"Located in Akihabara UDX, the Sanuki udon shop "Ibukiya Seimen" is a place I stumbled upon while visiting the neighboring Shogun Burger. Craving delicious Sanuki udon, I decided to pay a visit. I purchased a meal ticket from the ticket vending machine at the entrance. I couldn't find the 'meat bukkake' option anywhere. Feeling a bit lost, I considered getting the warm soup with meat udon instead, until I finally found the bukkake button at the very bottom. However, there was no button for meat udon. It seemed that I had to purchase 'bukkake udon' and 'topping beef' separately. So, I bought 'bukkake 450 yen' and 'topping beef 450 yen' separately. I also added 'extra green onions 60 yen'. The bukkake, beef, and green onions were served on separate plates. This seems to be their style. I topped the udon with beef, green onions, and tempura bits. The Sanuki udon noodles had a good chewiness to them. The beef was sweet and flavorful, just the way I like it. It tasted great slurped together with the noodles. The tempura bits were crispy. I found the amount of green onions to be too much, so I ended up putting all of them on my udon. Perhaps I didn't need the extra green onions after all."

This is Tokyo... it reminded me of the Sanuki udon I had in Shikoku haha. I was surprised by how good it was, with a firm texture just like the real thing, and the broth was delicious with dried baby sardines. The tempura was crispy. The taste was much better than expected for the price. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a bit intimidating. Even though the restaurant's name is Sanuki Udon, the menu is all over the place with no consistency, including a selection of alcoholic drinks. It feels more like an izakaya.

Due to the intense heat, I decided to have lunch nearby at Akihabara UDX. I entered a udon restaurant that I had never been to before. It's good to decide what to eat beforehand because they require payment upfront. I ordered the cold udon with tempura set and sat down. The food was prepared quite quickly, and I thought it might have been pre-made, but the tempura was freshly fried, which was nice. The noodles had a good chewy texture, and the broth matched well. The tempura had a crispy batter, but the inside was well-steamed and tasty. I didn't have high expectations when I entered, but it was not bad at all.

I felt like eating udon, so I was wandering around Akihabara and stumbled upon Ibukiya Seimen. I had been there once before, so I decided to try their plain udon this time. I really love plain udon because you can truly taste the udon itself without any distractions. When the udon arrived, I was surprised to see that the noodles were quite thick and firm. They were chewy and had a nice texture. It was a delicious meal.

I have a fixed image in my mind that the taste and price of restaurants in commercial facilities do not match well, so I tend to avoid having lunch there. However, on this day, I decided to check out a restaurant inside UDX that I had heard of. To my surprise, the prices were very reasonable! They even had a menu focused on volume, like a udon set. I decided to eat there and ordered a shrimp and egg rice set (700 yen). The udon was served warm, and the broth was a bit oily with a light flavor. The udon lacked firmness, but the set was decent for the price. The shrimp and egg rice had a good amount of toppings, and the quality of the shrimp was okay. Overall, it was a satisfying meal considering the price. I was surprised to find such an affordable lunch option inside UDX. I hope they continue to do well. Thank you for the meal.

Around noon on a regular day, I visited this place for the fourth time or so. Surprisingly, the ticket machine that used to be outside was gone, and when I entered, I saw about three people waiting in line inside the store. The staff were manually operating the cash register... It felt like a step back to analog systems. And they even removed some counter seats for this strange setup... I chose the warm egg udon for 530 yen. After being seated as instructed by the staff, I received a simple udon with green onions and a warm egg. This place uses homemade noodles and a dashi broth without any artificial seasonings. The udon was chewy and had a good balance of softness and firmness. The dashi broth made from dried fish from Ibuki Island was slightly sweet and refreshing, making it delicious. Breaking the warm egg into the udon made it creamy and tasty. It's the season for delicious cold udon. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant in the late morning on a regular day. I bought a meal ticket outside the store. I chose the shrimp tempura set (¥950) for my order. When I tried to enter the store, the staff came out and said something quickly before I could hand over the meal ticket, so I didn't understand. When I looked puzzled, they asked, "Would you like your udon noodles warm or cold?" I answered warm, and they gestured for me to sit at an available seat at the counter. You pour your own water here. After a while, the shrimp tempura set was served. The udon noodles were firm, and the soup was very light, so it tasted just right when I added ground white sesame. The shrimp tempura was slightly smaller than in the photo (in the photo, it was overflowing from the bowl, but in reality, it fit within the bowl), with two shrimp tempura pieces, a half-cooked egg tempura, and one vegetable tempura. I put a little too much sauce, so the rice at the bottom was a bit sticky.

I visited the Sanuki Udon Ibukiya Seimen Akihabara UDX store! It is located inside a building right near the station, so the location is very convenient! This time, I chose the mentai kamatama udon! I am very happy to be able to eat udon this delicious at this price in Akihabara! ✨

Homemade noodles have a great texture and are absolutely delicious! The broth is also tasty, so I couldn't resist wanting to have another bowl, but I held back haha. This restaurant is dedicated to using homemade noodles and natural broth. They offer authentic Sanuki udon made with freshly made noodles. In addition to udon dishes, they also have a variety of rice bowl sets. In urban locations, they have introduced ticket machines for quick lunch service. For dinner, they provide full service with a selection of alcoholic beverages, along with original fried chicken and other side dishes. It's a great place for a casual drink and enjoy authentic Sanuki udon.

I arrived at Akihabara UDX around 11:30 and went up to the 2nd floor using the escalator. I found a Sanuki udon restaurant called Ibukiya Seimen. I looked at the menu outside, bought a ticket from the machine, and entered. I ordered the Tempura Udon with extra noodles and chicken tempura. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the Tempura Udon arrived. The udon noodles were soft with a rich dashi soup, topped with tempura bamboo shoots and egg. The tempura was crispy and satisfying, and I enjoyed it until the last bite.

I used it for lunch. I bought a tempura udon at the ticket vending machine and was guided to a table seat by the staff. The restaurant had a crowded layout, so the spacing between the seats was narrow and the interior was noisy. Even though it wasn't very crowded, it was served in about 15 minutes. I had a seat where I could see the kitchen, and there were some mistakes in the orders and the udon was not served immediately. The noodles were thin and chewy, with no wheat flour taste and almost no firmness. The broth was salty. The tempura was pre-fried, so it was cold and lacked a crispy texture. The tempura with boiled egg was a first for me. Compared to a certain chain store, the cost performance was not very good.

If you want to have a cheap lunch at UDX, this place is a good option. While other restaurants typically have lunches over 1,000 yen, here you can get a bowl of udon with tempura for just 500 yen. They don't always have a one-coin promotion, so be aware of that. The kashiwa tempura is juicy and has a good portion size. The udon itself is decent, but the broth is delicious. Overall, it's a great deal for this price.

I was planning to order pork udon, but I couldn't find it on the ticket machine right away, and I ended up giving in to the pressure from the person behind me and bought beef udon instead. The ticket machine kept jamming while I was there, making it seem very busy. I also struggled to get change. The operation was a bit of a mess, haha. Despite the relatively empty restaurant, I had to wait about 10 minutes for my order. I wasn't expecting much from the udon based on previous information, but the wait seemed to pay off. The noodles had a nice wheat aroma, the broth was relatively rich, and overall, it turned out to be a satisfying bowl of udon. I liked it more than a certain Bib Gourmand restaurant in Kanda. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. The thick noodles are chewy, with a mild firmness. The dashi from Ibuki Irako in the restaurant's name does not have a strong smell, but it is just right. The mochi pork has a light flavor that does not overpower the udon's taste. Due to its location, it may feel a bit pricey.

I was torn between eating ramen or udon, but the strong recommendation from the staff made me buy a meal ticket and enter the restaurant. I ordered the shrimp tempura rice bowl set, and the shrimp was deliciously crispy. The udon had a rich broth. The cost performance was good too. It wasn't crowded. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere at the udon restaurant in UDX is similar to Marugame, but it is not as crowded and operates on a ticket system. There are not as many options as Marugame, and the tempura selection is limited to about two types. Overall, it feels a bit lacking. The broth is tasty, the udon noodles have a good texture but are prone to breaking. There is no green onion, but fried tempura bits come in a separate dish, and there is a sesame grinder available, although there is no ginger. Overall, it's a bit mediocre. The eggplant tempura is thin and lacks flavor. Not really impressed.

The tempura is big. Especially the chicken tempura is big. But the breast meat is tough. The udon noodles are a bit chemical-tasting because of the mentaiko. The egg tempura was completely cooked and not half-cooked. Not a fan of the sweet type.

I had been curious about this udon restaurant. Today's lunch is here. I ordered kitsune udon. A female staff member, from a country I couldn't quite place, asked me if I wanted it hot or cold. She spoke quickly, so I found it hard to understand, but I'm pretty sure that's what she was asking. I answered that I wanted it hot. The broth was rich and delicious, and the kitsune was sweet and tasty. I'll come back to try something different next time.

I went to the Sanuki Udon Ibukiya Seimen Akihabara UDX store. I purchased a beef bowl set from the ticket machine, and when I entered the store, there were only female customers. Later, male customers came in, which made me feel relieved. The beef bowl had finely chopped meat in a small bowl, making it easy to eat. It was sweet. The udon noodles had a good texture and were easy to eat. Thank you for the meal.

Udon + Chicken Nanban Don for 760 yen. The udon is classic and delicious. It lacks a bit of punch, but the cost performance is good. The Chicken Nanban is tasty, but the rice was too soft and ended up a bit like dumplings, which was disappointing.
