This time, I visited a hamburger specialty shop that opened in July this year, using 100% domestic A5 and A4 rank beef. The location is a 3-minute walk from Meiji Jingu-mae Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line and Fukutoshin Line, and a 6-minute walk from Harajuku Station on the JR Yamanote Line. The opening hours are from 11:00 to 21:00, but they close when sold out. On weekends, they may close at 17:00. Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I visited alone on Saturday at 4:00 PM. The exterior has a slightly high-end feel. The logo of a tiger on the curtain means "Guardian of Meat." The restaurant was already full, and I was told to come back in 30 minutes. After a brief hesitation, I agreed to return in 30 minutes and purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine. The most popular menu is the "Meat Forest Set" for 1,750 yen, which includes a demi-hamburger, a salt hamburger, and two servings of rice. Not knowing this, I bought the Hamburger Set for 1,650 yen, which includes a demi-hamburger, a salt hamburger, and two servings of rice. There are also other options like stew and a set of two salt hamburgers. I walked around Harajuku and arrived at the restaurant earlier than 30 minutes. There were seats available, and I entered the restaurant. There are only 8 seats at the counter. It is an open kitchen. I was seated in the middle. First, they served a consomme soup, which was delicious. Next, the salt hamburger was served on rice, which looked appetizing and was juicy. The taste was delicious, with the minced meat having a coarse texture and no binders, allowing the sweetness and umami of the meat to stand out. Then, a stew and sesame vinegar dish was served, and the stew was incredibly tasty. Finally, the demi-hamburger was served, which was delicious with an elegant demi-glace sauce. It tasted like stew and went well with rice. The hamburger also paired well with the demi-glace sauce, making the rice more appetizing. I ate it as a hamburger bowl. It was delicious. The rice was also high-quality from Koike Seimai-ten, a 5-star rice master, using a rice called "Sagabiyori." It was a great meal. As I left, I saw a sign saying they were sold out. I recommend visiting early. Next time, I would like to try the aged miso cheese hamburger if I have the chance.

I ordered a set with hamburger steak seasoned with salt, demiglace sauce, and two servings of rice, topped with miso-marinated cheese. Personally, I found the simple combination of salted hamburger steak with table pepper to be delicious. The high-quality taste of the meat really comes through. The demiglace sauce with cheese topping made the flavor quite rich, and it paired well with the rice. Although the set comes with two servings of rice, I didn't ask for a refill this time. The side dishes and soup that came out first were also very tasty. I was prepared to wait in line for lunch, but luckily I was able to get in without any trouble.

I went to Omotesando area for the first time in a while and searched for a lunch spot. I said, "I'll have the hamburger with salt and demi..." and went to try it out. It was a stylish restaurant in a narrow alley, with mostly young people and couples as customers, creating a slightly tense atmosphere. I bought a half-and-half ticket for 1760 yen from the vending machine and sat at the counter. First, Namul-style bean sprouts and simmered sinew meat were served as a small gesture. At the same time, a small cup of beef consomme was served... it was delicious. On top of the rice was a grilled minced meat patty... it was a hamburger bowl. The outside was crispy and the inside was slightly rare... it was a small but meaty plain minced meat patty. It was lightly seasoned, so I sprinkled black pepper and rock salt from the table on top and enjoyed it... quite tasty... but I think it would go better with beer than rice. Next, in an iron dish, there was demi-glace sauce and minced meat patty, with a slightly tangy sauce spread underneath. I crushed the minced meat patty and mixed it with the sauce before taking a bite... it was quite delicious, and of course, it went well with rice. The salad, soup, fried egg topping, and side dishes were all very simple - just minced meat and rice. It was delicious as a minced meat dish, but as a lunch set, it was a surprising combination (Did they forget to serve something?). Thank you for the meal!

A quiet hamburger restaurant in Harajuku. I ordered a simple hamburger with demiglace sauce. I preferred the simple hamburger. The taste and atmosphere were good. However, it might be a bit hot in the summer. The portion size is moderate, so men might find it slightly lacking.

While shopping in front of the shrine, I stopped by a clean and stylish restaurant and purchased a set of two types of hamburgers using the food ticket machine. The first hamburger had a salt flavor and was served on rice. It was not just minced meat, but also had diced rare meat mixed in, providing a different texture and juicy taste. The second dish was a hamburger with demiglace sauce served in a skillet. The flavorful demiglace sauce paired well with the rice. I found a trendy and nice restaurant in Jingumae.

I visited the restaurant after watching Ousama no Brunch two years ago. It had been a while since my last visit. I arrived at 13:25 on a Sunday and there were 10 people in line. I decided to wait in line, hoping that as a solo customer, I might get in sooner (sometimes you get lucky and can go straight in). It seems like now you just have to wait in line normally. After waiting for a while, they asked us to buy meal tickets while waiting in line. When it was my turn, I bought a Meat Forest Set for 1950 yen, and also added a topping of beef tendon bowl for 400 yen, which I hadn't tried last time. The prices seem to have gone up since my last visit. I paid a total of 2350 yen in cash (only cash is accepted), and had to ask for change since I only had a 1000 yen bill. After purchasing the meal ticket, I handed it to the staff and went back to my spot in line. By the time I got back, there were 6 more people in line behind me. There was a sticker of Ariyoshi's Iinioi at the entrance, so maybe he appeared on TV again? Since I was alone, I was hoping to get in earlier as usual, but this time the restaurant was full with no empty seats, so it took about 40 minutes to get in. By the way, there was another solo customer behind me who got seated at the same time as me. As soon as I sat down, I was served tea and a small consomme soup. The salted hamburger (bowl?) arrived first, which was already seasoned and tasted delicious. I ate about half of it as is, then added pepper and rock salt to enhance the flavor. Soon after, the demi-glace hamburger arrived. They were still preparing the beef tendon bowl, so I had to wait a bit. I took a few photos of the demi-glace hamburger, and shortly after, the beef tendon bowl arrived. The beef tendon was so tender and flavorful, and I loved the egg yolk on top, which paired well with the hamburger. The demi-glace hamburger had miso cheese on top, which was also delicious. After finishing my meal, I left and noticed that the line was about the same length as when I arrived. It seems like there's always a constant line at this restaurant.

The hamburger restaurant seemed a bit pricey, but the portions were generous and the taste was really delicious. It's a popular place, so we waited in line for over an hour, but it was definitely worth it! The restaurant has only counter seats, and operates on a ticket system where you buy a ticket and go to the restaurant at a designated time.

You can enjoy delicious hamburgers here! The price is a bit high, so it's a luxurious option for lunch! You can change your second bowl of rice to meat rice for 400 yen! It's recommended to eat it with soy sauce! The hamburgers are delicious! Highly recommended!!

I visited Niku no Mori, a restaurant I had been wanting to try for a while for lunch. Their specialty is a plate of rice topped with a hamburger patty, as shown in the photo. I was able to try two different freshly grilled hamburgers at once, and both were delicious. While the price is a bit high for lunch, it was worth it and I highly recommend visiting this place!

Hamburger set at Niku no Mori for 1950 yen (cash payment) - Salt x 1 - Demi + Aged Grilled Cheese x 1 - Rice (free refill once) - Homemade Consomme Soup - 2 types of side dishes. The location is on the right side after passing through Takeshita Street. Purchase is done with a food ticket. They only accept 1000 yen bills, so you need to get change. The menu seems to have a lot of options, but you can think of it as two hamburgers on top of rice with small side dishes. The consomme soup that comes first is small but comforting. The side dish meats are delicious. The rice is made with the highest quality "Sagabiyori" selected by a 5-star rice master, showing attention to detail. Each item is served individually, and the meat is juicy with an interesting texture. The aged grilled miso cheese was also very delicious!

This was my first time at a hamburger specialty shop, and I was brought here by a friend. I ordered the most standard hamburger set. I got to try a salted hamburger and a demi-glace sauce hamburger, both with rare insides. It was my first time having such a delicious hamburger. When I took a bite, delicious meat juices oozed out.

There is a hamburger restaurant in Harajuku! The tiger mark is impressive, isn't it? I ordered a hamburger set (2 pieces), wagyu beef tendon bowl, and added a raw egg. First, I had the hamburger on rice with the raw egg. The hamburger without any fillers was meaty and juicy, and the freshly cooked rice was perfect. Then, I enjoyed the wagyu beef tendon bowl with four tender beef tendons, raw egg, and green onions. It was really delicious! With the second hamburger, I couldn't stop eating the rice. Although the prices are a bit high, freshly grilled hamburgers always bring high satisfaction! Thank you for the meal!

The hamburger restaurant near Meiji Jingu Shrine is crowded on weekends, but I was able to go for lunch on weekdays. It was delicious! It was much better than the nearby restaurant Kaya. They cook the hamburgers right in front of you, so be careful as the smell may stick to your clothes!

I revisited this place on Christmas day, one month after my first visit. I arrived at 10:40 before the opening time and there were already 5 people in line. However, I was able to enter with the first group and went inside as soon as they opened. Here, you purchase a ticket from a vending machine before being seated. Today, I bought a ticket for a set meal of salt and demi-glace hamburg steak, beef tendon rice bowl, and half beef stew. Since I really enjoyed the demi-glace sauce on the hamburg steak last time, I wanted to try it again this time. That's why I also chose the beef stew from the additional menu. The hamburg steak was delicious, but the beef stew was a bit too strong in flavor. It was just right for the sauce on the hamburg steak, but I wished the stew had a bit more broth flavor. It's a happy thing to be able to eat delicious food on Christmas day.

Meiji-Jingumae Station is a 3-minute walk away, Harajuku Station is a 5-minute walk away, and when you enter a quiet alley after passing through Takeshita Street, you will find the impressive shop "Niku no Mori" with a tiger noren. This shop, opened in July 2021, is a new concept created by RAINBOW PANCAKE, which gained popularity during the pancake boom in 2008. The shop is run by a chef with 58 years of experience, offering hamburgers made with 100% domestic beef as the main ingredient, using Japanese beef. The rice is cooked in a pot using "Sagabiyori" sourced from Koike Seimai-ten in Harajuku. The shop's original method condenses the umami and sweetness. The demi-glace sauce, made from beef bones over about a week, is a point of pride. All the consommé soup and side dishes are handmade. The shop's name, "Niku no Mori," was named to express the "meatiness" of the hamburgers. A must-visit place. I have been noticing an increase in the number of hamburger restaurants that use the "ground meat and rice" concept in their marketing, and finally had the chance to visit one in the area between Harajuku and Omotesando, where I had known about it for about 2 and a half years. The area from Harajuku's Takeshita Street towards Omotesando has a younger crowd, mostly in their 20s to 30s, who seem to have set up a barrier that prevents anyone uncool from entering (lol). This restaurant also had a lot of young couples. We ordered one hamburger with salt and one with demi-glace sauce, each, and you can get up to two servings of rice for free. We added a second serving of rice with beef tendon stew on top. The first hamburger was served on rice, with chunks of meat that you can enjoy the texture of. The meat was grilled to perfection, not too rare or overcooked, and had a nice tenderness. The rice was cooked in a traditional pot and was delicious. The second hamburger with demi-glace sauce was a mature and flavorful dish, with a sauce that was not too sweet, salty, or sour, but had a rich umami flavor. It felt like sipping on black coffee. I would love to try their beef stew next time. The second serving of rice with beef tendon stew was also very tasty. I mixed the leftover sauce with rice at the end, and it was delicious. I definitely want to come back to this restaurant.

Unfortunately, I had to go to Shibuya for some errands, so I left a little early to go to a minced meat and rice bowl place, but it was full and I was turned away. It was a rainy Saturday, and I had seen people entering for lunch around 9:20am, so I thought it would be okay. I was wrong. I'm sorry. Not being able to eat there made me crave hamburgers even more, so I went to a nearby hamburger shop. When I arrived at 1:45pm, there were two groups waiting outside. There was no guidance from the staff, and it seemed like there was no reservation system, so I went to the vending machine to purchase a ticket. It seemed that you were supposed to buy a ticket first and then inform the staff of your wait, but there was no guidance and people were waiting in line without knowing, so some were skipped. I was told to come back in 30 minutes, and while wandering around aimlessly, I returned 15 minutes after the designated time and was finally seated. There were 3 people in the kitchen and 2 in the dining area, with 8 counter seats. Did they really need this many staff? The hamburgers were already partially cooked and then reheated on a skillet after being seated. Some raw ones were also left at room temperature. First, consommé was served, which was quite salty with a strong pepper flavor. Then, the salted hamburger was served with the instruction to eat it as it is since it already had seasoning. However, the flavor was weak, and the nutmeg was overpowering and didn't go well with the rice. The rice was too soft and didn't pair well with the hamburger. Only after adding salt and pepper from the table, the rice became edible. I hoped the demi-glace sauce would redeem it. However, it also lacked flavor and thickness, tasting like a reduced consommé. Even after adding the egg yolk that I ordered, it became even thinner, and only after adding soy sauce that came with the egg yolk, I was finally able to finish the rice. The miso-marinated cheese wasn't necessary. Overall, everything felt mismatched and incomplete. I left feeling unsatisfied. I'll have to go back there soon for a rematch.

Hamburger set (salt, demi, 2 bowls of rice) This was a hamburger on rice dish that was popular for a while. The hamburger was quite small. It was cooked rare without any fillers, and the rough cut made it difficult to taste the juiciness and flavor typical of hamburgers. It wasn't to my liking. Even though it was a hamburger dish, I didn't feel like eating the rice and didn't ask for seconds. The rice itself was delicious. I realized that I prefer classic hamburgers.

"Hamburg specialty store in Harajuku 'Niku no Mori' I purchased the Niku no Mori set for 1850 yen plus an egg for 100 yen at the food ticket machine. First, the one bite consommé soup before the meal was delicious. The first hamburger was a salt hamburger. It is a hand-cut hamburger made from 100% domestically produced A4A5 rank beef without any fillers, very meaty and juicy. It is rare and has a great taste of beef. The second one is a demi-glace hamburger with aged seared miso cheese topping. The miso mixed with cheese and aged for 10 days is original and goes well with rice. Bean sprouts and pickles are also provided. ◆A few years ago, there was a sudden increase in hamburger steak bowl restaurants, turning them into outstanding dishes. Due to this trend, I had never visited this particular restaurant, thinking that maybe it focused more on appearance. However, on a rainy day in Harajuku, I happened to remember it and decided to give it a try. Inside the restaurant, you purchase your meal through a ticket machine. The most popular item, labeled as "Salt Hamburger Steak and Demi-Glace Hamburger Steak topped with aged miso cheese," was priced at 1850 yen. Despite the high price, I decided to order it since I was already there. Two hamburger steaks were served, with the first one being simple and the second one allowing for flavor variations with sauces. The first hamburger steak was served on a bed of rice, seasoned simply with a touch of salt. You could add Himalayan rock salt and black pepper to your liking. The hand-cut, coarsely ground texture was enjoyable, and the rawness of the meat's umami flavor and the chewy texture were straightforwardly delicious. The second hamburger steak was served separately in a small frying pan, topped with aged miso cheese and soaked in demi-glace sauce. The aged miso cheese did not melt completely on top of the hamburger steak, offering a subtle miso flavor and the mildness of the cheese. The demi-glace sauce was rich and lightly seasoned, with a clean aftertaste, reminiscent of the flavors you would find in a proper Western-style restaurant. The combination of the second hamburger steak with the demi-glace sauce was surprisingly impressive, despite the cheese topping (which I personally felt was unnecessary). It followed a pattern commonly seen in similar restaurants - starting simple and light in the beginning, then gradually intensifying the flavors towards the end. Overall, it was a skillfully executed concept. ◆Menu Consomme soup Salt Hamburger Steak with bean sprouts and pickled vegetables Hamburger Steak with Demi-Glace Sauce topped with aged miso cheese (lunch) 1850 yen per person ◆How to enjoy this restaurant <Profile> A specialty restaurant for hamburger steaks and beef stew. For lunch on August 11th, I went to Niku no Mori in Harajuku. There were a few people waiting around the restaurant, but I went in and purchased a meal ticket. The staff told me to come back in 15 minutes for a seat, so I went to kill time and returned to wait in front of the restaurant. When I came back, I was seated at the counter. I ordered the most popular dish, the Hamburg Set "Niku no Mori" for 1,850 yen, and added a raw egg for 100 yen. I watched as they made the hamburg in front of me and eagerly waited. First, a cold homemade consommé soup was served, followed by a generous portion of rice cooked in a hearth. The first hamburg arrived, made with hand-cut A4 and A5 grade wagyu and domestic beef, without any fillers, making it juicy and flavorful. The hamburg was placed on top of the rice, creating a beautiful presentation. Adding the raw egg yolk on top made it even more delicious. The combination of the hamburg and rice was perfect, especially when mixed with the egg yolk. Side dishes included bean sprout namul and beef simmered in soy sauce, which paired well with the rice. The preparation for the next hamburg began, this time with demi-glace sauce and aged miso cheese topping. The rich demi-glace sauce complemented the flavorful hamburg, and the aged miso cheese topping added even more deliciousness. I had a second helping of rice for free and made sure to enjoy it with the hamburg. There was even a spoon provided to ensure I could savor every last drop of the sauce.
