I visited this pancake restaurant in Ikebukuro because the movie I wanted to see was only playing there and my companion was in the mood for pancakes. This place is known for its original fluffy pancakes with a main store in Harajuku. It was my first time visiting a pancake restaurant in a while. We went on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds as some reviews mentioned long lines. Luckily, we were the only customers when we arrived. My companion wanted the Macadamia Nut Sauce pancakes, so we ordered that along with the Mixed Fruit pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy, not as fluffy as some other famous ones, but still good. The Macadamia Nut Sauce was rich and delicious, and the Mixed Fruit pancakes had a nice balance of fruit, cream, and meringue. Overall, it was enjoyable, but it didn't quite have the same impact as when I first tried another famous pancake.

I waited outside the store for about 5 minutes, but during that time the staff came to take orders, so it seemed to be running smoothly! The staff were very friendly, probably because it's a popular store! I ordered the most popular Macadamia Nut Sauce (tax included 1350 yen)! It was ready in about 5 minutes after entering the store! I didn't have to wait long! The fluffy dough and white sauce went well together and were very delicious! The nut flavor also added a nice touch, and I understood why it's the most popular!

From the Carbo incident at Labett Ladai Ochiai, we moved sideways to have dessert, which was shaved ice. This is "Rainbow Pancake Seibu Ikebukuro Store", a famous shop in Harajuku that also has a branch here. There was no waiting time. We were guided to our seats by a lovely smiling young man. The seating area had around 8 seats, and it was a pretty ordinary cafe with minimal decorations. I asked at the entrance if they still had shaved ice (which was limited in quantity) and they said yes. I ordered the shaved ice with honey-soaked peaches, honey lemon squash, and black sesame kinako banana shake. It took about 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive, probably because the kitchen was short-staffed. The honey-soaked lemon with a rich honey taste and fizzy lemon combination was delicious. The cranberries were unnecessary. The black sesame kinako was a typical choice for girls, but I'm not a fan of kinako so I only took a bite. The shaved ice finally arrived after another 17 minutes. After sitting in the cold air-conditioned space and drinking cold beverages, I had lost the motivation to eat shaved ice. And it took over 30 minutes from sitting down to the shaved ice arriving. Moreover, the shaved ice I received was different from the photo, with the peach whipped cream dripping. It was disappointing as the appearance of the dessert is key. Eating shaved ice in such circumstances naturally resulted in a mediocre taste. Thank you for the meal.

They also provide menus and take orders in advance, so the waiting time after ordering pancakes is relatively short (depending on timing). I chose the Macadamia Nut, which is the most popular, while my husband chose the Baked Apple and Caramel. The nut sauce was incredibly rich! It felt like I was drinking nuts! Haha. We tried to eat the biscuit shaped like a knife and fork that came with it, but it was impossible haha. Instead, I recommend scooping up the sauce with it and nibbling on it. The Baked Apple and Caramel had a bit of an unnecessary feeling with the ice cream, but it was still delicious. Not too sweet, and the caramel matched the dough perfectly! The pancake dough was pleasantly soft, not too firm – it was perfect! Both of us were praising it. I just want to eat this dough alone... They also had meal-type pancakes, so I thought it might be worth trying that next time.

I tried the ⭐️New Year Snow Rabbit Pancake for 1,500 yen. It consists of two pancakes topped with a mildly sweet white chocolate whipped cream sauce. Matcha cream is sandwiched between the pancakes. The red eyes are made of pink peppercorns. When eaten with the cream, it has a sweet and tangy taste. On the side, they included strawberry mochi with white bean paste, kinako ice cream, and chestnut sweet potatoes to evoke the traditional New Year's dishes. They also provided strawberry sauce for flavor variation. I tried to draw the rabbit's cheeks with the sauce. ⭐️Rainbow Soda Blue Hawaii for 700 yen, or 500 yen if ordered as a set with pancakes. As a lover of cute things, I was very satisfied with the adorable bunny pancakes.

I had once tried the classic pancakes at the Harajuku store and they were delicious, so I remember them well. I had been curious about the Ikebukuro store for a long time, so it was a perfect opportunity. Of course, I was aiming for the New Year's limited edition Snow Rabbit Pancakes. I also ordered tea as a set drink. The snow rabbit is too cute!! The pancakes are topped with white chocolate whipped cream sauce, with hojicha cream sandwiched between the two layers of pancakes. In the front, there are New Year's red and white rice cakes, kinako ice cream, and chestnut paste, reminiscent of Osechi. There is also strawberry sauce, so when you pour it on the snow rabbit's cheek, it turns red and becomes even cuter! I enjoyed the appearance thoroughly before eating. The white chocolate whipped cream sauce is not too sweet and very delicious! The ears are meringue, so they are crispy. The fluffy pancakes themselves are delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. I finished it in no time! I remember that when the Harajuku store opened, there was a long line, so it's great that you can easily enjoy such delicious pancakes in Ikebukuro! Very satisfied! Thank you for the meal!

The fluffy pancakes are filled with plenty of white chocolate cream and hojicha cream in between. The rabbit ears are made of meringue cookies, and served with kinako ice cream and chestnut sweet potato. This was delicious!

Happy New Year. I visited three shrines for stamps this morning and then went to the restaurant "Rainbow Pancake" on the 8th floor of Seibu Ikebukuro, which opened at 10:30. The special New Year's pancake set includes a Snow Rabbit Pancake, Rainbow Soda Strawberry, and a pancake set for a total of 2150 yen. The Snow Rabbit Pancake was served with white chocolate whipped cream sauce, meringue ears, hojicha cream between the layers, and pink pepper eyes. It also came with sides like fresh strawberries, mochi with white bean paste, kinako ice cream, and chestnut paste. It was a delicious and unique pancake experience. The Snow Rabbit Pancake is available until January 15th at Seibu Ikebukuro and the Harajuku main store from January 5th to 15th.

It took about 45 minutes to get seated. I ordered the "New Year Snow Rabbit Pancake" for 1650 yen (including 10% tax) and a "Cafe Latte" for 500 yen (including 10% tax as a set). First, the Cafe Latte arrived. They kindly said that the pancakes would be coming soon. Here it is! A rabbit! The way the cream is placed makes it look like a rabbit with a slightly long chin, but it's cute. I enjoyed the berry sauce, chestnut paste, ice cream, and other toppings alternately!

It came with honey sauce, whipped cream, two types of cookies, and strawberry mascarpone cheese ice cream, making it not only visually appealing but also luxurious. It was delicious and easy to eat, but the cost performance might not be the best. However, if you like fluffy pancakes, it's worth trying at least once. I visited Rainbow Pancake in Seibu Ikebukuro after about a year. It was a weekday afternoon and I thought it would be crowded because of the Halloween limited edition pancakes, but there was no wait and we were seated right away. Looking at the menu, the baked apple and caramel pancakes looked delicious so we decided to share them. The apple and caramel weren't too sweet, unlike the Halloween limited edition pancakes which seemed sweeter. The cream was just right in sweetness and the portion was generous but not overwhelming, so we finished it in no time! It was delicious as always. Thank you for the meal!

Located on the 8th floor of Seibu Ikebukuro, this was my first visit to @rainbowpancake! They also have a main store in Harajuku. I tried the Happy Happy Halloween Pancake for 1650 yen. The pancakes were perfectly cooked and fluffy. The toppings included pumpkin sauce, pumpkin mousse, caramel pumpkin spread, purple sweet potato whipped cream, black sesame ice cream, black honey, cocoa cookies, meringue, and grape jelly. The cute ghost-shaped baked meringue added to the Halloween theme and was very adorable! Since it was close to closing time, I had the place all to myself.
