At a certain milestone of my food log reviews, my friend and unique reviewer, La-san, suggested that for the 4,000th review, I should go to Saizeriya. Today, I fulfill that promise. Among the many Saizeriya locations, the Odaiba Frontier store is my favorite because it serves breakfast starting from 8 am, and I love both breakfast and alcohol. I confirmed in advance that I could order from both the breakfast menu and the regular menu. Odaiba is inconvenient and expensive to get to. Taking the Yurikamome line costs 325 yen from Odaiba Kaihinkoen Station or 335 yen from Shinbashi. I was considering taking the Yurikamome, but then I discovered the "Odaiba Rainbow Bus" from Shinagawa, costing only 220 yen! Unfortunately, Suica and PASMO cards cannot be used, but the bus guide is a tape recording of Fuji TV female announcer Moemi Kyudo. After crossing the unblocked Rainbow Bridge, I arrived safely. I got off at the bus stop and found Saizeriya right away. As usual, I chose a seat with a good view. The breakfast menu offers two options: salad set or soup set, both priced at 399 yen after the tax increase. I ordered the "Salad Set Morning" (399 yen), a 250cc "Red Wine Decanter Small" (200 yen) for a drink, and the "Soft Green Bean Warm Salad" (199 yen) as an appetizer. I also splurged on the "Pecorino Romano" (100 yen) topping. I started with a vegetable juice for breakfast. The food arrived all at once. The lettuce salad had more than expected, with Thousand Island dressing already applied. The breakfast plate included a half-cut slice of thin toast, diced potato fries, a small sausage, a sunny-side-up egg, and butter. With the drink bar included, the 399 yen breakfast plate was surprisingly cost-effective. To celebrate my 4,000th review, I poured myself a glass of red wine and toasted. It was a plastic cup, but the wine had a refreshing taste and was a steal at 200 yen for two servings. I topped the bean salad with plenty of shaved cheese and cracked the soft-boiled egg inside. The yolk was runny. I also topped the breakfast plate's sunny-side-up egg on the bean salad, and when cracked, the yolk was runny. The bacon and cheese provided enough saltiness, making it a great snack with wine. In the second half, I sprinkled a little chili flakes from the table on top for a change in flavor. The potato fries and sausage were already salty, making them a good match for wine. I took some carbonated water from the drink bar and mixed it with the red wine to make a spritzer. Ah, I was satisfied. The bill came out to an incredible 898 yen! A great deal! I look forward to your continued support. Thank you.
