I noticed that Tanaka Shoten, which seems to have opened multiple stores, has a concept brand called "Tanaka Soba Store" offering Kitakata Ramen and Yamagata Spicy Miso Ramen. When I searched for new stores with high ratings, this one came up on top with 355 reviews in just two weeks?! I was surprised by the magic behind this, but upon closer inspection, I found older reviews as well. It seems that the restaurant name and menu have changed, with only the opening date being renewed, while the reviews and ratings were carried over. Oh well, it seems like this kind of thing happens. Let's go and check it out. I made my first visit to the area called "Odaiba" and discovered this place inside the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, a building filled with Doraemon-themed attractions. Surprisingly, there were no other customers. ◎Yamagata Spicy Miso Ramen ¥1000 A miso ramen with a spicy miso ball as a topping. The soup is a sweet and gentle white miso with a flavorful seafood and seaweed aroma. The noodles are about 1.5x3mm in size with a slightly curly and straight texture, reminiscent of hand-made noodles from the Kitakata region. The toppings include spicy miso, chashu pork, dark menma, finely chopped seaweed or powder, and green onions. The sweetness of the soup bothered me, so I quickly dissolved the spicy miso ball. The addition of spicy and garlicky punch was surprisingly perfect. The transformation was so vivid and amazing, it matched perfectly. This sudden change is on par with the moment when you dissolve an egg in Tokushima ramen. It was delicious. The quality of this food court is impressive. I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

It's a Thursday with occasional light rain from the cloudy sky. I finished work early to visit Zepp DiverCity to see Orianthi's concert. Before the live show, I stopped by this restaurant located in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, just like the concert venue, and it's a sister store of the famous Hakata ramen shop, Tanaka Shoten. I ordered the "Chuka Soba" for 850 yen, which is based on Kitakata ramen. The soup is a light pork bone-based flavor, seasoned with salt sauce. It has a rich umami taste and is easy to drink without getting tired of it. The flat twisted noodles go well with the soup, providing a chewy texture and good combination. The pork belly chashu with just the right amount of fat, and simple toppings like menma, all contributed to making it a delicious bowl of ramen. Additionally, by adding a small amount of the provided red pepper (which significantly affects the taste), you can enjoy a different flavor profile. The food court in this popular facility was quite lively even during a weekday at odd hours, with many people enjoying their meals. I plan to visit this live house again in the future, so I might have the opportunity to enjoy this delicious Chuka Soba once more. Thank you for the tasty meal.

I went to Tanaka Soba for the first time. It used to be a Kyushu ramen shop, but now it's Tanaka Soba, and let me tell you, it's delicious!! I became a fan right away. I had some business to attend to and decided to visit Odaiba after a long time. I went to the food court in DiverCity around 12 pm on Saturday to quickly grab a meal. The first thing I noticed was the high number of foreign tourists due to the increasing inbound demand, making it difficult to secure a seat in the food court. Despite using a cup of water and my bag to save a seat, some foreign tourists tried to move them and sit there. I couldn't understand... I managed to protect my seat and ordered a ramen with flavored egg at Tanaka Soba. The taste was good, but eating in a crowded food court may have reduced the deliciousness. Thank you for the meal.

Spicy Miso Ramen for 1000 yen. When I came here before, it used to be a rich tonkotsu broth, but it seems they changed to Kitakata ramen from Nagahama style last year. I was expecting that thick, creamy texture, so I was slightly disappointed. However, if you can eat this in the food court, it's still satisfying. It's not light at all, with visible pork fat floating on top. The spicy miso flavor is surprisingly strong, so it's better to mix it gradually instead of all at once. You can also ask for it to be cooked firm, especially when it's busy or if your seat is far away. There are garlic and chili pepper toppings at the pick-up counter, and there's a small plate for you to take them to your table, so it's okay to bring it for the spicy miso. Payment is Diversity compliant.

I chose the Chinese noodles this time after trying the "Hiyashi-kake" at the Akihabara store before. The warm Chinese noodles were much more delicious than the cold one! Getting the large portion was the right choice! I was also intrigued by the mentaiko rice, but this time I chose the special meat rice! The flavor of the chashu soaked into the rice, making it very appetizing! Honestly, I think this dish can stand as the main star without losing to the Chinese noodles. Since it's a food court, you can't enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant, but it was a good ramen. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Odaiba for the first time in a while and had lunch at this restaurant. I remembered it as a tonkotsu ramen shop, but maybe the style has changed? I had the negi ramen with a seasoned soft-boiled egg topping, and Korean-style spicy cod roe rice. The negi seemed to be seasoned too, so I found the saltiness to be a bit strong. If I have the chance to eat here again, I think I'll go for a simple ramen next time. Thank you for the meal.

Before the live show, I had some Chinese ramen. The noodles were smooth and the clear soup was light and delicious. The char siu pork was thick and there were three slices. It was satisfying to eat. There was plenty of green onions and bamboo shoots, which was great. I added some spicy condiments from the counter, which gave it a nice kick. It was delicious.

Chuka soba with green onions, rich and flavorful, for 1000 yen. You can enjoy the taste of Adachi Honten at Diversity Food Court. The noodles were slightly soft, but the soup and ingredients were well done, making it a satisfying ramen experience like at a good ramen shop. The management seems reliable, so there are probably not many complaints.

On Sunday, I had some errands in Odaiba and parked my car at the parking lot of DiverCity. I decided to have lunch there and headed to the 2nd floor food court called "Tokyo Gourmet Stadium" around 11:20 am. It was already crowded, and most seats were taken. After about 10 minutes of searching, I finally secured a seat. I ordered "Chinese noodles" for 850 yen and "special meat rice" for 250 yen. I asked for the noodles to be "thick and rich". I paid with PayPay and waited for my order to be ready with a buzzer at the table. It only took about 5 minutes before I was called to pick up my food. I added grated garlic and black pepper before bringing it to my seat. The noodles were smooth and had a good texture. Despite ordering it "thick and rich", the soup wasn't too heavy. The saltiness was well balanced. The sliced green onions were quite thick, almost like eating them as is. The two slices of chashu were flavorful, tender, and delicious. They had just the right amount of fat. The "special meat rice" had a slightly sweet flavor which was enjoyable. It had large chunks of chashu which added to the taste. It was a delicious meal. The food court on the 2nd floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, located an 8-minute walk from Tokyo Teleport on the Rinkai Line and a 5-minute walk from Yurikamome Daiba Station, has around 15 shops. One popular spot is Tanaka Shoten, known for its delicious Hakata Nagahama ramen. Inside the food court, there is a specialty shop called "Chuka Soba Senmon Tanaka Soba-ten." During lunchtime, I visited and ordered the Chuka Soba for 850 yen and the mentaiko rice for 300 yen. It was a bit before 3 pm, and there were many inbound customers returning. You order at the counter, pay in advance, receive a buzzer, and then wait at your table. Tanaka Shoten specializes in Hakata pork shoulder, but Tanaka Soba-ten serves a ramen based on Kitakata ramen, aiming for a "casual ramen" experience. The bowl is small, filled with plenty of soup and flat curly noodles. The light soup and chewy flat noodles were delicious. The mentaiko rice was a bit disappointing as it was slightly cold. I wished for hot rice with mentaiko. The food court offers a variety of affordable and abundant food choices, making it an attractive place to dine. I enjoyed my meal.

I used the food court for lunch on Saturday. It wasn't too crowded, probably because spring break was ending, so I was able to order quickly. I ordered the Chinese noodles with flavored egg (980 yen). It took less than 5 minutes for my buzzer to ring and my order was ready. The soup was clear with a bit of oil on top, but not too heavy, and had a slightly salty and refreshing taste. The noodles were thick and flat, very smooth and delicious. The pork slices were just right with a good balance of red meat and fat, and very tender. The flavored egg was perfectly soft-boiled. The only downside was that the green onions were cut too roughly and stood out too much, but other than that, it was a perfect bowl of ramen to my liking. It's great to be able to enjoy delicious ramen at a food court. Thank you for the meal.

Tanaka Shoten's tonkotsu ramen has been replaced by a Chinese soba shop. The taste egg Chinese soba is priced at ¥980. The tonkotsu base seems to remain the same, but the soup is clear with a salt sauce. The noodles are thick and curly. The dish comes with three slices of chashu, menma, and green onions. It was just a regular Chinese soba.

Three of us drove to Diversity because it was cold. It was cold, so we decided to try a ramen shop for the first time. We ordered the classic Yamagata ramen. The soup was gentle, and the noodles were smooth and delicious. After eating about half of the spicy red pepper, we added it to change the flavor, and it was still delicious. The meat fried rice-like dish had a nice peppery flavor and was also delicious.

It was a light and classic Chinese ramen. The restaurant, with the highest ratings in Odaiba DiverCity, was very busy even during a late lunch on a weekday. I ordered the simple Chinese ramen. Although it was mentioned that you could order it with a stronger flavor, I wasn't asked, so I ordered it normally. It took some time, but when the dish arrived, I enjoyed it at the table. Priced at 980 yen, it had a good amount of noodles, egg, and chashu, making it a good deal for this location. The soup had a very light taste that would appeal to everyone. The straight noodles were easy to eat, and the chashu was quite tasty. Next time, I want to try it with a stronger flavor.

The quality is not like a food court [Tabelog 3.63] As of January 9, 2023, this place located on the 2nd floor of DiverCity in Odaiba is a monster store that boasts over 3.6 on Tabelog, despite being in a food court!! Today, I ordered the Chinese soba, and the clear and beautiful soup was light yet flavorful, and paired perfectly with the flat noodles, making it incredibly delicious. The char siu, priced at 850 yen (tax included) per bowl, came with three thick slices, giving a satisfying feeling. In the past, the president of the Yoshimura family, a famous ramen chain, said in an interview that ramen is meant to be eaten with oil. When I visited the original store in a remote area of Adachi Ward, it was known for having a layer of oil on the surface of the soup. However, it seems that the amount of oil has decreased significantly now.

I ordered the Yamagata something. It had a unique flavor with spicy miso and green seaweed. The spicy miso was very hot, and I ended up sweating a lot. Today's holiday lunch was at the ramen specialty chain "Tanaka Soba-ten," which pays homage to Kitakata ramen, at the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza store. The ramen served is inspired by Kitakata ramen, with a salt-based sauce. The combination of flat curly noodles, pork bone clear broth, and salt sauce is excellent. This time, I ordered the meat soba with extra noodles. After placing my order, I received a buzzer and took a seat at an available table. The buzzer rang 6 minutes after I sat down. The ramen I received was spectacular, with slices of pork covering the noodles. In the middle, there were thin, tan-colored menma bamboo shoots and chopped white and green onions. The simple presentation was appetizing. The taste was consistent as always. The soup at Tanaka Soba-ten tends to be a bit salty, but this one had a milder saltiness compared to other shops. The umami flavor was fully present, and it was delicious. While the prices are a bit high for a Kitakata ramen shop, you can enjoy a consistently high-quality bowl of ramen. The only issue is the crowdedness of the food court. It feels cramped, so you'll need to be patient with that.

I visited the number one ramen shop in the Odaiba area for lunch on a weekday, called "Chuuka Soba Senmonten Tanakaya". The food court in DiverCity was quite crowded even on a weekday! This shop seems to be famous for its Chinese noodles in Tokyo, but as a local from Yokohama, I had never heard of it. I ordered the basic menu item, the large portion of Chinese noodles. When my order was ready, I went to pick it up as the buzzer rang. The appearance was light and refreshing, not as rich as I expected. The soup was gentle and easy to drink, but lacked a bit of punch. The noodles were medium thickness, but I prefer them a bit firmer. The toppings looked nice, but also lacked impact and seemed like they were pre-made. I was able to enjoy the light Chinese noodles, but I think I would have preferred something richer! I would like to try the same dish at a regular restaurant. It may be understandable since it's a food court, but the customer service was a bit poor. The staff, who seemed to be from a foreign country, were quite unfriendly, so I hope they improve on that. I visited this place because it had high ratings. However, to my surprise, the restaurant had changed and was now serving a completely different type of ramen that wasn't even close to Hakata ramen. The noodles were not thin like Hakata ramen, and the quality was poor. The ramen was like something you would get at a highway rest stop, but even those places serve better ramen nowadays. I also ordered mentaiko rice, but the mentaiko was smelly and the rice was soggy and not tasty at all. It was the first time I left mentaiko rice uneaten. This place should have its ratings reset.
