, and I really liked the atmosphere and size of the place. Since it was our second stop, we ordered modestly, such as tongue and harami. The tongue had a good amount of marbling and was soft. I usually prefer a bit more chewy texture, but this was delicious too. The lean meat and tongue harami were well-balanced, and there were many varieties of offal and ribs, which seemed like the kings and angels of the menu, so I want to try them next time!

Although it is not located in a popular area like Akihabara and doesn't have an impressive appearance, this yakiniku restaurant serves incredibly delicious meat at a very reasonable price. I am grateful for the experience and I definitely want to visit again.

A yakiniku restaurant located on a small street across from Akihabara Station. We enjoyed delicious horumon (offal) here. After having a fun time at a girls' night out bar, we decided to grab a bite to eat. We happened to pass by this place, which had a welcoming atmosphere and seemed like they served tasty food, so we all agreed to go in. We started with beer and ordered a platter of horumon for three, along with tongue and harami (skirt steak). They set up a charcoal grill on the table in a ceramic pot-like contraption, with a tube hanging from the ceiling for ventilation, creating a cozy dining experience. The meat and horumon were all fresh and delicious. We don't go to yakiniku restaurants often, so it's hard to describe, but it was really good. I switched to Seoul makgeolli, which was less sweet than I expected. The others switched to highballs. The spiciness and depth of flavor of the changja (pictured) went well with the makgeolli. It ended up being a little over 5,000 yen per person, but considering how tasty it was, we were satisfied with the price. Also, the smiles of the young female staff were lovely.

Tokyo Akihabara. It's been about 4 years since I last visited. We started talking about meat and naturally ended up making a reservation. It was a Friday night, and we started around 9 pm as the first group of customers didn't want to leave. We tried beef tongue and lean meat, which really stimulated our taste buds. The meat was tender and delicious, with a juicy flavor spreading in our mouths. It was amazing. We also tried hormone, which was easy to set on fire. We occasionally had to put it out with ice. Why is raw hormone so tender and tasty? We finished with some curry and rice, which was satisfying! Thank you for the meal.

I was recommended to this yakiniku restaurant by an acquaintance for a casual meal in Akihabara. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is retro and cozy, with all tables equipped with shichirin (charcoal grills). We ordered the following items: Kalbi - 1,200 yen, Hormone assortment - 1,680 yen, Harami - 1,200 yen, Tongue - 1,200 yen, Negi (leek) - 480 yen, Wagyu sirloin yukhoe (raw meat dish) - 780 yen, Burdock kimchi - 480 yen, Wagyu sirloin 10-second grill - 980 yen. Since the menu was extensive, I will highlight a few recommended dishes. First, we tried the classic Kalbi. As the charcoal grill heated up, we cooked the meat to perfection and enjoyed it with the sauce. The juicy flavor of the meat was delightful. Next, we had the Hormone assortment, which included 8 types of offal. The raw hormone was particularly delicious when crispy on the outside and tender inside. Lastly, we tried the Wagyu sirloin 10-second grill, where we cooked the meat for 10 seconds on one side and dipped it in egg yolk. The combination of the meat juices and egg yolk was heavenly. Overall, the restaurant offered a variety of high-quality dishes that paired well with drinks like Hoppy, including red Hoppy for fans. We left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied.

Location: Exit the Akihabara Station of JR at the Showa-dori exit, cross Showa-dori, and head north on the road under the elevated train tracks towards Asakusabashi. The shop will be on your left.
Store and Interior: Upon entering the shop, you will see tables lined up on both sides, with the kitchen in the back. The capacity seems to be around 20 people. Despite being surrounded by izakayas, hostess clubs, and girls bars, this shop is tucked away in a quieter area. They have table grills for you to cook your own meat.
Food: This is a yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant. Akihabara is not known for having many yakiniku restaurants, but this one is quite authentic. Here are the items we ordered:
- Top Tongue - ¥2000: Safe and delicious.
- King Kalbi - ¥1600: Simply delicious.
- Top Harami - ¥1200: Simply delicious.
- Maruchou - ¥680: Simply delicious.
- Lièvre - ¥780: The best of the day. Lièvre is a part of the thymus, a bit spicy. It was the most delicious item we had today, and it offers good value for money.
- Assorted Kimchi and Korean Seaweed: Average. The portions are a bit small for the price, but the taste is authentic.
Drinks: We mainly drank draft beer throughout the meal. The medium-sized glass was ¥480, so we switched to a large one for ¥850.
Service: During our visit, we only saw female staff members. There was one person in the kitchen and one in the hall. As a result, it took a bit of time for the meat to arrive after ordering. The shop has a casual atmosphere, but the taste is truly that of an authentic yakiniku restaurant in Akihabara. However, considering the portion sizes, it may feel a bit pricey. I hope this review helps you in choosing a restaurant.
