The subcontractor from a manufacturer in Osaka came to Tokyo for a business trip, and we decided to have dinner together. We met at 5:30 PM at JR Akihabara Station Electric Town Exit and visited this tempura skewer restaurant on the 3rd floor of Akihabara UDX. The restaurant serves around 40 types of skewers that are fried in front of customers, and they are brought out one by one until the customer stops. You are asked about your dislikes at the beginning, so they can avoid serving those items. We started with ordering a draft beer and a highball, which came with vegetable sticks, side dishes, and sauce dishes with mustard, tonkatsu sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. We toasted and nibbled on cabbage while waiting for the first skewer. The angel shrimp was delicious, with the head removed and the legs left on while being fried. The tofu skin had a good texture, but the soybean aroma may not be the best match for tempura. The cod roe wrapped in eggplant was interesting, but both ingredients lacked flavor impact. The mushroom skewer was flavorful, with the essence of the mushroom captured in the tempura. The Nagoya Cochin chicken was tasty, with the fat on the skin adding to the flavor. The black pork loin was small but delicious. The bacon-wrapped rapeseed flowers were a good combination of salty bacon and slightly bitter rapeseed flowers. The beef skewer, however, had a gamey taste when fried. The Mozuku vinegar served as a refreshing palate cleanser. The shrimp and shiso roll was simple and tasty, while the turban shell was served with its shell, showcasing the delicate meat. The asparagus wrapped in pork was aromatic and filling. The spinach and beef roll was decent but lacked synergy. I decided to stop after the crab claw skewer. Overall, the skewers were small and lightly fried in vegetable oil, making it easy to try a variety of options. While I used to be able to try around 40 skewers, I was satisfied with 15 this time. It's challenging to prepare 40 types of skewers, and the variety can lead to some hits and misses.

Tatsuyoshi's tempura skewers are not just a meal, they are small works of art. As soon as you step into the restaurant, you will feel its lively and welcoming atmosphere. Watching skilled chefs fry the tempura skewers right in front of you fills you with anticipation. The recommended seasoning is the special mayonnaise, which enhances the deliciousness when dipped in vegetables or drizzled over the tempura itself. The skewers are served one by one, allowing you to eat at your own pace and choose the amount you want. What's particularly noteworthy is the wide variety of menu options. With over 30 types of tempura skewers, you can enjoy endless combinations based on your mood or preference for the day. Finally, you can end your meal with a heartwarming cup of hot tea and dessert. It's a comforting way to conclude a day filled with deliciousness and satisfaction, like taking a deep breath. Tatsuyoshi is not just a regular dining place, but a place for people to gather, have fun, and create new experiences. Be sure to experience a moment at Tatsuyoshi. The new possibilities of tempura skewers and memorable moments are waiting for you.

I visited on a holiday night. There were also solo customers, so it felt easy to enter even alone. You can enjoy the excitement of seeing original freshly fried skewers right in front of you. The batter was light and easy to eat, and it was delicious. I saw a recommendation for homemade mayonnaise in the reviews, so I ordered it first. It was delicious when dipped with the vegetable side dish or with the skewers. The skewers are left to the chef's choice, and they are served one by one at a pace that suits you. I felt that it was nice not to have to worry about the speed of eating when going with close friends.

I revisited the tempura restaurant on the 3rd floor of Akihabara UDX for lunch. Unlike the system at night where dishes keep coming until you stop, the lunch menu is fixed with options like an 8-piece tempura lunch and a 3-piece jumbo shrimp lunch. Both come with rice, miso soup, fresh vegetables, and ice cream. You can also add more tempura if you're still hungry. I ordered the jumbo shrimp lunch because I wanted to try the shrimp. The plate came with sauce and rock salt on the side. I started by eating the fresh vegetables with a light dip of sauce. The tempura included one jumbo shrimp with tartar sauce, while the rest were for you to season as you like. The tempura was crispy and not too heavy, allowing the delicious flavors of the ingredients to shine through. While lunch is simple with no fancy fillings, the value for money is definitely high.

Omakase Ryukichi was a restaurant near Mitsukoshi in Shinjuku that I used to visit often when on business trips to Tokyo. I also stopped by with my family after visiting Disneyland. Once, when I visited my daughter in Chiba, we went to the Akihabara location but it was full. We waited for a while until a reserved table opened up. Finally, we got in and had the kushikatsu, which impressed my daughter with its deliciousness. I remember visiting in the past, but I didn't remember the taste much. My daughter was so impressed this time. Next time, I'll make a reservation in advance.

This restaurant offers a variety of 40 different types of skewers! I was looking for something different to eat and decided to try it out. Located inside UDX, it wasn't too crowded at an early hour so I could sit at the counter. The skewers were served as a set, with each skewer having a large portion of ingredients. It was nice to have some vegetables on the side to eat in between skewers. There were also many different types of sauces to enjoy different flavors. The staff mentioned that they have a total of 40 types of skewers, and if you have a favorite, you can request it. I had about 9 skewers and was already full, it was a great experience!

This time, I went to a tempura skewer restaurant with my senpai again. The tempura skewers were consistently crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and we couldn't stop praising how delicious they were! They also served seasonal ingredients, and I tried eel tempura for the first time, which was surprisingly delicious! We also enjoyed plenty of barley shochu. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

There were plenty of spring ingredients like shungiku, bamboo shoots, new onions, new potatoes, sablefish, bonito, and more. It was very delicious this time as well. Maybe because I'm on a diet and my stomach has shrunk, I gave up after eating 17 skewers. I also had two highballs and two cups of sake, totaling ¥6,000 for one person. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times, including the locations in Hibiya and Shinjuku, but the Akihabara store is my favorite as it is more relaxed. I ordered the lunch course and was planning to order more, but as a solo female diner, the course was enough. I look forward to visiting the Akihabara store at night next time.

We're back at the deep-fried skewer paradise. We started with angel prawns, and although I feel like I ate more skewers, for some reason there are no photos after the shishito peppers... I indulged in plenty of barley shochu with soda. Even on a weekday, the place was packed and bustling! Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today, my business trip accommodation was in Akihabara, and Tokyo hotels are so expensive! There are hardly any options below 25,000 yen per night. I ended up finding a hotel for around 30,000 yen, finally settling in Akihabara. Before the pandemic, I used to look for hotels under 20,000 yen on weekends and stayed in old hotels near Musashi Kosugi Station or Ueno Station. This time, I visited a restaurant with a work colleague for a meeting and some drinks. The interior had only a counter, and we were seated very closely, which was a bit uncomfortable for two men. We enjoyed some delicious fried skewers, similar to "Kushi no Bou" in Osaka. We had a total of 15 skewers and finished our meal. We declined the ice cream and tea that were offered at the end, as it seemed a bit odd for two men. We paid the bill and noticed a ranking board near the register. It was interesting to see that a sumo wrestler had eaten 100 skewers, while a woman had eaten 145 skewers! Impressive! After the meal, we found a smoking area by walking to the right and going up an escalator to the nearby building. Thank you for the meal!

I entered the store at 18:20. Inside, there is only a counter with all-you-can-eat cabbage. The staff brings out cabbage one by one at the pace you eat, and recommends how to eat it. They also offer homemade mayonnaise for an additional 100 yen. For the finishing touch, they serve seaweed tea with pickled plum.

With 1 skewer for 200 yen and about 40 different types available, this place is still sticking to its original style of serving until you say stop. I visited in Shinjuku and Urawa before, but it had been a while since I last visited in Akihabara, where I had only been for lunch recently. I arrived around 5 pm, so there weren't many customers at that time, but by the time I left around 8 pm, it was almost full and quite crowded. Since it's counter seating only, most of the customers were in small groups. I started with a limited craft citrus shochu called Golden something. I began with fried oysters on skewers. I couldn't remember if the asparagus used to come with tartar sauce, but I couldn't recall. The sprouts of cod and the mushrooms were delicious, and the temple peppers were a highlight. I later realized that they offer homemade mayonnaise, which I will definitely order next time. The homemade mayonnaise for 100 yen is worth trying. It has a nice kick of pepper and spices, which goes well with the drinks. The grapefruit sour with popping candy was also delicious. Next time, I will make sure to order the homemade mayonnaise first.

At the end of the year, I went out to eat in Tokyo. I remembered how delicious it was when I went before, so I decided to visit again. The restaurant is located on the restaurant floor of Akihabara UDX. Even without a reservation, I was able to walk in, but it was still bustling even after 8:30 pm. To start, they serve fresh vegetables and hijiki with sauce. You can have seconds of the cabbage. The tempura skewers can be enjoyed with sweet sauce, spicy sauce, soy sauce, lemon, or salt. They ask about your preferences for skewers at the beginning. You can also request specific items. They bring out the skewers in order until you say stop, and each skewer costs 200 yen. In addition to vegetables, they offer creative tempura skewers. Oysters, crab, Nagoya Cochin chicken, salmon and camembert, white fish with tartar sauce, clam with yuzu peel, stuffed bell pepper, bacon-wrapped asparagus, and more. Each skewer has a different sauce, so you won't get bored. The batter is light and delicious, so you can eat to your heart's content, and I was full after 20 skewers. Finally, they serve strawberry ice cream and warm tea, allowing you to relax. I was very satisfied. I look forward to what will come next. The creative tempura skewers offer a sense of excitement. The atmosphere and the attentive staff make me want to visit again.

Each time a mysterious photo of some skewers, but when eating, I know exactly what they are, so it's all good haha. It seems like they are fully booked for the end of the year, so they must be doing really well! It looks like they've added more sake options to their menu too. Thanks for the delicious meal!

When I called, they said they couldn't make a reservation. I went around 7:30 PM and didn't have to wait. We didn't order ala carte, instead, we had two draft beers, one sake, shrimp wrapped in shiso, fillet meat, cod with shirako, kombu and mushrooms, tilefish, rice cake, beef, asparagus, salmon and cheese, chicken wrapped in shiso, fugu, mozuku seaweed (as a palate cleanser), sweet long red pepper and shishito peppers, aged pork, shrimp avocado, and chocolate cake. Originally, there were about 5 more items before the chocolate cake, but I was already full so I had to give up on them. My companion finished the course. The total bill for 2 people was 9900 yen, which is cheap! The taste was okay... considering the price, I guess it's not bad. I was surprised that all the meat was tough and the food was a bit greasy. I wish it was a bit lighter and crispier.

I visited Tachiyoshi-san for the first time in 4 years, and it was just as cozy and welcoming as before. The pace of serving skewers was perfect. The ginkgo nuts were particularly delicious, with a soft and fluffy texture that was perfect for this season. The asparagus with the tangy sauce on top was also excellent. They served a variety of skewers with soy sauce, spicy sauce, and curry flavors, so it was never boring. I enjoyed trying new things with the omakase option. They always check for any dietary restrictions beforehand, which is reassuring. The dessert of matcha ice cream and warm tea was a perfect way to end the meal. In the end, my wife and I were very satisfied with 14 skewers each. The photo shows just some of the dishes we enjoyed.

Let's go for drinks! When? How about today? Great! Where should we go? I'm open to anything. Okay, let's go to the tempura and skewers place in Akihabara. We started with some hot skewers and drinks, and it was a good time. We kept eating and drinking, and it was getting fun. We were getting a bit drunk and couldn't remember what we ate. Tempura was somewhat distinguishable in the photos. We kept eating skewers until we couldn't anymore. It was a memorable night.

I tried a tempura skewer restaurant on the 3rd floor of Akihabara UDX for the first time. When I sat at the counter shaped like a "コ", a plate with vegetables, sauces, and tofu was brought out first. When I ordered a drink, they asked if I had any dislikes or allergies, but I didn't have any. The tempura skewers come out automatically, and you have to signal when you want to stop ordering. It's fun not knowing what will come next. The items that came out were shrimp with shiso, beef and leeks, shimeji mushrooms, lotus root, Nagoya Cochin chicken, Kamo eggplant, asparagus, and then pickled vegetables for a palate cleanser. Next came pickled ginger, quail, conger eel with plum and shiso, shiitake mushrooms, Shihoro beef, and shishito peppers, and I signaled for two more items before stopping. German potatoes were confirmed as the next dish, and they asked for a preference on the last one, so I requested meat. Finally, I ended with black pork belly tempura. Some items were plain while others had fillings or were wrapped in meat, adding variety. I particularly enjoyed the pickled ginger, conger eel, Shihoro beef, and black pork. I finished with ice cream and tea. I overate a bit, looking forward to the next items.

Today, we went to a restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. We all love kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) there. The usual chef wasn't there today, so the presentation was a bit different, but the taste was still delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

It was a rare occasion when I was taken to a meeting in Akihabara, a place I didn't know well. We ended up at a restaurant on the 3rd floor of a large commercial building, a somewhat elegant gourmet floor. To my surprise, there was a restaurant called "Yukari." I wondered why such a place was in the heart of Edo... Anyway, this restaurant turned out to be a counter-only establishment serving deep-fried skewers. If you stay silent, freshly fried skewers will keep appearing in front of you. The system is such that they keep coming endlessly. I wonder how many skewers I had, maybe around 20? They were delicious being freshly fried and crispy. The sauce or soy sauce in front of me was a bit hard to identify. It seems they also offer ochazuke as the finishing dish. Eating endlessly like this made me lose track of what I was eating. It might not be a good idea to eat this way for too long, haha.
