After several years, I visited the Asakusa Samba Carnival. The weather was clear, there was horse racing, and the Samba Carnival created a big crowd in Asakusa. I walked along Nishi Sando feeling like a tourist. I knew about Hoppy Street and the melon bread shops, but I didn't recognize the ramen shops on this street. The only thing I remembered about Nishi Sando was that there used to be hot springs here, although it closed down a few years ago. I used an app to find the location of the ramen shop, but it was fully packed with only counter seats. The hostess came out and assured me that there would be seats available soon, as it was a popular spot for regular customers on race days. I got a seat within 5 minutes. I had already decided on ordering the vegetable-rich "Noko Ippon" ramen for 1000 yen. The bowl arrived in about 3 minutes, and I found that there were fewer vegetables than I had expected. The soup was not as rich as Hokkaido miso ramen, maybe due to the lack of lard. However, if you think of it as just a regular miso ramen, it was decent. I don't think I would visit again, especially when there are places like Benkei nearby and Ezokiku in Ueno. It was a satisfying meal.

It's been a while, but when I feel like eating miso ramen, I decide to go all out! The flavor is so good that I want to come back for more. My favorite is the tsukemen. It comes with boiled spinach, noodles, seasoned egg, chashu, and plenty of seaweed. I'm so full! The chashu is thick and satisfying, just one piece is enough. The seasoned egg is delicious on its own. The soup is a bit spicy, so be careful if you don't like spicy food. They also have a soy sauce flavor which might not be as spicy. I plan to try the spicy miso ramen next time, but I always end up craving the tsukemen.

Near Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, there is a place called Namara-san in Asakusa Nishi-Sando Shotengai. I visited around 12:00 on a weekday. There were no customers at first, but more people started coming in. I ordered the lunch set A, which includes ramen and today's small rice bowl, which was ginger pork bowl. The set was only 850 yen in these times... very wallet-friendly! The ramen had a strong garlic flavor and was a mild miso ramen. The noodles were straight and very chewy, with stir-fried bean sprouts, cabbage, and other vegetables which was a nice touch. I felt that this ramen shop was very addictive with its junky taste. I was also surprised by the portion size of the small rice bowl. It was served in a large teacup that would make high school boys happy, and I was very full after eating it. It was delicious. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant at 12:20 on a regular day and waited for 1 person for 15 minutes. I ordered the Hokkaido red miso ramen for ¥850, with an extra 1.5 servings for ¥100, double vegetables for ¥150, and fresh garlic for ¥50. I had been there before but didn't remember the taste. This time, I tried the limited edition red miso ramen, which had a good level of spiciness. The soup wasn't too sweet, which I liked. The ramen had minced meat and vegetables cooked in the soup. It was delicious. I asked how long the limited edition would be available, and they said it would be around for a while. The restaurant had been closed for two consecutive days before today, but I finally got to eat there today. The owner explained that they were closed due to a festival.

I visited my younger sister's favorite restaurant for the first time. In addition to the photo, I also ordered a half-fried rice, and everything was delicious. The miso they use has a unique taste that feels original to this restaurant. The miso dipping noodles can be made spicy, but you can also have it with regular miso ramen soup. The menu lists the price as 700 yen, but it was actually 900 yen. Probably due to the influence of rising prices, but it was a satisfying taste and price.

I was craving spicy ramen, so I found this ramen shop within walking distance from my house. I ordered the spiciest ramen on the menu, but it wasn't as spicy as I expected. The portion was generous and the flavor was delicious! I also ordered some gyoza on the side, which was very tasty. The owner seemed more cold than friendly, but they were chatting and laughing with regular customers, so maybe they are nice after all.

Sapporo miso ramen restaurant in Asakusa Nishi-Sando. I had never had the chance to enter this restaurant before, as Nishi-Sando is not a place I often pass by. This time, I decided to give it a try and ordered their recommended dish, the "Perfect Miso Ramen." The soup is made with homemade miso using soybeans and rice koji from Hokkaido, without any additives. It has a rich flavor and is quite satisfying. The noodles are thick egg noodles with a smooth texture, and the portion is quite generous. The ramen also comes with a large slice of chashu pork and green onions, making it a very satisfying meal overall. Personally, I found this restaurant to be a wonderful place that makes me want to come back regularly in the future!

Tsukuba Express, 4 minutes walk from Asakusa Station. A counter-only style with 8 seats in total, 5 customers already seated and 1 customer waiting. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with extra spiciness level 2, priced at 850 yen, and added a large serving of noodles for an additional 100 yen, totaling 950 yen. The spiciness level increases the price accordingly, with a large serving of 2 extra noodles costing 150 yen. The half fried rice is priced at 350 yen, which is quite affordable. The ramen was served in about 7 minutes. The noodles were flat egg noodles with a slight curl, providing a good chewy texture and elasticity until about halfway through. The chashu was large and slightly thick, with a soft texture and average deliciousness. The spiciness of the soup was slightly milder than expected, at a medium level. The soup had a good balance of umami and spiciness at first but became somewhat monotonous and lacking as I continued eating. The soup may have been made without any additives, as mentioned in other reviews. After finishing the meal, I felt a unique refreshing feeling that comes after having a satisfying meal, leaving me with a sense of mystery. Even after leaving the restaurant, I still felt a lingering desire for the half fried rice. It was a mysterious dining experience. As of December 2022, the restaurant has a rating of 3.48 on Tabelog.

I went to a shop in Asakusa that I had been curious about for a while to try Hokkaido miso ramen. It was called "Hokkaido Ramen Namara Asakusa Nishisando Shop" located inside the Asakusa Nishisando Shopping Street. The menu caught my eye and I ended up changing my order from the planned "Spicy Curry Miso Ramen" to the following: - Perfect Miso Ramen (850 yen) A bowl that resembles a golf ball with dimples. It had soft large slices of pork belly chashu. I couldn't taste the seasoning much, so I tried dipping it into the soup. It had green onions and crunchy vegetables like cabbage, onions, bean sprouts, carrots, and ground meat. The soup used handmade miso made from Hokkaido soybeans and rice koji without any additives. It was light and mellow with a deep, slowly emerging richness. I could faintly taste the fermentation acidity in the flavor. The slightly yellowish medium-thick flat noodles were different from the usual thick and chewy egg noodles, and it was my first time seeing this type of noodles in miso ramen. I added some shichimi pepper when there was only a little left, and the soup became incredibly delicious. I am interested in trying the vegetable stir-fry set meal or the Genghis Khan set meal next time.

Lunch in Asakusa. The planned restaurant was unexpectedly closed. The backup restaurant we had in mind was also closed. We walked around in the rain looking for a new place to eat, and ended up at a ramen shop called "Namara," known for its Sapporo miso ramen. It was a small shop with only a counter, located near the arcade entrance. It was still before noon, but half of the seats were already taken. The shop was run by the owner alone. We were seated at a table in the back. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with a spice level of 2 (medium spicy). After about 4-5 minutes, the owner brought out the ramen, served in a small but deep bowl. The soup was red, and the spiciness was evident. The thick slice of chashu pork looked appetizing with its fatty texture. The spiciness turned out to be just right for me, not too spicy. There weren't as many vegetables as I had expected, but there was a good amount of cabbage and bean sprouts. The noodles were thick and yellow, giving a satisfying volume. I didn't feel the need to add extra toppings or side dishes like dumplings. Even though I'm not a big ramen fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Looking at the menu, I noticed they also had set meals like vegetable stir-fry. If I have the chance, I'd like to try the set meal next time. It was a bit frustrating to see an older man who came in later order the miso ramen with extra vegetables and less noodles, but I felt that the meal suited me well. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had been curious about this restaurant that is known for Hokkaido ramen, so I finally went there. Of course, I ordered the miso ramen. It seems like everyone else was also ordering miso ramen. In one word, I would say it was good but it lacked a little something. The taste is delicious overall, very much like Sapporo ramen. However, it's missing a punch, in a way it has a gentle flavor. If you add plenty of stir-fried vegetables with lots of lard, a little garlic, and plenty of ginger, it feels like it could transform into something amazing. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

The G1 racing season has started and Asakusa is chaotic on weekends. Well, it's always chaotic. The area near WINS is always chaotic. Tourists wander around with horse racing newspapers in hand, enjoying food and drinks. I decided to treat myself to ramen after seeing some results from my diet. I thought miso ramen might be the healthiest choice, so I came here. I ordered the spicy miso ramen (level 2 spiciness) and fried rice set. It's quite cheap for this location at 1,000 yen. The ramen has a nice level of spiciness and miso flavor, it's really delicious! The fried rice is also surprisingly good. Overall, the quality is high.

[Store Name] Namara Asakusa Nishisando Branch [Nearest Station] 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station [Lunch Budget] 700 yen - 950 yen Visited in April 2022 [About the Restaurant] As I looked at the sign in front of the restaurant, I realized that there was a ramen shop in this location. It seems to be a miso ramen specialty store. The restaurant is open, so I inform the staff of my arrival. I am guided to a seat at the L-shaped counter and sanitize my hands with the alcohol spray provided at the seat. The clientele seems to consist mainly of male solo tourists. [About the Food] ★ Miso Ramen 700 yen There are set menus, as well as spicy and extra spicy options, but since it's my first visit, I decided to start with the standard miso ramen. The ramen is served over the counter in a few minutes. The soup has a gentle flavor, and the noodles are medium-thick curly noodles with a bit of chewiness. In addition to bean sprouts, the ramen also includes cabbage and bell peppers, which are unusual for ramen. The chashu is large with a good chewiness and goes well with the miso soup. I think it offers good value for the price. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at 11:25. Only 5 minutes until the store opens. While waiting for the opening, I remembered my old friend from Hokkaido often saying "it's really good." The store quickly filled up after opening due to the holiday. There were many familiar faces among the customers. I ordered a set of miso ramen and a small rice bowl. The miso ramen was topped with plenty of vegetables and thick slices of roasted pork. It had a well-balanced flavor with a hint of sweetness, not too overpowering. The noodles were thick and curly, with a satisfying chewiness. Personally, I often struggle to finish miso ramen with a large amount of bean sprouts, so I appreciated the generous portion of this dish. Thank you for the meal.

There was a ramen shop near my house that I had always wanted to try! I went there before 12 o'clock, but it was already full. Looking at the menu, the lunch set seemed like a great deal! It must be a shop loved by locals. After waiting a few minutes, I was able to get a table. I ordered the spicy miso ramen, of course, I chose the extra spicy option!! I also had some gyoza. The spicy miso ramen had a bright red appearance but it wasn't as spicy as I expected. However, the curly noodles were delicious when mixed with the soup. It had a traditional Hokkaido ramen feel to it! Curly noodles are so good, right? The gyoza was also delicious with a traditional taste! I wonder if it's run by a husband and wife? It had a cozy and friendly atmosphere which I liked!

I found a ramen shop in Tokyo while making New Year's greetings, and they serve authentic Sapporo miso ramen which I was craving for. The name of the restaurant is great - "Namara"! The miso soup had a rich flavor, and the noodles and vegetables were well combined. The noodles were slightly flat, and personally, I wished for more punch in the flavor. However, if you can eat it in Tokyo, it's perfect. The fried rice was exceptional though! You can even make a meal out of just the fried rice!

I had some business in Tokyo so I did a little research and visited this place. I ordered the C set which includes miso ramen, gyoza, and half rice. The soup had a strong flavor but was surprisingly light. I prefer rich and salty miso ramen, so honestly, it didn't quite suit my taste. However, it wasn't bad at all, and I finished the soup completely. It seems like the appeal of this place lies in their spicy miso ramen, so maybe you need to order it with at least a spice level of 1 to truly appreciate it. There was also another type of miso ramen called "Manmaru" which seemed different from the "Namara Miso Ramen" I had, but I wanted to try the regular one this time. The noodles didn't leave a particularly strong impression. The gyoza was like those you find in local Chinese restaurants, which I enjoyed.

I wanted to eat spicy ramen. I ordered the Extra Spicy Miso Ramen. There was an option for Hell Spicy on top of Extra Spicy, but since it was my first visit, I went with Extra Spicy. The ramen was served in about 7 minutes. I took a sip of the soup first, and it had a rich miso flavor that matched well with the spiciness of the chili peppers. The spiciness wasn't too intense, so I think I could handle Hell Spicy next time. The noodles had a chewy texture typical of miso ramen. It was delicious!

Lunch was at Namara in Asakusa. It's a Hokkaido ramen shop. I ordered the miso ramen B set with a Coke. The B set comes with half fried rice. The miso ramen is a type where they pour the vegetables and soup in a pot. The miso is a bit spicy, which gives it a nice flavor. The addition of ginger is also pleasant. Another great point is the shichimi spice on the counter. This shop also offers spicy miso ramen, with levels of spiciness ranging from mild to extremely hot. The noodles are medium-thick, flat noodles, which is quite unique. The half fried rice is surprisingly filling and delicious. It goes well with the Coke. And all of this for only 1150 yen. Incredible cost performance.

I came here because a reliable person I follow recommended it. The restaurant is located just off the main street in the Nishi Sanjo shopping district from the Roku district. Even though it's a quiet area, the restaurant was almost full when I arrived after 12 o'clock. I ordered the miso ramen, which had the typical Sapporo-style noodles - chewy and yellow. The noodles went well with the rich and sweet soup. The amazing thing about this ramen is that it stayed piping hot until the last bite, despite not having an oily film on the surface like Sapporo's Sumire ramen. When I tried to finish the soup, it was so hot that I couldn't hold the bowl with my left hand. It was delicious until the very end.
