When I had a reason to use JR, I left home a little early and visited this ramen shop located inside the upper station building. It is a ramen shop operated by the vegan restaurant "T's Restaurant" in Jiyugaoka, highly recommended by a vegan acquaintance, so I decided to try it out. I myself am a vegetarian, so I don't often eat ramen outside, and I was excited for this rare ramen experience! The clean interior feels like a cafe, and the spacing allows you to eat at your own pace without feeling rushed. On my first visit, I had the "White Sesame Tan Tan Men," and on my second visit, I tried the "Cilantro and Vegan Cheese Tomato Tan Tan Men." The White Sesame Tan Tan Men had a rich soup and crunchy vegetables, and the Cilantro and Vegan Cheese Tomato Tan Tan Men had a slightly spicy soup with an exotic touch. I enjoyed every last drop of the soup, which was made with carefully selected ingredients. You wouldn't even know it was "animal product-free" in terms of taste. I think it's a ramen shop that I can recommend to non-vegetarian/vegan people as well. They also have dumplings, so I would like to try those next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

There is a vegan specialty tantanmen restaurant inside Ueno Station. I had never tried vegan food before, so I decided to give it a try. The interior of the restaurant was clean and they also catered to foreign customers. Interestingly, all the customers there happened to be foreigners. I ordered the Kin Goma Tantanmen with mixed grain rice and vegetable dumplings set. I honestly thought it would be bland and unsatisfying. However, when the dish arrived, it looked appetizing. When I took the first bite, I was surprised by the rich flavor. The combination of vegetables and sesame worked well together. The noodles were also perfectly cooked. It felt like a regular tantanmen with an added kick of sesame and a cafe-style twist. The dumplings were small and I could have eaten more of them. Despite being refreshing, the meal was satisfying and I left feeling full. This experience shattered my preconceived notions about vegan food. Thank you for the meal.

This summer limited item is probably ending within the month, although I forgot to ask. I forgot to ask for extra spiciness, but it was delicious as always. I added vinegar halfway through and finished it all. The lady at the register is always slow and apologizes a lot, but I paid with PayPay this time and the receipt took a while to come out, so I just left with a "Is it okay like this?" kind of feeling. Well, it's just a small quirk.

I visited T's Tan Tan at Eki Ueno store on this day. I ordered the Tan Tan Ramen for 980 yen including tax. It does not contain animal protein, and it is called Vegan Tan Tan Ramen. It had more satisfying taste than I expected and was delicious. I wouldn't have noticed that it didn't contain animal protein if I hadn't been told. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After visiting the art museum, I found the cafe attached to the museum and the Taimenken in Ecute Ueno both had long lines even though it was past 2 pm. I didn't know there was a Tantan in Ueno, but it was surprisingly not crowded, so I decided to go in. It was hot outside and inside the station, so I quickly chose cold noodles. I also ordered dumplings. Lately, I've been feeling guilty about consuming too many calories, so I tried the konjac noodles. The konjac noodles were okay. The broth was rich with plenty of black sesame flavor, but it was a bit too intense. I thought it would have been better with some rice on the side. I realized later that I was planning to have a heavy rice meal afterwards, so this late lunch was just a light snack. The seating mostly consisted of single seats, so it didn't feel like a place to linger. The price was 1600 yen. I didn't know it was a set price even without rice, so I wish they had informed me. It's a bit pricey and not great value for money.

In Ueno Station, there is a shop where you can eat vegan ramen! I ordered the soupless tantan noodles (made with konjac noodles) and dumplings! The peanut miso broth is rich and delicious! It comes topped with cilantro, which is a nice touch. I didn't get full, but it was satisfying.

I went to Ueno after work for a change of pace. I indulged a bit yesterday, so I wanted to be a bit more restrained today. I walked through Ueno Station, and came across this restaurant. It was hot, and I was craving noodles, but regular ramen can be heavy. I checked the menu and found that they offered a healthier option. I decided to try the recommended "Sesame Tan Tan Noodles" (1100 yen) but opted for the "Konjac Noodles" (100 yen) instead. This simple change reduced the calorie count from 710kcal to 387kcal! The "Yuzu Vegetable Ramen" was even lower at 99kcal when made with konjac noodles. I was torn between the two, but I prioritized satiety and went with the "Sesame Tan Tan Noodles". The konjac noodles had a distinct texture, and knowing they were low in calories made me enjoy them guilt-free. This vegan ramen, made without any animal products, was flavorful and easy to finish till the last drop. It's a great choice when you want to watch your calorie intake.

Ordered the summer vegetable black sesame tantan noodles with gyoza set. The vegan ramen is made entirely of vegetables without any animal products. Located inside Ueno station, it was a bit crowded around lunchtime, but we waited a little and then entered. The station was like a steam bath, making us sweat. The ramen arrived quickly after ordering. It had a refreshing taste with just the right amount of spiciness from the 8 types of vegetables. Delicious! I tried it out of curiosity, but I was very satisfied. Lastly, I mixed the rice and soup together and added vinegar for a flavor change, which was also very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Seasonal limited chilled sesame tantan noodles with summer vegetables such as eggplant and bitter melon. It's hot, so I tried the chilled tantan noodles. The interior of the restaurant has a cafe-like atmosphere, but the display counter in front of the curved counter could use a little tidying up. There are several plastic dividers lined up, probably struggling to find a place to put them. Despite the good interior and service, the entrance and the area near the entrance give a wasted impression. With a little touch-up, it could become more stylish and attract more female customers. The black sesame sauce splattered on my white blouse... When I was trying to remove the stain, the staff brought me a clean white cloth saying, "Would you like to use this?" It was much appreciated! At the time of payment, they mentioned about the apron, but they forgot to give it to me first. I was impressed by their honesty. The seasonal limited chilled tantan noodles set for an additional 300 yen was 1500 yen. It was enough to fill me up with just the set! I'll try not to be too greedy next time. Thank you for the meal!

I had the sesame tantan noodles at this restaurant, and it was satisfying in terms of taste and texture. Despite any guilt about eating, they offer dishes with restrictions (such as no meat) that are still delicious. The location is convenient, making it a great choice for a relaxed dinner when you have a bit of time to spare, like when transferring trains. I found it perfect for those times when you want to enjoy something tasty with minimal stress on your body. This place is a good option in Ueno for a late meal without feeling guilty.

After a concert in Ueno that ended around 8:30 pm, I wanted to have a relatively light meal and avoid long lines, so I decided to try this restaurant located in the station. I found out that they serve vegan dan dan noodles when I looked at the menu. I chose the summer menu item "Chilled Sesame Tan Tan Noodles with Summer Vegetables," which was refreshing and quite delicious. I ended up ordering a beer as well, so much for being healthy. This restaurant may be a bit unconventional compared to the mainstream ramen and tsukemen shops, but I really like it. Additionally, I heard that by opting for the konjac noodles (+100 yen), you can reduce the calorie intake by 320 kcal, which made me consider ordering extra rice and using the leftover spicy soup. It would be interesting to try these konjac noodles. However, it's a bit disappointing that adding originality to the dish comes with a significant increase in price. It would be nice if they offered seasonal options or services to enhance the experience.

It's a famous restaurant that makes you want to eat there every day. Today, I had the summer limited chilled black sesame tantan noodles and dumplings set for 1,500 yen. I ordered it with extra spiciness, but it's still not enough. It's delicious, but I added vinegar as I ate and when I finished the noodles, I added the leftover rice. Mix it all together and it's delicious! I'm happy that there's now a line forming at the restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

【Business Trip Lunch】With a passenger count of 120,000, the variety of gourmet options within the station premises is wide! The name of this shop is T’s Tantan, originating from Jiyugaoka, specializing in vegetarian and vegan cuisine with a focus on tantan noodles. Upon entering the shop, the stylish cafe-like interior was almost full during lunchtime, mostly with female customers. This time, I tried the seasonal limited edition Setouchi lemon cold ramen set for 1400 yen, which included lemon-scented mixed rice, homemade strawberry sauce tofu yogurt. The lemon cold ramen was light and refreshing, reminiscent of cold noodles, with the added texture of boiled bean sprouts. In one word, it was exhilarating! The lemon-scented mixed rice with chickpeas had a delightful texture and a subtle, elegant lemon aroma. The homemade strawberry sauce tofu yogurt served as a palate cleanser was also delicious. The limited edition Lemon Ramen for summer has already started. It's my favorite among all the options at T's. First, I sip the chilled soup. The acidity of the lemon is amazing! Then, I enjoy biting into the lemon peel while eating the noodles, bean sprouts, and other toppings. Delicious! The set meal with rice is as good as ever, and the tofu yogurt with strawberry jam provides a refreshing acidity to cleanse the palate. I always crave this when it gets hot. Thank you for the meal!

Located inside Ueno Station, this ramen shop is convenient for those looking for a quick meal in the station. The ramen here is advertised as vegan, attracting a lot of foreign customers. The Golden Sesame Tantan Men priced at 1100 yen is a standout dish, with a peanut cream that adds richness to the soup. The colorful presentation with green bean sprouts, red daikon, and yellow peanut cream is visually appealing. The "meat" topping is actually a soy-based substitute that is quite convincing. Overall, the ramen feels like a new genre of noodle dish and is definitely worth a repeat visit. The White Sesame Tantan Men is priced at 980 yen, while the Golden Sesame Tantan Men at 1100 yen may seem a bit pricey for ramen, but the unique peanut cream topping makes it worth the price. I also tried the Black Sesame Tantan Men, which is spicier with a strong Hoa Jiao flavor. It is also delicious.

Domestically produced dried seaweed and spring vegetable tanmen for 1,100 yen. A vegetarian menu that does not use any animal products is the concept. I wanted to eat at Tokyo Station, but there was a long line of foreigners. I had it at Ueno, and strongly felt the resumption of inbound tourism. Ramen that caters to various dietary needs like vegan or gluten-free can sometimes be lacking or have a strange taste, but this place aims to create delicious ramen without any peculiarities. The broth, made with plenty of ingredients like shiitake mushrooms, kombu, and daikon, was well-balanced and delicious. The sautéed spring vegetables were also tasty, making it a satisfying bowl of ramen.

Today, I came to Ueno to listen to a koto concert. Before that, I had lunch at "T‘s tantan Ekimae Ueno" inside Ueno station, and I tried the Kin Goma tantan noodles for 1100 yen. Sometimes it's nice to have a vegan ramen without feeling guilty! Oh, it was delicious! There were other restaurants I wanted to try, but they were all crowded due to the cherry blossom season. I actually didn't know about this place, but it turns out to be a vegan ramen restaurant. They don't use meat or animal products, only vegetables, but when you eat it, it tastes like regular tantan noodles with a good amount of spiciness and sesame flavor. It wasn't greasy, and I could eat plenty of vegetables without any guilt. The noodles were thin and straight, slightly soft, but within an acceptable range. The minced meat-looking ingredient was soy meat. When mixed with the miso paste and slurped together, it was quite satisfying. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and it was a comfortable experience. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the Tan Tan Men for 1,100 yen at the ramen restaurant Kin Goma inside Ueno Station. The restaurant offers a completely vegan menu, so there is a high percentage of foreign customers. The interior of the restaurant is stylish, like a cafe. The taste of the Tan Tan Men lacks the richness I expected, so it may feel a bit unsatisfying. However, if you consider it healthy, it could be seen in a more positive light.

I love the T's series wherever I go. The locations in Ueno and Ikebukuro are convenient, so I often visit them. This time, I tried the limited edition dish with a large serving set. I always thought the only downside was that the ramen was lukewarm, but when I asked if it could be served hot, they said yes! I can't believe I didn't know this before. However, the noodles, which are already stretchy, became even more so with the large serving, so towards the end, they became a bit soft. I hope more people try this vegan ramen that is kind to the body, animals, and the earth.

Before going on a tour of Tobikan, I slurped down a vegan ramen at Ecute Ueno (inside the station) in just 20 minutes. Normally, I wouldn't choose vegan ramen, but I had just finished a dance lesson and wanted to replenish my body with something nutritious, and since I didn't have much time during lunchtime and there was hardly any waiting, I decided to give it a try. It was my first visit, so I ordered the default white sesame tantan flavor. And it was delicious!! The meat miso, which shouldn't contain meat, had no typical vegan taste, and the sweetness of the vegetables and the flavor of white sesame made the tantan noodles rich and satisfying. Despite the fact that it was not heavy, either due to the lack of oil or animal products, I finished all the soup. I chose regular wheat noodles, but you can also change to konjac noodles. I knew there was a restaurant in Jiyugaoka relatively close by, but I had never been there. I even looked up the company profile out of curiosity, and it seems to be related to the Jangara restaurant. Perhaps it's part of their expansion plan when they created the ramen brand. The staff at the restaurant were efficient and kind, which I appreciated. I will consider it as an option for dining alone in Jiyugaoka.
