I felt like having hot pot after a long time, so I made a reservation at the Haidilao Hot Pot in Akihabara. When I arrived at the restaurant, I noticed that most of the staff and customers were Chinese, and there was a lot of Chinese being spoken. The proportion of Japanese people was overwhelmingly low, making me feel like I was traveling in China. I personally think that this restaurant is one of the top in terms of taste and service among hot pot restaurants. Haidilao Hot Pot has a luxurious interior, and even offers a free nail salon. They had Dyson dryers in the restroom. This time, I reserved the limited-time "Selected Course [Color]" for the New Year's season. The course included a variety of vegetables, enoki mushrooms, tofu, pork shoulder loin, premium beef, seasoned beef, imitation crab meat, squid, sweet potato glass noodles, almond jelly, mala soup, clear soup, course-exclusive all-you-can-drink, and a sauce bar. The all-you-can-drink menu included basic drinks like draft beer, highballs, and sours. (Shaoxing wine and sake were not included). The staff efficiently served the dishes. While the soup was warming up, I went to the sauce bar to create several sauces like sesame oil with garlic, sesame sauce, and others. I tried the soup first, and the clear soup was light, while the mala soup was quite spicy. I used the sauce to alleviate the spiciness. In addition to the above, I also ordered lamb, pork shoulder loin, fried tofu, and a special vegetable platter. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. I planned to finish with the Kung Fu noodles performance, but I was too full to try it. When I left, there were many customers waiting. My experience at Haidilao Hot Pot after a long time was excellent. I want to visit again this season. Yummy!
