Triton in Ikebukuro is a great revolving sushi restaurant that offers seasonal Hokkaido seafood all year round. The freshness of the seafood is satisfying and the quality is just right. I tried the whole scallop dish this time, and it was served freshly prepared right in front of me. The flavors of each dish, including the scallop sushi and sashimi, were exceptional. Other highlights of the day included the grilled Atka mackerel sushi and the scallop from Hakodate. The richness of the ikura and baby octopus was also noteworthy. The meal ended with the Zangi Roll, which had a sweet sauce reminiscent of eel. Overall, I was once again satisfied with the delicious dishes at Triton. It's important not to judge Hokkaido sushi chains solely based on tuna, yellowtail, and mackerel, as they offer a unique variety of seafood that represents the region. The dishes are incredibly impressive. The succulent texture of the sweet shrimp was so beautiful that I couldn't help but take a photo. For women, about 4 or 5 plates would be enough to feel full. I lined up around 1pm on a weekday and was able to get in after waiting for about an hour. It's best to be prepared to wait even on weekdays.

Visited Triton, a popular revolving sushi restaurant in Hokkaido. It was very crowded, so I obtained a ticket at 3 pm and entered around 5 pm. The sushi was fresh and satisfying, with a wide variety of delicious options. While Nemuro Hanamaru is a competitor, Triton's quality is hard to beat. The three-piece plates of tuna and salmon were particularly delicious and I want to eat them every time.

It's been a while since I had Triton. I got a ticket for waiting in line at 11 o'clock, and waited for about an hour until my turn. The first time I tried it, the fish was very big and fresh, and I was very impressed. However, this time it wasn't as special. I'm not sure what was different from before. It costs almost 4,000 yen per person, and it didn't feel like a great deal.

I finally visited a revolving sushi restaurant that I had been wanting to go to for a long time as a fan of revolving sushi. Although I don't have many opportunities to go to Ikebukuro, I had a chance on a weekday when I had business there, and since I was alone and went at a slightly off-peak time, it was the perfect opportunity! I had to wait a bit with a numbered ticket (about 10 minutes), but it was worth it. The price wasn't 100 yen per plate, but since I was alone and couldn't eat that much, I spent 2000 yen for 5 plates! I tried the fatty tuna, sea eel, and salmon, which are my favorite oily types, and they were all delicious! However, it can't beat Choshi Maru in terms of cheap revolving sushi. I will definitely go back to this restaurant, which I now recognize as the second most delicious after Choshi Maru!

・On Fridays at 5:30 PM, there was a wait of around 30 groups. It took a little over 1 hour to get seated. By the time we left, there were over 40 groups waiting. ・We only had two colas for drinks, which came to about 10,000 yen. ・Of course, the sushi was delicious. I tried the Nixon Roll, which had minimal unnecessary ingredients like meat, and it was tasty. The cheese complemented it well.

On the 11th floor of Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro, I was looking for a relaxing lunch spot when I noticed a line forming at one place. Curious, I checked it out and found it was a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I decided to wait in line as it must be good. The restaurant opened a bit early at around 10:45 am, and I was the 3rd in line for the second round, getting seated around 11:15 am. I tried scallops, three types of salmon, three types of conger eel, tuna, and medium fatty tuna. They were all delicious, especially the seared conger eel which melted in my mouth. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have sea urchin, but I'll definitely come back when they do.

Ikebukuro store, second visit. Last time was on a weekday, but this time during summer vacation, so it was super crowded. I registered at the store entrance and there were 93 groups ahead of me. I was prepared for a wait, but not this long... I also wanted to go to the nearby Le***el, so I made a reservation there and passed the time by eating parfait. It took 3 hours. I was a bit full when I finally got to eat sushi, but it was delicious as always. I really wanted to eat the extra large botan shrimp, but they were sold out. The famous Nixon Roll was also delicious. The combination of eel and cream cheese is really creative, don't you think?

I went around 12 o'clock on a regular weekday, but there was already a line!! It was August and summer vacation, so maybe it was extra crowded, but as expected of a well-known shop in Hokkaido! I was able to get in around 1 o'clock. I was surprised that the menu was quite limited. Well, there were enough options, but some were sold out or waiting for ingredients, so there wasn't anything that really caught my attention, and my excitement dropped a bit. Maybe I got my hopes up too much after waiting for about an hour. However, I was amazed by a menu item I had never seen before, called "Octopus Eggs"!!! I had to try it! And it turned out to be a big hit for me. It had a slight crunch like ikura, a creamy texture like uni, and just the right amount of saltiness. It was irresistible for a sake drinker like me!! This dish left a lasting impression on me. If there's no line, I might go back to try it again.

There were 32 groups waiting at 18:30 on a regular day! We waited and wandered around. It's a very popular restaurant that I have visited a few times in Sapporo. I'm happy that I can enjoy it in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. However, I was disappointed that there were no new arrivals today and many menu items were sold out. I felt like the Hokkaido essence was a bit weak. But I enjoyed a leisurely meal alone and ate to my heart's content! The 3-piece salmon set, scallops, fatty tuna roll, cucumber roll for dessert, and the Yubari melon were particularly delicious!

At night, we went to "Triton" for sushi. It is a revolving sushi restaurant with a connection to Hokkaido. Known as the top three gourmet revolving sushi restaurants in Hokkaido are "Nemuro Hanamaru," "Triton," and "Nagoyakatei." Nemuro Hanamaru was the first to expand to Tokyo. Recently, they have been adding standing sushi bars. Triton is a type of restaurant where sushi is not circulated on a conveyor belt. Instead, orders made through a tablet are swiftly delivered to the customers. The counter has five young and lively chefs. We started with various shellfish, including live scallops, surf clams, and white tsubu clams. The scallops were firm, the surf clams had a mineral-like astringency and texture, and the white tsubu clams had a strong umami flavor. Next, we tried the squid with wasabi. The pungent spiciness and aroma of the wasabi enhanced the sweetness of the squid. The more we chewed, the squid's texture became sticky, sweet, and delicious. We then enjoyed the flying fish roe battleship sushi, which made us feel even hungrier. We continued with marinated flounder, fresh mackerel, and king crab legs, all of which were sweet and tender. The variety of sushi was not extensive, and there was a slight sense of Hokkaido's presence, which was slightly frustrating. We savored the zangi (fried chicken) and adult-style gourd rolls, generously filled with wasabi. The spicy kick of the wasabi made us tear up as we finished with cucumber and pickled ginger, mixing acidity, spiciness, and texture. It was a delightful way to end the meal.

Every time I come to Ikebukuro, I peek into the line and if the wait seems short, I come in. This time, the timing was good (around 4 pm) and there were only 3 or 4 groups ahead of me, so I decided to wait. Luckily, as a solo diner, I was able to skip ahead and was seated in about 10 minutes. The taste was as expected, stable, high quality, and fresh. In the end, I had 8 dishes and a bit of alcohol, all for less than 5,000 yen, which was within my budget. I definitely want to visit again in about six months.

I arrived at the restaurant right at 11 am on a regular day, but there were 70 people waiting and only 66 seats available, so I had to wait for the second round. Triton is truly popular! Their sushi is consistently cheap and delicious. The fish is sourced from Hokkaido, so it's fresh and generously portioned. My favorite is the clam soup. The staff seemed to be understaffed as they were rushing around and struggling to keep up. They couldn't seat people even when there were empty tables. It was crowded, so maybe it couldn't be helped.

The quality is not as good as rotating sushi, but it was delicious! I arrived around 17:00 on Sunday and had to wait for about 3 hours, so it's better to arrive early. However, the taste and freshness of Triton in Hokkaido, the home of sushi, was still unmatched.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday at 2:50 PM. I installed the matoka app, which notifies you when your turn is approaching. At 3:00 PM, I received a message saying my turn was near, so I hurried back to the store. I waited for 20 minutes outside the store before finally getting in after a 30-minute wait. I ordered salmon and natural tuna, both of which were delicious with large pieces that melted in my mouth. The salmon was particularly tasty, so I ordered three plates of it. Although everything else was also delicious, the salmon and tuna were so good that I could eat them endlessly! It was a bit disappointing that there was only one type of miso soup available at that time. You can ask for wasabi, and they will serve it in a small dish for you.

For lunch, I decided to have some sushi here. It was quite busy even though it was a weekday during lunchtime. When I was seated at the counter, the chef greeted me politely, which made me feel welcome. I started with recommended dishes like herring, snow crab, and Hokkaido flounder with kelp. Then I had surf clam, whelk, and scallop sushi. Overall, the sushi was decent for a conveyor belt sushi place, but considering the price, the cost performance wasn't that great. I felt that the rice lacked a bit of sharpness and flavor, but that might be just my personal preference. However, compared to non-conveyor belt sushi restaurants in the area, it didn't have that much charm.

I gave up waiting due to the long wait time, but decided to visit after a long time. I got a ticket at 15:30 and was able to enter at 17:30. There were 65 groups waiting at that time. Planning ahead is the key to visiting. I always feel like going when I want to eat delicious shellfish sushi because shellfish is really tasty. However, the medium fatty tuna and salmon from Nagasaki were also very delicious. The three seasonal specials were all fresh, had a good texture, and were delicious. The sea urchin had no fishy smell and had a very sweet taste. The Yubari melon was also exquisite. I would like to visit again when I have the chance.

The store is clean and the staff are friendly. It's still early, but it seems to be a very popular place as some of the items I was interested in were already sold out. I was lucky to get the crab, but it sold out quickly. The simmered conger eel was delicious, I ended up eating three plates of it. I think I will come back again.

This is my first visit. Based on other reviews, I focused more on shellfish and fish roe rather than fish. It was a bit expensive, but 11 dishes cost 3850 yen. I recommend the octopus eggs. If you visit, be sure to try them. It tastes very similar to miso.

On a certain Sunday, when I went to the restaurant with a friend, we arrived at 4:30 pm and there were 46 groups ahead of us. It was a long wait, so we took a number and left the premises. We estimated about a 2-hour wait and decided to pass the time by shopping at nearby stores. We could check the progress of the waiting list online. When it was close to our turn, we received a notification on our phones. When we returned, it was already past 6 pm and there were 100 groups waiting, and they had stopped accepting any more customers for the day. Those who came directly to the restaurant in the evening were surprised by the long wait and the fact that they couldn't be seated anymore. We ordered sushi through a tablet, so we could enjoy freshly made sushi anytime. We ordered smaller portions of sushi rice. We had a sashimi platter, including sea urchin, salmon roe, scallop, hokke fish, and clam, as well as grilled eel, seared tuna, fatty tuna, and tamago (egg). Everything was delicious and satisfying! It was great to be able to enjoy sushi ingredients directly from Hokkaido without having to board a plane.
