Customs cafeteria. Featured on a morning TV show as a "staff cafeteria" where anyone can enter with the proper procedures. During the late lunch break of government employees on an afternoon off, I followed the procedures as introduced on the show: filled out an entry form, no photography allowed inside, sworn statement not to enter restricted areas, presented ID, received an entry permit, and took the escalator to the second floor. They offered five main dishes, including Chinese noodles and pork cutlet curry, but I opted for the daily vegetable curry for 620 yen, paid with a cashless payment at the ticket machine. The official name is "Tokyo Port Bureau Tokyo Port Bureau Cafeteria," and it operates cafeteria-style. I picked up a tray, salad, miso soup base, and a plate of chicken curry with vegetable toppings. The show mentioned a concept of recreating hotel-quality taste with a mango-infused sweet curry, so I added sauce and shichimi spice at the seasoning corner, added hot water to the miso soup base, and carried my tray to the counter on the port side. There were a few groups of people chatting until the last minute of their break, but with no photography allowed, I just enjoyed the sweet curry quickly. I spent 15 minutes there, then went outside to check my phone and found on Pokémon GO that the cafeteria is known for being open to the public and offering cheap and delicious food. I couldn't keep a detailed record of the meal, so I can't provide more information.

Lunch at the cafeteria on the 2nd floor of the Tokyo Port Authority Building during a business trip. You need to check in at the entrance, but it's open to the public. When I arrived around 12:30, many of the ticket machines had sold out signs. I guess it was crowded earlier in the day? I ordered the special set meal of the day (tempura bowl with vegetable soup) for 820 yen. The tempura bowl had shrimp, smelt, eel, lotus root, pumpkin, eggplant, and green beans, but except for the eggplant, they were pre-fried. Surprisingly, the vegetable soup was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I want to express my gratitude for finding this cafeteria. It is located near the Telecom Center Station, in the customs employee cafeteria. In a town without restaurants, they provide a warm meal. To use the cafeteria, you need to check "meal" on the entry form and fill in your name, phonetic name, phone number, company name, and check two points in the notes section. Show your driver's license or insurance card at the reception. Receive an entry pass, open the gate, and go to the cafeteria on the second floor. I was relieved to see that they accepted cash. I purchased a ticket for the Inaho set meal for 620 yen. Everyone in front of me was lining up at the noodle section. With the set meal, you choose two side dishes and two main dishes right in front. I hesitated about choosing, so I read the instructions at the counter again. I received rice and miso soup, then headed to the condiment counter. I wanted the sauce for the minced cutlet, but it was on the other side of the counter, so I gave up. The other main dish was steamed chicken, and the side dishes were simmered soybeans and hijiki seaweed. The warm rice and miso soup were delicious. The minced cutlet had a homemade feel and was tasty. The two main dishes were quite filling, even one would have been enough. The rice was well-seasoned. They also offer daily rice bowls, curry rice, weekly noodles, set meals for 720 yen, and special set meals for 820 yen. The Happy Set for 410 yen includes one main dish and one side dish for an additional 50 yen. The tray return area is equipped with cups, chopsticks, spoons, and trays on a conveyor belt. The exit is on the opposite side of the entrance, and you can go down to the first floor via an escalator. There is also a shop selling bento boxes, and you can eat in the adjacent space. They have a wide variety of cup ramen available. I will definitely be visiting this cafeteria again.

I finished renewing my license and it was just around lunchtime. I was hesitant because a review said that staff come at 12 o'clock, so it's better to avoid it. It was still 11:45, so I decided to go to the cafeteria. It was empty, so I quickly ate and left. The review mentioned that you need to buy a card, but now you can pay with cash. I bought a meal ticket from the machine and got change. There were three types of set meals available, and I chose the cheapest one, which was the Shirasu (small fish) sticky rice bowl. When I handed in the meal ticket, they asked how much rice I wanted, and I chose the large portion. I received the bowl and soup, then went to a room with tables where I could see the ocean from the window. I enjoyed my meal at the counter. Shirasu sticky rice bowl for 500 yen. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was at Tokyo Customs. I had to show my ID when entering, so I presented my driver's license and was able to enter without any issues. The cafeteria menu wasn't very extensive, but there were plenty of seats and the atmosphere was bright and clean. I had the "Weekly Noodle Special: Cold Tantanmen" which was cold, quite spicy, and delicious. Dining in Odaiba can be expensive, so this was a nice relief.

The daily lunch special (cheese hamburger) next to the Joint Government Building has been replaced by an empty field... It feels like a dream for the soldiers...

Customs is an administrative agency responsible for taxation, customs procedures, and national entry and exit management. Our location, Tokyo Honkan, is the main office in Tokyo, covering the southern Tohoku and Kanto regions outside of Yokohama Customs. Established in Showa 28, it is a relatively new division separated from Yokohama Customs. When visiting, the nearest station is Telecom Center on the Yurikamome Line, close to the Tokyo Bay Coast Police Station. Look for the Tokyo Port Joint Government Building. Upon arrival, fill in the visitor registration form at the entrance and submit it to receive a temporary entry pass. Proceed to the second floor where you'll find the Honkan Cafeteria. The interior is spacious, well-lit, and elegantly designed. Surprisingly, there are limited food options available at the vending machine, mainly consisting of set meals and rice bowls. I ordered the special set meal today, which was fried horse mackerel from Choshi Port in Chiba Prefecture. The service was a bit hectic, possibly due to a recent change in management. The cafeteria, operated by Inaho Co., known for managing cafes at airports, seems to be making efforts to resemble a local diner. Ingredients are sourced from specific regions, and meals are freshly prepared upon ordering. The fried horse mackerel set meal I had was piping hot and crispy, although the sauce was a bit too strong for my taste. Despite some minor drawbacks, the Honkan Cafeteria's unique approach to government dining is worth keeping an eye on.

It is a cafeteria-style where you choose what you want to eat and pay at the end. You need to purchase a card for payment, but any remaining balance will be returned to you. Today's daily special was Milanese-style cutlet, but it turned out to be pork instead of beef as I had hoped. It was quite ordinary, but considering the price, it was a good deal. It may be a typical employee cafeteria, but as "Leek Stir-Fry Set" mentioned, the counter seats by the window seem to have a nice view.

In the midst of the rain, I took the Yurikamome from Shinbashi Station to Telecom Center Station, then walked for about 5.6 minutes to the dark building of the Tokyo Port and Harbor Joint Government Building. Upon entering the building, I filled out a form for dining entry with my name and handed it to the security guard to receive a badge, then took the escalator to the second floor. Inside the staff cafeteria, I first bought a card worth 1,000 yen from the vending machine, then proceeded to the noodle section and ordered the Port Ramen verbally. In about 3 minutes, the Port Ramen was ready, so I then had rice and fried chicken from the set meal section, and continued to the cashier, where I handed in the 1,000 yen card and received a card with the remaining balance. If you insert this card into the vending machine at the entrance of the cafeteria and press the refund button, you will receive your money back. The cafeteria is spacious, and I chose to sit at the counter by the window overlooking Tokyo Bay. The Port Ramen tasted like typical instant noodles with thin noodles in tonkotsu flavor. The fried chicken was cold, so I put it in the ramen, but it was a bit tough, also a common taste. The rice was served in a dish that had already been portioned out from the refrigerator, not scooped from a jar. The taste of the rice was average. Port Ramen 390 yen, Fried Chicken x3 90 yen, Rice 60 yen, Total 540 yen. The cost performance was not bad, but considering the high fare of the Yurikamome, it may be a bit expensive in that sense. It's a place worth considering using when you're in the area.

"The Dining Room" is located on the second floor of the Tokyo Bay Joint Government Building. It is a typical cafeteria that you would find in a university, company, or hospital. The food is average, but the prices are reasonable. The main advantage is the affordability, right? Wrong. This place has a fantastic view! It overlooks the Aomi Minami Wharf Park behind the building, where you can see the sea and container ships, or watch planes taking off and landing at Haneda Airport on your left. On a sunny day, the sunlight reflecting off the water is beautiful. However, since this is a government building, it's best to avoid lunchtime around noon when many government employees come to eat. They sell prepaid cards at vending machines like a typical cafeteria, but they will refund any unused balance to first-time visitors later."
