Meat Ooyama had only used it for standing and drinking outside, but on this day it was empty so we decided to eat in. My daughter, who was full, had the chef's minced cutlet. My wife had the minced cutlet and croquette set meal. I had the fried food platter. When I tried to order a separate drink for my daughter from the lunch drink bar for two people, the staff suggested that I give the lunch drink bar to my daughter, and I ended up ordering a beer for myself. In the end, it turned out fine. The lunch was a generous plate of meaty hamburgers, curry croquettes, bacon fries, and shumai. The beer and rice went well with everything. I also got to try a bit of the chef's minced cutlet. It was a lavish lunch and very affordable. This restaurant is really great. The best part is still enjoying minced cutlet and beer alone while standing, though.

It's been a while since I came here! I love eating outside in the scorching heat of summer, sweating and all. I had a cold highball with a minced cutlet and two croquettes. It was my first time having two croquettes with a highball, and I ended up drinking four highballs to finish them all. This time, I went for highballs instead of beer, and the special minced cutlet was delicious. You can add mustard and other condiments to your liking. They also offer takeout, and I saw many people getting their food to go. It's a good option for when you crave fried food! Next time, I want to try the fried horse mackerel. Thank you for the meal!

Before going to the National Museum, we decided to grab a bite to eat. We arrived around 12 o'clock and were seated right away. We ordered the chicken steak for 880 yen and the minced cutlet. The food was served quickly and was quite filling. The taste was also good, so we left satisfied.

Today, I went drinking in Ameyoko from noon. Since it was a holiday, everywhere was crowded! First, I stopped by Ooyama for a quick standing drink! The menchi katsu and beer were amazing! We ended up visiting 7 places for day drinking in Ameyoko, and it was a great start! I still want to try ham katsu and other things, so I will definitely visit again!

Menkoro set meal for 730 yen. The croquette has a deep fried color. The croquette has smaller breadcrumbs than the minced meat. The potato is more sticky than fluffy. Happy Hour at 4 o'clock, I ordered a large decanter of white wine and sat on a high chair that was leaning and almost slipping off, but that added to the charm haha. It was fun drinking in this kind of atmosphere. I tried ordering steak since it was cheap, and it turned out to be just as expected. I was very satisfied with the oyster fry, croquettes, and skewers. Everything was really cheap.

"Menchi & Croquette set meal" for 730 yen. The cutlet is crispy! The meat in the menchi cutlet is pink in color, showing the freshness of the meat shop. It comes with rice and miso soup. They also offer a croquette-only set meal, but since it's a meat shop, the meat is delicious. It seems that you can only order a la carte menu items after lunchtime. It was filling and delicious!

I visited during lunchtime. The interior of the restaurant feels quite narrow and the cleanliness is at a standing bar level. The lunch menu is all priced at 1000 yen, and you can also have a steak for 1000 yen and eat until you're full. It's a great place for those who want to eat meat cheaply!

I always forget to take photos here, even though it's my umpteenth time. I haven't eaten anything since morning, so I'm really hungry, but I'm going to eat meat from 5:30 PM, so I'll just have a Wiener fry to hold me over. The Wiener fry is only 70 yen, but it's so satisfying and delicious that I end up just eating that. I managed to get a drink for only 150 yen during a happy hour deal, which was a pleasant surprise! Can I really be this happy for only 220 yen? I feel like I might get struck by lightning or something. However, it's really hot outside, as expected, so I don't linger for long and just have one drink before heading home. The rule here seems to be to throw away trash in the trash bin, return the glass to the showcase area, and then leave.

A shop in Ueno that feels like a butcher's cafeteria. The cost performance is amazing! Croquettes and such are less than 100 yen including tax... Cheaper than convenience stores. The 150g Meat Mountain Steak is 880 yen. It's true that the steak is thinly sliced, but it's definitely a steak. Well, I didn't have high expectations for it to be delicious because it's so cheap, but just like how the fried food at local butcher shops is delicious, this was delicious too!

I had the daily special chicken grill with yuzu pepper sauce. I was worried about the sauce being too strong, but the staff suggested having it on the side. Thanks to that, I could enjoy it by dipping a little bit at a time. The chicken was juicy and the smoked sausage had a nice flavor. It came with a cup of pork miso soup, which was delicious with a rich broth. The portion of rice was quite large, so I recommend getting a smaller portion for women. I felt bad leaving about a third of it uneaten. There was a drink bar in the middle of the restaurant where you could help yourself if you ordered lunch. They had interesting options like acerola drink and dakara, along with tea, coffee, and hot tea. My friend had the croquette and minced meat set, and they really enjoyed the croquette. I might try it for takeout next time because it looked good. The staff were attentive and even helped me find the cashier when I got lost. The cashier was right next to the entrance (lol). They don't have a bell to call the staff, so it might be a bit challenging to get their attention when ordering. Smoking is allowed at night, but it's non-smoking during lunch, which I appreciated. I don't usually go to Ueno area, but I would like to visit this restaurant again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

At 3pm in Nogami City, after finishing work without lunch, I decided to have a green highball as a tea substitute. I visited the Hamukatsu department's holy land, which I had been distant from for a while. One of the three major holy lands, Takioke, and Kadokura, had a decent number of customers. The Daishu President was almost full. Despite it being a weekday, there was a sense of liveliness returning, which was great. I ordered a green highball (340 yen), addicting menchi (150 yen), specialty menchi (220 yen), and curry croquette (90 yen) to take home for my evening drink. The specialty menchi was priced at 400 yen, which was reasonable. The slightly crispy green highball paired well with the hot menchi katsu. The lady drinking alone next to me seemed to have injured her hand while eagerly biting into the menchi (lol). Good girls should be careful not to burn their upper jaw while chewing. However, it's interesting, isn't it? There are many young women drinking alone these days. I forgot if it was a service that was available before, but from 1 pm to 3 pm, all alcoholic beverages except for draft beer are half price. It's better than going to a mediocre tea shop.

Everything is affordable! I wanted to try the special minced cutlet and wagyu minced cutlet, but they were already sold out by 8:30 on Saturday. The Oyama steak (photo) for 880 yen is amazing in terms of cost performance. I also ordered the black wagyu diced steak, which was tender and delicious.

I dropped by on a regular weekday just before noon. The steak bowl looked delicious, so I ordered it. It was priced at 1,680 yen including tax, and it came with a mini pork soup and a drink bar, which I thought was a good deal. The meat was tender and very delicious cooked medium rare. I also ordered a croquette as an extra, and it was surprisingly delicious for only 88 yen. I was impressed. I would like to visit again.

Arrived around 12:10 on a holiday. There were 3 groups waiting. They were selling fried food at the storefront. Some people were holding fried food and alcohol in their hands. Fried food was selling one after another. It feels like the start of daytime drinking under the bridge. Very Ueno-like. Got called in quickly. The menu looked junky but delicious. Ordered the ginger pork set meal (with 3 pieces of fried chicken for 750 yen) and chicken cutlet (176 yen). Now, how does it taste? Oh? Ginger pork? It feels like it's stir-fried in BBQ sauce? Tasty but different. But still delicious. Lots of vegetables on top, very filling. However, the rice portion seems small compared to the meat. Or maybe there's just a lot of meat? I'm not sure anymore. The fried chicken is well marinated in a salty sauce. The chicken cutlet is simply delicious. Goes well with the special medium-thick sauce provided. The size is just right and definitely goes well with alcohol. One thing they have in common is that the meat is delicious. Other dishes are not to be underestimated. And the best part, all the menu items come with a drink bar. Surprisingly nice. After finishing the meal and leaving the restaurant, there were 5 groups waiting. Ueno is a fierce battleground with many different restaurants. This restaurant, without any aggressive marketing, was already full. Next time, I'll try the Oyama steak set meal for 990 yen. Delicious and cheap! Best cost performance! I went for lunch early. The daily special lunch was only ¥500! Today's special was tonkatsu. Rice is also available in large portions for free, and the drink bar is included at this price. The best time to go is around 11:30 before it gets crowded.

Between Okachimachi and Ueno Station, there is a lively drinking area. On this day, I visited Niku no Oyama. I had some chicken thigh skewers (260 yen), chicken skin skewers (260 yen), and addictive menchi katsu (330 yen for 2 pieces). I enjoyed them with a highball (330 yen). It's a great place with excellent value for money. The special menchi was sold out, so I tried the addictive one, which was overflowing with meat juice and delicious. There were even women dining alone, enjoying a steak plate with rice. It seems like a good place for everyday dining. I was very satisfied.

I returned to Ueno Station and headed towards Ameyoko. It was ridiculously crowded. My wife saw Daizawa on a TV show and wanted to go, so here we are. It's been years since I last visited. I think I used to only go to Takio's around here. Menchi-katsu and draft beer. Hmm, the menchi-katsu is so meaty. It goes well with the sauce and makes the alcohol go down smoothly. Let's come back to Ameyoko for a leisurely drink sometime. Thank you for the meal.
