I happened to go to Aqua City in Odaiba for some errands and saw Pomu no Ki, thinking how long it had been since I last visited. I had to go! I ordered the eggplant and mushroom tomato sauce omelette. The taste was just as expected from Pomu no Ki! A reliable deliciousness. Maybe because it was Sunday, the ordering and serving took a bit longer? But overall, no major issues! I would like to come back again.

While wandering around Aqua City in Odaiba looking for a quick dinner, I stumbled upon Pomu no Ki. I was craving omurice, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a size that I thought was normal for a restaurant, but when I received my order, the omurice was much larger than I expected! Despite considering myself a big eater, the M size was more than enough to satisfy me. The taste was as good as I had hoped for.

A satisfying omurice restaurant where you can choose your size from SS to L, with the amount of rice and eggs clearly stated for each size. Today I ordered the Tororo Mentaiko and various mushroom omurice in S size for 1,130 yen, and the Pom Pork Cutlet with Hayashi Sauce omurice in M size for 1,670 yen. The dishes arrived in about 15 minutes. The Tororo Mentaiko was flavorful but a bit lacking in portion, while the Pom Pork Cutlet was generous and delicious with its rich Hayashi sauce. The curry could have been more flavorful, it was a bit mild. I think this kind of place probably serves delicious plain chicken omurice. The miso soup was tasty, with a consomme-like flavor. When I went for lunch, there was no physical menu due to COVID-19 measures, so I had to pay using my smartphone through a QR code. I received a disposable cup of water, a wet wipe, and a disinfectant sheet. I looked at the menu on their website, used a buzzer to call for service, and ordered the Chicken Omurice SS for 1001 yen including tax. It took about 3 minutes to order, and I was served a paper cup of miso soup while waiting. Even though I managed to conquer a nearby Pokémon Gym before my order arrived, it only took 12 minutes. The Chicken Omurice was topped with plenty of ketchup on the rice, and I devoured it in just 3 minutes, just like Ushijima-kun. I enjoyed the flavor of the chicken, but I felt that having some condiments on the table would have been nice. The whole experience, including a cashless payment, took about 20 minutes.

During a visit to Odaiba in 2009-10, I got hungry and decided to try the Beef Stew Omelette Rice with creamy cheese at Pomu no Ki in Aqua City. I ordered the S size as part of their 15th-anniversary set, which cost a little over 1500 yen. The rice was buttery and delicious. Pomu no Ki was celebrating its 15th anniversary, so they offered a salad and drink set for an extra 100 yen. I went with the recommended Beef Stew, which was tasty and the meat was tender. However, I always find the onions a bit too much at Pomu no Ki. Overall, I would rate this meal 3.08 out of 5.

It's been a while since I had the delicious and consistent taste of Pom no Ki. I enjoyed the Mushroom and Spinach Japanese-style soup omelette rice. My friend had the simple omelette rice.

The omurice and Iberico pork steak were delicious.

I ordered the Demi-Glace Sauce Omurice again this time. Although this is a specialty store for Omurice, the Demi-Glace sauce here is really delicious. The sauce is made by simmering vegetables for a long time, and the taste of the vegetables comes out richly in the sauce. It's hard to describe in words how good it is. The Demi-Glace sauce goes well with the Omurice, creating a well-balanced and very tasty dish overall. I would like to come back again when I have the chance.

There are so many omurice options that kids love! I also like omurice haha. It was hard to choose between cheese hayashi or crab cream croquette for the lunch set... I ended up choosing cheese hayashi because I like ketchup rice! The taste is normal.
