I visited "Gonpachi Odaiba" located within a 3-minute walk from Daiba Station in Aqua City Odaiba. This Japanese restaurant is operated by 'Global Dining', which has had a significant impact on the restaurant industry with successful establishments like "Zest", "La Boheme", and "Monsoon Cafe" during the bubble period. About 20 years ago, the affiliated Nishi-Azabu branch was famous for hosting a meeting between former President Obama and former Prime Minister Koizumi. The Odaiba branch takes advantage of its location, offering a sophisticated atmosphere with a view of the canal from the window seats. During my visit, I tried dishes such as the "Gonpachi Salad" for ¥860, "Rich Homemade Tofu" for ¥580, and the "Special Egg Oyakodon" for ¥880. The Oyakodon was particularly impressive with its flavorful egg and sauce, making it a delightful dish. This restaurant seems suitable for various occasions such as dates, business meetings, or dining with children. I look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It had been a while since I visited Gonpachi. Even though Global Dining is known for their customer service, the taste and service were not up to par this time. It was quite disappointing. The prices have clearly been lowered, which may be good news for customers, but it seems like the quality has dropped as a result. With the rising cost of ingredients, it's a challenging situation. I still hope that Global Dining will do their best. I have many memories from my youth there. I will visit again!

I visited for lunch and ordered the tempura soba. The tempura was crispy and fried perfectly, very delicious. The soba noodles were firm and had a good texture. The portion size was generous and I left feeling full. It was not crowded as I went early, so I was able to enjoy my meal leisurely.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I mentioned that I had a reservation under my name, but someone else quickly approached me and it seemed like there was a lack of coordination. The alcohol was served quickly, but the food was slow to come out and the taste was not great. Then they immediately gave us the last call for the all-you-can-drink option. The appetizers like edamame were not significantly different from other places, and if you're going for drinks, it's reasonably priced and decent. When I tried to pay with a card, the guy at the register seemed unsure and made me wait again, highlighting a lack of coordination overall. The guys there had nice smiles and a good atmosphere, so it's a shame that things didn't go smoothly. I had high hopes coming from afar, but it was disappointing.

I have been to Odaiba Gonpachi many times. I was so focused on the taste that I didn't take many photos. The photos I have are of grilled peach, negi gyutan (beef tongue with green onions), grilled ginkgo nuts, Gonpachi salad, and bonito tataki. In addition, we also ordered shishito peppers, grilled eringi mushrooms, deep-fried white shrimp, beef with ponzu sauce, soba noodles, grilled rice balls, miso soup, and more. Each dish is prepared with care, so everything we eat is delicious every time we come. And the service is fast. Despite feeling heavy from eating too much, the satisfaction is unparalleled. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to a soba restaurant that I received before! The view from the shop is very beautiful! Even though it was past 2 pm on Sunday, Odaiba was crowded. The waiting time here was about 10 minutes, and the turnover rate was good. I replenished myself with a soba and tempura set and then enjoyed playing around. 😆✨

I ordered taro potato salad, tuna and avocado yukke, deep-fried white shrimp, shrimp shinjo, and steamed soba noodles. The taro potato salad had a smooth texture compared to regular potatoes, and the crispy fried topping added a nice crunch. It paired well with the wasabi-flavored dressing and was delicious. The shrimp shinjo was a bit difficult to eat but had a crispy and flavorful shrimp filling. The presentation was also unique and enhanced the dish. The soba noodles were delicious, with a good texture and rich flavor. They are a must-try as a closing dish. The only downside was the white shrimp tempura. It lacked a crispy texture, possibly due to the shrimp's moisture or frying temperature. Despite this, the taste was good, so it was a bit disappointing. Overall, the meal was delicious, and the view of the Rainbow Bridge from the window added to the pleasant atmosphere. However, I was a bit disappointed with the wait time. Although there were no customers waiting when I arrived, I had to wait for about 15 minutes before being seated, even though several groups left the restaurant during that time. A simple apology or acknowledgment of the delay at the time of seating would have been appreciated. Despite this, I still think it's a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

I visited on a Saturday night. We had to wait for 4 groups ahead of us, which felt like a long wait, but there were some empty seats inside the restaurant. It seems like they might be short-staffed. You can enjoy a view of the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower from the window. The food was delicious.

The scenery is nice, but the volume of the music (western music) inside the restaurant is very loud, making it necessary to speak in a loud voice to have a conversation. The taste is average. I only had a good impression, so now it's better to consider it as an izakaya for tourists from overseas. I went with some foreigners and they said it was too noisy.

I went to Odaiba to have fun, entered Aqua City randomly, and found a nice atmosphere at Gonpachi, so I went in. It was a Sunday, but it was only around 4 PM, so there were about 4 groups of customers already there. I was guided to a seat in the middle of the restaurant, and the view of the Rainbow Bridge in front of me was amazing. I ordered some drinks, which arrived quickly. Next, I ordered two skewers each of chicken thigh, grilled chicken, and chicken tail, but they took about 20 minutes to come out. Despite there not being many customers, I wondered why it took so long. When I tried the chicken thigh, it had a great charcoal flavor and was very delicious. After ordering items like fried squid and beef tendon with ponzu sauce, I ordered the chicken thigh skewer again because it was so tasty. I also ordered the beef tongue with salt skewer shown in the photo. The beef tongue skewer was tender and delicious when freshly made, but it became slightly tough after some time. Overall, the food was delicious. It seemed like the window seats were reserved, so if I visit again, I might make a reservation to sit by the window.

I used it when I went out with an acquaintance. The interior of the restaurant was nicely unified with a Japanese style. We ordered tempura, silver cod marinated in Kyoto miso, oyakodon, and rolled omelette. Everything was delicious, especially the rolled omelette was very moist and tasty. I was very satisfied, so I want to visit again.

There is a Japanese restaurant in Odaiba. The seats are sunken kotatsu-style, making it easy to see the night view of Rainbow Bridge. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Outside the restaurant, there are many photos of celebrities who have visited over the years, giving a sense of the restaurant's history.

I used this restaurant for a meal with a large group of guests from overseas. While it may be inconveniently located, the view overlooking Tokyo Bay and the Rainbow Bridge makes up for it. Enjoying a meal while looking out at Tokyo's night view is truly wonderful. The food, including sashimi, tempura, and skewers, has a traditional Japanese feel, and the service from the staff is top-notch. This restaurant is a safe bet.

I didn't know that Gonpachi in Nishi-Azabu is also in Odaiba. They offer all-you-can-drink which makes it surprisingly affordable even if you drink a lot, but the taste of the food is just okay. You can see the Rainbow Bridge from the window, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice.

I regularly go to Odaiba to have fun, and personally, the absolute must-visit place in Odaiba is Gonpachi on the 4th floor of Mediage in Aqua City. Whatever you order, it's delicious. I especially love the yakitori and grilled rice balls. Even after eating them many times, I can't help but exclaim how delicious they are! The view of the Rainbow Bridge up close is also charming, and I appreciate the consideration of always trying to keep window seats available for everyone to enjoy. The food comes out quickly, and the service is impeccable. The manager is also very friendly. I will definitely come back many times. By the way, I would like to try the famous Gonpachi in Nishi-Azabu as well. Thank you for the meal!!

The other day, I decided to take my beloved BRZ out for a spin on my day off. I drove alone on the expressway, crossing the Rainbow Bridge to Odaiba. However, Odaiba is quite close to my house, so the drive wasn't very exciting. I drove towards Toyosu from Odaiba, crossing the Tokyo Gate Bridge and circling around the waterfront unnecessarily, before heading back to Odaiba (why?). I decided to have a meal at "Gonpachi Odaiba" located on the 4th floor of Aqua City Odaiba Mediage. It's about a 2-minute walk from Yurikamome Daiba Station and a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Rinkai Line Tokyo Teleport Station. Gonpachi is a well-known Japanese-style izakaya. I don't remember it clearly, but there was a time when former President Bush and former Prime Minister Koizumi had a meeting at Gonpachi in Nishi-Azabu, calling it an izakaya meeting. It is somewhat known to foreigners, with many foreign staff members and English menus available. As I entered the restaurant, I was led to a table with a view of the Rainbow Bridge by a foreign staff member. Looking around, I saw a couple on a date, a group of college students, and a pair of female university students, giving off a vibe of couples and families, probably due to being in Odaiba. I flipped through the menu and decided to order the Seiro Soba for 792 yen and the Specialty Egg Oyakodon for 880 yen. The dishes were served almost simultaneously, maybe they were considerate. The Seiro Soba was better than I expected, with a decent amount and good texture. The Specialty Egg Oyakodon had a generous portion and a rich flavor, though slightly stronger than I prefer, but the runny egg was delicious. The restaurant had a nice view of the Rainbow Bridge directly from the window seats, with a slightly elevated section for better visibility. The service was good, with a mix of foreign and Japanese staff. Overall, the food was decent and the atmosphere was pleasant. If you're looking for a casual dining experience with a nice view, give it a try.

The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes such as soba and yakitori, making it convenient for travelers, foreign visitors, and gatherings. Although everything was delicious, the prices were a bit high, so I found myself hoping to go with someone who would treat me. The presentation of the dishes was also lovely and top-notch!

We moved from Hibiya to Odaiba. It seems like a popular spot where famous foreigners (such as movie actors and actresses) like Koizumi and Bush have visited, as there are photos displayed. It was a great time overlooking Tokyo Tower and Rainbow Bridge. We finished with soba noodles.

Global dining has gained popularity due to the coronavirus pandemic. The restaurant offers a variety of cuisines in a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and good value for money. Located in a corner of Aqua City, the restaurant district has a different vibe from the bright surroundings, creating a nice dining experience. Gonya offers various menu items including tempura, soba, and rice bowls, ensuring both a satisfying meal and drinks. Unfortunately, there are no photos, but thank you for the meal.

Aquacity Odaiba is still a great spot for a date! For our 20th wedding anniversary, we dined at Gyon Hachi in Mediaage, a dining area in Aquacity Odaiba that opened in April 2000. We used to frequent this place before we got married. The restaurant was not too crowded as we arrived early and we were able to reserve a window-side table that we used to love. The view was delightful. Gyon Hachi has traditional Japanese seating, which we appreciated. I had red wine, while my husband had shochu with water. Since we had a big lunch, we weren't too hungry, but we enjoyed the Gyon Hachi salad, edamame, and yakitori. I had chicken skewers, while my husband had various cuts. I had been craving Gyon Hachi soba for a while, and it was perfect for the cold, rainy day. As the evening went on, the restaurant filled up, and it was nice to see other couples on dates. The ambiance of the restaurant was just as nostalgic as we remembered.

The tempura set with soba noodles costs around 1,650 yen and the sauce is sweet, which I like. The soba noodles from Aichi Prefecture might be delicious. I prefer dishes with a stronger dashi flavor. Other people seem to enjoy dishes like yakitori and there are various courses available. I want to try them next time.
