I visited the "Kyoto Koryu Aqua City" on the 5th floor of Aqua City Odaiba. I arrived around 11 am on a Sunday. Since they opened at 11 am, it was before the peak time and I was able to enter smoothly. The staff were very friendly. The entrance of the restaurant is a glass-walled kitchen where you can see them making xiaolongbao. I ordered the xiaolongbao set with wonton noodles for 1150 yen (excluding tax). The xiaolongbao arrived first. It is recommended to eat them quickly while they are hot as the skin hardens quickly. They go well with black vinegar and shredded ginger, giving a refreshing taste. When I finished the xiaolongbao, the wonton noodles arrived. The soup was clear and the noodles were very thin. The noodles quickly absorb the soup, so it's best to eat them promptly. The balance of salt and dashi in the soup, along with the firmness of the noodles, made it very delicious. I would like to visit this restaurant again when I come to Odaiba. Thank you for the meal.

There is a small dumpling shop in Aqua City in Odaiba. I think the main store is in Ebisu...? It's a nice place for a casual lunch, but Odaiba can get really crowded depending on the day of the week... We often have to wait in line, but we were seated fairly quickly. The lunch sets come with various dishes and dumplings, which are satisfying on their own. The dan dan noodles, mapo rice, shrimp fried rice, and other classic dishes are all above a certain level of deliciousness. The fact that it comes with shrimp chili is also a big plus. If you're unsure or in a bind, this is a reliable restaurant.

I went to Aqua City Odaiba and had dinner at Kyoteiro! I ordered xiaolongbao, vegetables, shrimp chili, and yakisoba. It had been a while since I last had them, but Kyoteiro's xiaolongbao was still delicious! It should probably be piping hot, but for someone like me with a sensitive tongue, it was just right not too hot. The shrimp chili and yakisoba were also delicious! Thank you for the meal!

In the Deck's area, there is a Chinese restaurant that you can make a reservation at. It's a casual place without a terrace or a view, but it's good for a quick meal. The xiaolongbao is a must-try, and they also have delicious-looking dumplings. However, they tend to sell out quickly, especially by around 7 pm on weekdays. The casual atmosphere makes it a convenient place to eat. After your meal, you can step outside to the terrace and enjoy the view of the Statue of Liberty and the Rainbow Bridge for a bit of Tokyo sightseeing.

Around April, I received a message from my daughter asking, "What do you want for your birthday?" I replied, "Black leather shoes." She responded with, "Again? Can't we do something else for a change? Let's go somewhere!" We both had been wanting to see "Alegría - Cirque du Soleil" together, so we decided to go watch it. After enjoying the show with a drink at the special venue in Odaiba, we had lunch at a restaurant called "Kyoto Tei Lo" that she had made a reservation for as a birthday celebration. The restaurant is known for its popular xiaolongbao dumplings, and since my daughter loves xiaolongbao almost as much as she loves yakiniku, she chose this place after failing to make a reservation at a popular yakiniku restaurant in Odaiba. Even for someone else's celebration, she managed to steer the choice towards what she wanted to eat, just like me (laughs). We had only reserved seats, but she insisted, "Let me celebrate you!" So we started with a toast of draft beer and a set of shark fin warm noodles. As we enjoyed the xiaolongbao in the set, we discussed the acts we had seen in "Alegría" earlier. And then the shark fin warm noodles arrived! The shark fin ramen was originally created by Shigeo Nagashima, and when you eat it at the Irohaen restaurant in Bunkyo Ward, the shark fin is served in a visible form and is very expensive. However, the shark fin warm noodles here were more affordable and had a relatively small amount of shark fin. My daughter celebrated me, so I quietly accepted it, but I couldn't help but think, "Isn't it a bit lacking? Let's order more xiaolongbao since we're here, and how about another beer refill?" So we added more xiaolongbao and refilled our beers while continuing our lively conversation about "Alegría." It's quite embarrassing to have a meal with just my daughter after a long time, but sharing events like this really livens up the conversation and makes it enjoyable! In addition to this, I also received black leather shoes as a birthday present. Thank you. I'm truly grateful (60th birthday)!

Today, my family and I went to Alegria for a meal. It was almost full even before 2 PM on a Sunday, so it's better to make a reservation if you plan to go. The xiaolongbao here is better than the all-you-can-eat options in Chinatown, with a generous amount of soup and thin skin that doesn't break easily. The five-flavor fried rice is decent but a bit pricey at over 1500 yen. It seems like the best way to enjoy this place is to go for the hearty xiaolongbao.

(Visit on 11/22/2022) Recommended lunch sets: Wonton noodle set for 1100 yen and Mapo tofu rice bowl set for 1100 yen (tax included). I like the set menu with xiaolongbao included. It's best to eat it right away or else the hot food will quickly cool down. It would be nice if there were about 2 more wontons in the wonton noodles. For the Mapo tofu rice bowl, I wish there was more Mapo tofu. The soup doesn't have much thickness. Personally, I prefer a thicker consistency. Thank you for the meal.

On Sunday afternoon around 12:55, I visited with one companion, making a total of two people. We were seated at a 4-person table within 3 minutes of waiting. We ordered the recommended lunch sets (for holidays), the Dan Dan noodles set and the Wonton noodles set (both priced at 1,683 yen). First, three Xiao Long Bao dumplings were served to each of us. We ate them with shredded ginger, black vinegar, and soy sauce, although it's debatable whether the skins were truly "ultra-thin". The noodles were thin and straight, with a light seasoning. The Dan Dan noodles had minced meat, baby bok choy, and green onions, while the Wonton noodles had shrimp wontons, baby bok choy, and green onions. The shrimp chili sauce was spicy. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Before it gets crowded, I was looking for a place to have lunch at Aqua City, and I found a Taiwanese soup dumpling shop! The shop was surprisingly spacious, and the smiling staff led me to a table. They recommended the set menu, so I ordered the dan dan noodles set. It was a good deal with dan dan noodles, 3 soup dumplings, and small shrimp chili for 1530 yen! The soup dumplings were served at the perfect temperature, and the meat's flavor overflowed when I drank the soup first. They were delicious with shredded ginger and black vinegar. The shrimp chili was slightly sweet and tender. The dan dan noodles, with plenty of sesame paste and spicy soup, paired well with the thin noodles and satisfied my taste buds!

During dinner time, we visited a restaurant that serves xiao long bao, which took a little time to prepare. While waiting, we enjoyed the drooling chicken and shrimp XO sauce. The drooling chicken had a strong star anise flavor and just the right amount of spiciness. We also tried three different kinds of xiao long bao: original, oolong tea, and crab - the crab one was the most delicious. We couldn't decide between noodles or rice, so we ended up ordering the vegetable bun. This also took some time, so we had the garlic stir-fried vegetables from Edo cuisine in the meantime. In the end, we ended up having three beers as well!

Located inside Aqua City in Odaiba, this restaurant, Kyoto Tenguro, seems to be a popular Taiwanese establishment. This was my first time dining here. I ordered the tantanmen, which came with the famous xiaolongbao. The xiaolongbao was delicious, served piping hot. As for the tantanmen, it was unexpectedly delicious. It was spicy, flavorful, and both the soup and noodles were tasty. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering an additional bowl of rice! A path to obesity. Thank you for the meal.

We had xiaolongbao, stir-fried pork with mushrooms and eggs, and shrimp dumplings. The dishes were served at a fast pace because the restaurant was about to close, which was convenient for us. The shrimp dumplings were particularly delicious with the sauce included. While there was nothing outstanding, overall the food was good and satisfying. The price was reasonable, costing around 8,000 yen for two people.

On the 5th floor of Aqua City Odaiba, there is a restaurant called "Jin Din Rou" known for their soup dumplings. The staff were very friendly. I entered the restaurant on a whim. Due to the pandemic, alcohol service ends at 7 pm, last order is at 7:30 pm, and they close at 8 pm. Even though I arrived after 7 pm, my orders kept coming out quickly, so I was able to leave by 8 pm. - Three kinds of soup dumplings (oolong tea, crab, regular soup dumplings x2 each): The crab dumplings were delicious, but I couldn't really taste the oolong tea flavor. - Regular soup dumplings (10 pieces): The juicy meat was delicious, but I thought they could be a bit hotter. - Shrimp in chili sauce: The flavor was not too strong, it was tasty. - Fried rice: The rice was fluffy and the flavor was consistent and good. - Hot and sour noodles: The vinegar flavor was quite strong compared to other places. Recommended for vinegar lovers, but it might not suit everyone's taste. - Dan dan noodles: Lacked depth in flavor, a bit on the mild side. - Five-ingredient yakisoba: Highly recommended. Lots of ingredients and the noodles were delicious with a slight crisp. This was the highlight of today's meal. I ordered two types of soup dumplings, but I preferred the regular ones. They were delicious and juicy. I would like to visit again for the soup dumplings and the five-ingredient yakisoba.

I got lost again trying to find the restaurant in Aqua City. It is divided into three blocks: East, Central, and West. I had to go to the West block and climb to the 5th floor to finally reach it. It was a bit confusing. This time, I wanted to fill my stomach with xiaolongbao, so I skipped the lunch menu and ordered 10 pieces. I tried the first one plain. It was hot and juicy, delicious! I dipped the rest in black vinegar, added some ginger, and enjoyed them all in no time. I thought 10 pieces would be filling, but I still wanted more. Maybe I should have ordered rice on the side. Last time, I tried the lunch menu with fried rice, but this restaurant is definitely all about xiaolongbao.

While it appeared that lunch service was suspended during the state of emergency, at least during the period of changing restrictions, they were serving lunch and I decided to try it out. After passing a temperature check, I was seated at the farthest table from other diners. The lunch menu seemed to focus on noodle or rice dishes paired with xiaolongbao, and I opted for the popular wonton noodle set priced at 1000 yen (excluding tax). The ginger was promptly served, and the xiaolongbao arrived in just 6 minutes. I enjoyed them with black vinegar and ginger, even though they weren't piping hot, they were delicious with thin skin. Next, the wonton noodles arrived, and after finishing the second and third xiaolongbao, I searched for pepper but couldn't find any, so I mistakenly added soy sauce thinking it was chili oil. The noodles were thin, and the shrimp in the wontons was quite impressive.

In the extreme cold, I was outside for nearly 2 hours for coverage. I was chilled to the core and just wanted something hot to eat! Not being very familiar with Odaiba, I searched on Tabelog and found Jing Ding Lou in Aqua City. The restaurant was founded by the three Chen brothers who trained at Din Tai Fung. When I visited Taiwan with friends, we had xiaolongbao at Jing Ding Lou in Taipei. The restaurant in Aqua City offers a lunch set with xiaolongbao for 1000 yen. I took a photo of the menu, but it was blurry (- -;). The place was not crowded. Maybe because there weren't many people in Odaiba due to the cold weather or it being a weekday. As for COVID-19 measures, there was only alcohol spray at the entrance. I ordered the wonton noodles and xiaolongbao set. You could also choose dan dan noodles. The xiaolongbao was served first. You eat it by dipping it in black vinegar and ginger. It was lukewarm, just like in Taipei. The wonton noodles were piping hot! Be careful not to burn yourself with the wontons. But this heat was exactly what I needed (^^;). The noodles were straight and had a slight kansui aroma, which I'm not a fan of. Maybe it's because the soup in the wonton noodles was light. I think it wouldn't bother me as much with dan dan noodles. Nonetheless, it really warmed me up.

Lunch menu: Shrimp fried rice set for 1150 yen (excluding tax). The set includes shrimp fried rice, 3 xiao long bao, and egg drop soup. There are instructions on how to eat on the table, so I followed them. The xiao long bao had a lot of soup inside and the skin was chewy and delicious. Three pieces were not enough (laughs). The fried rice had a good portion size for one person and was nicely done, with a fluffy texture. By the way, the mapo tofu was not that great.

Today was hot, so I felt like having Chinese food and went out to eat. The 1000 yen lunch set includes a main dish and xiaolongbao. I ordered the shrimp wonton noodles. When I presented the EPARK coupon for 2 xiaolongbao, they said none of the coupons could be used today. It was a bit confusing as there was no mention of this restriction anywhere. The shrimp wonton noodles were served with firm noodles and a small portion. The bok choy was too crunchy for my liking. For 1000 yen, you can find better lunch options at Aqua City. The value for money was not great. The service from the staff was disappointing. I quickly finished my meal and left the restaurant.

On a regular Wednesday at 13:30, I entered the restaurant and it was not full. I had a meeting around Odaiba area, so I decided to check out this place on Tabelog. I ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice Set for ¥1100 tax included, which came with shrimp fried rice, egg soup, and 3 Xiao Long Bao. Xiao Long Bao seems to be their specialty and they were delicious. The fried rice and Xiao Long Bao were both tasty. Thank you for the meal. Additional note: The Gundam statue had been changed to Unicorn Gundam! It looks so cool!

Located on the 5th floor of Aqua City, this restaurant is easy to enter. I visited because I was craving xiaolongbao. I ordered the Jade Course, which included: - Jellyfish with special black vinegar sauce - Steamed chicken cold dish with the fragrance of Oriental Beauty tea - Pork shabu-shabu salad - Seasonal limited xiaolongbao and two popular xiaolongbao from Jing Ding Lou - Taiwanese classic stir-fried water spinach - Shrimp with golden sand powder - Stir-fried beef and colorful vegetables - Shark fin and winter melon sauce over fried rice Sichuan style - Smooth almond tofu with acerola flavor The steamed chicken cold dish was tender chicken steamed with Taiwan's famous Oriental Beauty tea sauce, with a squeeze of lemon on top. The Oriental Beauty tea has a taste similar to black tea and is refreshing. The xiaolongbao I was looking forward to came in three flavors: Jing Ding Lou flavor, wasabi, and Oriental Beauty tea. They were not as hot as I expected, but still easy to eat warm. The wasabi flavor was strong and had a sharp kick to it. The Oriental Beauty tea flavor was green in color and had a unique taste from the tea-infused dough and meat. The Jing Ding Lou flavor was delicious with plenty of savory soup inside. Each xiaolongbao had juicy filling bursting from the thin skin, complemented well by the minced ginger and black vinegar sauce. The almond tofu was a surprising twist with a sweet and sour taste that took a moment to realize it was acerola syrup. It was a different kind of almond tofu. I finished everything in the Jade Course, and the portion sizes were generous, leaving me feeling satisfied.
