On this day, I had work in Sendagi and decided to have lunch at "Menya Hidamari" restaurant. I arrived around 14:30, after the lunchtime rush, so there was only one customer ahead of me. I purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine at the entrance and was then seated. I ordered the seared pork with salt ramen. It took about 7 minutes from ordering to being served. When I tried the soup first, I could taste a subtle seafood broth followed by a creamy salt flavor, which was delicious. The addition of yuzu peel gave a nice touch. The whole wheat thin noodles were soft in texture and paired well with the soup. The seared chashu had a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture in some parts, but other parts were a bit tough. The soup and noodles were so tasty that I'm thinking of trying the flavored egg salt ramen next time. I enjoyed the soup so much that I almost finished it all. Thank you for the meal.

I thought I arrived early, but when I got there after the store opened at 11:30, there was already a line so I waited for about 30 minutes. Even after that, there were still about 10 people waiting outside. I wondered if they were short-staffed since there were only two people working. Despite that, I lined up with excitement. It had been a while since I last visited, and this time I tried the summer limited cold ramen, the classic shio tamago, and the gyoza for the first time. It was worth the wait, as the ramen had a refreshing yet flavorful soup that I could easily finish. The gyoza had a strong ginger flavor and the meat was coarsely minced, giving it a satisfying texture. Next time, I want to line up before the store opens to be one of the first customers inside.

Passing by Yanaka Ginza, there are shops along Yomise Street. This time, I ordered the recommended "Wajio Ramen" and "Yanaka Gyoza". (I repeated because it was so delicious, so I will also include "Wafu Shio Tsukemen" and "Charcoal-Grilled Pork and Negi Donburi"!) - Wajio Ramen: A clear soup full of umami from bonito, dried sardines, chicken, and more. The refreshing taste enhanced by salt, with the topping of char siu that melts into the soup, creating a satisfying bowl. - Yanaka Gyoza: Long ago, Yanaka was known as a ginger-producing area, and its name still remains as "Yanaka Ginger". Garlic-free, using Yanaka ginger instead. No need to worry about the smell, making it a great choice for lunch! - Wafu Shio Tsukemen: With grilled pork on top, it's very filling. The grilled pork is cooked piece by piece on a charcoal grill. As the name suggests, the soup contains large leaves, making it refreshing and delicious until the end. Perfect for this season. - Charcoal-Grilled Pork and Negi Donburi: The combination of plum, seaweed, and negi is perfect, juicy yet not heavy, and I finished it all! - Recommended nearby shops: - Machi Chuka "Issuntei" - Keiya Men Shop In conclusion, it was a very satisfying and fulfilling meal. Thank you, Menya Hidamari. Please visit when you come to Yanaka Sen.

I visited the restaurant on a very hot afternoon for some salt replenishment after sweating too much. I ordered the Ajitama Wasyoku Ramen (1,050 yen) for that purpose, along with the three Tanakan Gyoza (260 yen) that I had been wanting to try. The Tanakan Gyoza that came out first was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, very delicious. The Ajitama Wasyoku Ramen had the same refined taste of seafood and chicken broth as before, with a mild saltiness that was light and refreshing. This time, I finished all the soup and was able to replenish my salt intake properly. From July to the end of September, they are holding a "Tane-Sen-Chi Small Shop Tour Stamp Rally", with 10 shops participating including Menya Himawari. Enjoying the atmosphere and scenery of Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi while exploring these shops sounds like a lot of fun. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

On Sunday, when I went to Yanaka Ginza, I had lunch here. I arrived at 12:00 and waited in line for about 30 minutes before being able to enter the restaurant. The interior is small and clean, with counter seats and tables for two. I ordered salt ramen and salt tsukemen. Personally, I would recommend the salt ramen. It has a strong Japanese flavor, the soup is dark in color but light in taste, and the thin noodles go really well with the soup. The char siu is carefully charred, showing attention to detail. The tsukemen has thicker noodles compared to the ramen, and you can choose between hot and cold. The soup has shiso leaves in it, making it very refreshing. Because it's light, I personally prefer savoring the soup while drinking the ramen. Surprisingly, there were many families with small children, probably due to the location. Although it doesn't seem particularly family-friendly, almost all the people waiting in line were families with young children. So the turnover is not very fast, it's better to have some extra time when lining up.

Ajitama Shoyu Laa Men for 950 yen and Wajio Laa Men for 850 yen. Both are light but flavorful. The noodles are slightly thick and provide a satisfying chew, although they may be a bit too soft. The char siu is torched and delicious, with plenty of toppings for a satisfying meal.

I went to a noodle shop in Sendagi and ordered the Ajitama Shoyu Ramen in the sunlight. I had been to this place before and remembered that the salt ramen was delicious. I couldn't decide between ramen or tsukemen, but ended up choosing the ramen with seasoned egg. The ramen was served quickly, but it turned out to be soy sauce flavored instead of salt. I realized I had pressed the wrong button on the ticket machine. Despite the mistake, the soy sauce ramen was still delicious. The noodles were soft and the soup had a good balance. In the end, it was a happy accident.

Order ▶︎▷ The clear and light salt ramen soup was surprisingly flavorful with a hint of richness. As a fan of thin noodles, I was delighted by this dish. I think the soup base is made from seafood. It was delicious! Not too heavy, so I finished it in no time! By the way, my mother, who ordered the soy sauce ramen with seasoned egg, said the seasoned egg was exquisite! Thank you for the meal♪

I visited Menya Hidamari on Yomise Street in Tanaka. I waited for about 15 minutes, bought a meal ticket, and entered the shop. The seating area was limited, but it didn't feel cramped. The soup, described as "Wajio," was not as light as I expected, but rather rich and flavorful. I felt the high level of completion. I would like to visit again.

I also visited this place after seeing the long line on my day off. I bought a ticket for the salt ramen with flavored egg for 1050 yen and sat at a table near the entrance to wait. The service was quick. The aroma of yuzu was nice! I took a bite eagerly. Huh? The noodles are clumped together... When I tried to separate them, I found that the noodles were soft and had a strange elasticity, making them difficult to chew. I prefer firmer noodles. The soup also lacked flavor. It had a salty taste but was watery and bland. I wonder why I can't taste much flavor. The chashu was delicious, but the flavored egg was disappointing. It wasn't tasty. I had high expectations, but I was let down. I think I'll give the limited chicken paitan soup ramen another try next time.

It was about a 10-minute walk from Nippori Station. I visited around 13:30 on Saturday and there were about 8 groups waiting in line. I waited for about 40 minutes to enter. The well-balanced soup was very delicious. The gyoza was also quite tasty, so I recommend it to anyone planning to go there.

I visited while strolling through Tsunaginaka Ginza. I had to wait a bit, but I was able to enter the shop without any issues. The atmosphere was not bad. The staff were friendly. The ramen itself is on the lighter side, but the soup has a strong flavor and is very delicious. Even though I usually prefer rich flavors, I was satisfied with the deliciousness.

In the shopping street, there is a ramen shop with a stylish appearance that is not immediately recognizable as a ramen shop. The interior is also stylish, making it easy for even a woman to enter alone. The first impression of the limited edition chicken white broth ramen rice bowl I had on my first visit was beautiful. The pork chashu, chicken chashu, and seasoned egg were all carefully made. The taste was also good! The soup was rich in flavor but had a refreshing aftertaste of paitan soup. The noodles were firm and delicious, intertwining with the soup. Overall, I was very satisfied!! Thank you very much!

Between Sengoku and Nishi-Nippori on Yomise Street. On a chilly spring night with sudden rain, I suddenly felt like eating ramen. The area was busier than usual. After 7 pm, there are fewer noticeable restaurants, making it hard to find something quick to eat. The clean appearance of the shop lived up to expectations. The chashu was delicious, and the thin, soft noodles left a lasting impression. The service was a bit slow, and for some reason, there were many pairs of diners, so the turnover seemed low. Thank you for the meal!

I visited "Menya Hidamari" located beyond Koshizuka at the entrance of Yanaka Ginza on Yomise Street. I ordered the classic salt ramen. It was delicious as always. It has a nice balance of saltiness and richness without being too heavy. Even though it's salt ramen, it has a light yet flavorful taste. It's a well-known shop, so there's no need to say more!

Head to the famous additive-free restaurant in Sendagi. When it comes to top additive-free restaurants in Tokyo, places like Hatchobori Nanasai, Minowa Toy Box, and Sugamo Ima Mura all provide a blissful dining experience with dishes that are safe to eat. This time, I arrived just before closing time and enjoyed a meal. The whole wheat noodles are gluten-free and have an incredibly delicious texture. The soup and ingredients have a unique aroma and natural flavor that is truly delightful with each bite, making me smile with every mouthful and almost look up to the heavens. The Tamago Kake Gohan (raw egg over rice) was also perfectly balanced using free-range eggs, showing great care. I definitely want to visit this top additive-free restaurant in Tokyo again.

I had been curious about Menya Hidamari in Sendagi for a long time. It's right by Yanaka Ginza. But on Sundays, Yanaka-Senju is always crowded with people. There was a bit of a line at Menya Hidamari too. I bought a ticket for the "Salt Ramen (¥850)" and "Yanaka Gyoza (3 pieces for ¥260)" and headed to the counter. Although they also had "Soy Sauce Ramen," I was drawn to the "Salt" because it was boldly advertised outside. The "Salt" soup was elegant and had a deep flavor, very delicious. It was an exceptionally well-balanced salt soup. It was refreshing but still had a good richness to it. The noodles were thin straight noodles. I noticed the wooden boxes of "Mikawa-ya Noodles" stacked up at the store. They use noodles from the extremely famous "Mikawa-ya Noodles" in the ramen industry. The thin straight noodles paired well with the refreshing soup. The Yanaka Gyoza had a plump filling in a small-sized dumpling with a chewy skin and juicy filling. It would be a waste not to try these dumplings as well. It was a long time since I had encountered such a refined and delicious ramen. They also had soy sauce and chicken broth ramen, which I'm sure are equally excellent. I'm curious to try them too!

Visited on a Saturday in January 2023 at 14:50. It was a last-minute entry as the lunch hours were until 15:00. Purchased the following at the ticket machine: "Ajitama Wajio Ramen" (950 yen). The clear salt soup with fragrant oil was a nice touch. The straight noodles from Mikawa-ya were good. The beautifully flavored egg had a rich taste. The char siu was grilled, giving it a nice aroma. The Wajio Ramen had a comforting traditional taste with a touch of freshness. Thank you for the meal. [Posted in May 2023] Foodlog Score: 3.64 Number of Reviews: 369

It is located after passing through the nostalgic shopping street of Yanaka from Nippori Station. As it was past lunchtime on a weekday, the restaurant was empty. The interior had a unified Japanese style that matched the name of the restaurant, with a calming BGM creating a harmonious atmosphere. Unlike a popular spicy miso ramen shop in a certain district that always has long lines (social proof), where fast-paced melodies of Japanese instruments like taiko drums and flutes are played, this restaurant had a different vibe. There is no right or wrong between the two atmospheres. As for the menu, I decided to try the large serving of tsukemen on my second ramen stop of the day. The shop serves a salt-based soup, but the dipping sauce was a surprise. It was not salty at all, lacking the sharpness and saltiness you would expect from salt. The color was not white but a brown similar to soy sauce, almost like black tea. This was a taste I had never experienced before, despite visiting many ramen and tsukemen shops. I cannot think of a similar restaurant. The soup is quite sweet, with hints of spices like pepper and yuzu, creating a flavorful but not overwhelming taste. The clear broth has a strong umami flavor from seafood. The noodles, which I believe are from Mikawaya, are medium-thick and flat. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but if I visit Nippori again, I would like to try their ramen next time. Thank you to the staff who kindly asked if I wanted a replacement when I dropped a lotus root petal.

I always see a long line outside this place. Even on weekdays like today, I had to wait. I ordered extra seared chashu and extra noodles, and had a hearty meal. The yuzu flavor was refreshing, and the black shichimi pepper in the salt seasoning was perfect! I've eaten here many times, and it's still delicious!

On a regular day, even as the 5th visitor, I quickly entered the restaurant with a high turnover rate and only about 10 seats. Although their specialty is salt ramen, this time I ordered the limited chicken white broth ramen for 1100 yen. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. The flavor was delicious and refined, not too heavy. The thin noodles paired well with the rich Osayama chicken broth. The chashu was also carefully prepared with 3 varieties, adding an elegant touch to the dish. Thank you for the meal.
