On a typical day at 7:00 PM, I went for yakiniku with my colleagues at the spacious and well-known Jojoen restaurant. I left the ordering to my senior, so I'm not exactly sure what we ordered, but here are some of the dishes we had:
- Jojoen salad
- Kimchi assortment
- Grilled salted beef tongue with green onions
- Assorted hormone (offal)
- Pot pickled galbi
The salad was simple but delicious, especially with the tasty dressing. The grilled salted beef tongue was very tender and flavorful. I really enjoy the chewy texture of hormone (offal). The pot pickled galbi was a new experience for me, with vegetables and long slices of meat in a pot that you cut with scissors after grilling. It had a Korean vibe to it!
We also had drinks like makgeolli and Chamisul sour. The food was satisfying overall, but the service was lacking for a high-end restaurant. We often had to remind them for water and the bill, and they weren't very helpful in explaining the menu details.

The meat was tender and delicious, and of course, the staff at the restaurant were all very friendly. We gathered in Tokyo from different regions to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We had young children with us, so we were worried about causing any inconvenience, but the staff were all very kind and accommodating. This meal was the perfect way to end our trip, and it has become a wonderful memory for all of us. We would love to visit again in the future. Thank you for the lovely plate and photos.

First visit to Jojoen at Shinagawa Prince Hotel. While enjoying lively and cheerful yakiniku with friends is great, I really love this kind of atmosphere. Delicious champagne, wine, and leisurely yakiniku make for a wonderful experience. This day we had a pair seat with an empty seat next to us and a bamboo grove in front of us, creating a calm adult atmosphere. The ambiance is excellent! I think any meat you choose here will be good, with each plate being very satisfying. The selection of champagne and wine is limited but reasonably priced and tasty. The only downside might be that on weekends, you may need to make a reservation in advance as it can get quite busy.

It was a long weekend, so Shinagawa area was crowded with people. I almost became a lunch refugee, but luckily I was able to get into Seryna! It's been a while since I've been to Seryna! The service was top-notch as expected! It was a splurge at 3,000 yen for lunch, but it's my husband's birthday! I'm at an age where fatty parts of meat are tough, but it was delicious!

I made a reservation at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel and also booked lunch at "Jojoen Shinagawa Prince Hotel branch". We ordered the Mix Lunch (4000 yen) which comes with kalbi, sirloin, and shrimp. Honestly, the meat was not that impressive. However, the kimchi, namul, and salad were very delicious. The restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere and the service from the staff was top-notch!

Yakiniku lunch ¥3,000
Beef tongue ¥3,600
Harami (skirt steak) ¥3,200
Upper mino (beef stomach) ¥2,200
Yukke (Korean-style beef tartare) ¥2,600
White senmai (beef intestines) ¥1,000, etc...
It was the weekend lunchtime, so the restaurant was fully booked with reservations. I had to wait a bit to eat takoyaki while waiting. Even after eating takoyaki, I still had room for meat.
I used to think that beef tongue was the best at yakiniku, but surprisingly, the upper mino was the best that day. The moment I had a taste, I immediately ordered more. The sauce was incredibly delicious, and if I were to compare, the upper mino at this restaurant wins over any other place.
I already want to go back and eat it again.

When it comes to yakiniku, it's gotta be Jojoen. Yup, Jojoen is definitely my number one choice. I've been to various branches, but for the past three years, I've been going to the Jojoen at Shinagawa Prince Hotel. Whenever I go to Jojoen, I always order the kimchi and the mino. The kimchi is rich and incredibly delicious. The kimchi at Jojoen in Shinjuku Odakyu Halc is the best, but I wonder why the taste of kimchi varies from store to store? It's not a mistake, it really is different. The mino is absolutely delicious. I love it so much that I come to Jojoen just to have it! It's thick, squid-like, with zero odor, and truly delicious. When you come to Jojoen, I highly recommend ordering it. The makgeolli at Jojoen is not sweet, which is good, but it's not the best. However, I still end up ordering it haha. Overall, this time was incredibly delicious and satisfying. Happy! Thank you for the feast.

Yakiniku lunch set for ¥2800 includes extra rice, iced coffee, and almond tofu with mango sauce for dessert. It also comes with salad, kimchi, and namul. The value is great with the drink and dessert included. The taste was satisfying. However, during today's lunch, I was bothered by the constant chatter from the dishwashing area. It was distracting even though it didn't stop. I wonder why the manager or supervisor didn't address it. The background music was also too loud, making it hard to hear. The staff in kimono who served the food seemed rushed, explaining the dishes as they walked away. Normally, I would expect them to finish explaining before leaving. I will continue to visit other branches of this restaurant, but I won't be coming back to this one.

Niku-tsuu says they don't prefer sauce on their grilled meat, but personally, they like both sauced and unsauced grilled meat. They really enjoy the calming atmosphere at Jojoen. While there are other restaurants with good meat quality, quantity, and prices, they appreciate the unique relaxing ambiance at Jojoen. They also like that the aprons are made of cloth. Ultimately, they love Jojoen. They also appreciate that there are usually some empty seats even during busy times. When they come to Jojoen, they always order the assorted tongue or the grilled tongue with green onions. It's delicious.

I visited Seryna for the first time in my life. I made a reservation for lunch on my day off. I added shrimp and tongue as additional items to the lunch set. It was delicious and the restaurant had a luxurious atmosphere with polite service. I would definitely like to visit again.

We made a reservation in advance and visited with our family. We ordered the usual items like kalbi, loin, harami, and negi-tan yaki. The negi-tan yaki is folded in half with negi wrapped around it to prevent the negi from falling off, making it easier to eat. The combination of flavorful negi and tender tan is exquisite. Just one bite brought a sense of happiness. The spacious environment allowed us to relax at our table, and of course, the meat was delicious and satisfying.

I occasionally visit Jojoen. Although I don't go to Yuugen-Tei often, I still feel like going there on special occasions. This time, at the request of overseas guests, we dined at a restaurant located within the hotel where they were staying. The restaurant did not have private rooms, but the seats were subtly partitioned, creating a setting where you don't have to worry too much about your surroundings. We ordered a platter of kalbi, loin, harami, tongue, hormone, along with salad, kimchi, soup, and more. It was truly authentic yakiniku that met all our expectations. There are many unique yakiniku restaurants out there, offering rare meats and different experiences. However, I realized once again that this place is one where ordinary people can truly enjoy the essence of yakiniku on limited occasions, with its delicious flavors and excellent service. Thank you for the meal.

Having yakiniku for lunch makes you want to drink, right? Once you start drinking, you can't stop, right? It's okay to finish a whole bottle of wine by yourself! And so, we had a delicious and enjoyable meal. Thank you, Jojoen. I will definitely go back for lunch drinks again!

I went to lunch without a reservation on a regular day. I splurged and added harami to the special lunch. The service is really good. They put namul and other toppings on the rice, and you eat it like bibimbap. The meat is delicious, but maybe the non-special meat would have been better. Since it's lunch, I want to choose lighter meat next time. It's an easy place to go even alone.

I had my first yakiniku lunch at the Shinagawa branch of Jojoen. It cost 3,000 yen including a namul assortment, wakame soup, kimchi, processed meat (made from pork belly, similar to galbi?), shrimp, rice, salad, drink, and dessert set. The salad was tasty but salty. The kimchi wasn't to my liking but not bad. The wakame soup was delicious. The namul assortment was decent to tasty. The grilled shrimp was delicious. The meat was average. It wasn't bad, but I didn't feel it was worth the 3,000 yen lunch price. The dessert was almond pudding with a jam-like dragon fruit topping, which was tasty. The portion size was average. The appeal lies in the variety of items included in the set menu, as well as the spacious and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. If you're looking for quality meat, you might want to opt for a more expensive course (around 6,000 yen for lunch). If you want to enjoy a yakiniku lunch in a relaxed environment without being surrounded by smoke, this place is worth a visit.

The food is delicious. The service is good. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also nice. I ended up eating too much. The tongue salt sampler and the kalbi sampler were enjoyable and felt like a good deal. #Jojoen #ShinagawaPrinceHotel #Meat #Yakiniku #MeatLover #TongueSaltSampler #KalbiSampler #Harami #AlmondPudding #TokyoGourmet #TokyoLunch #ShinagawaGourmet #ShinagawaLunch

I had high expectations because it's a famous restaurant. It's located inside the Prince Hotel, so the location is great. Since it was lunchtime, I chose from the lunch menu. The portion size was okay, but the main meat dish was just average. I felt like it was enough.

I used it for lunch! I had heard about it, but the cost performance of Seryna lunch is good (*^^*) The meat is really delicious! The kimchi, namul, and soup are also delicious! I thought the portion might be small, but it was enough! The atmosphere is nice too, I want to go again.

Shinjuku Gyoen is located inside Shinagawa Prince Hotel and it was my first time visiting. The restaurant was spacious and clean, and I had a satisfying lunch. The staff were polite and I had a hard time choosing between the hot pot and the yakiniku set, but I ended up ordering the yakiniku set. It was delicious! The kimchi was slightly sweet and tasty. I am satisfied! :)

A friend made a reservation for lunch at Seryna where we had yakiniku. The meal came with salad, namul, rice, and wakame soup served alongside the meat. Each person had their own tongs, making it easy to cook the meat. The sauce was thick and sweet, different from what is usually sold, and very delicious. Two types of gochujang were also provided, with the spicy one being tasty as well. The amount of meat was satisfying, and the shrimp was firm and delicious. The rice was so good that even a large portion could be eaten. For dessert, we had almond jelly and hot coffee which were both enjoyable.
