I've been interested in this restaurant for a while now. The interior is like a bar with a bar counter and a basement, where you can mainly drink alcohol. They carefully prepare thick slices of pork right in front of you. It's a bit pricey, but the taste is excellent and highly recommended. I arrived at 11:50, 20 minutes after the 11:30 opening time, and luckily there were still seats at the counter available. I didn't hesitate and ordered the large serving of pork bowl. As more customers arrived, I was guided downstairs to maintain social distancing. The basement quickly filled up, and the staff seemed overwhelmed with the increasing number of customers. The pork slices were incredibly thick and well-cooked, but the service was a bit slow due to the high demand. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be served. The pork was delicious, especially the belly part which I prefer over the loin. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the meat was tender and absolutely delicious. However, the pace of service meant that customers who came in after me had to wait 30 minutes to an hour for their orders. Overall, it was a great meal. Thank you.

The shocking price of less than 4000 yen with all-you-can-drink course, a place where smoking is allowed, which is appreciated by smokers. The pork bowl that comes at the end of the course is the best dish with both appearance and taste. The pork and sauce match perfectly, and you can still eat it even when you are full!

I visited the restaurant that I saw on the "Solo Gourmet" channel on TikTok, where you can enjoy delicious pork bowls in Tokyo. I made a reservation in advance using the Tabelog app. I was able to make a reservation for one person during lunchtime. I also used up my Tabelog-exclusive T-points, which was satisfying. I arrived at the restaurant at 1:19 PM. Although my reservation was for 1:30 PM, I was seated immediately. I ordered the "Tokachi Kamikomi Pork Genuine Pork Bowl" in size "large" (240g of meat, 350g of rice) for 1480 yen, and a "lunch beer" for 400 yen. I chose the "half and half" option for the meat (pork belly and loin). The table had pepper, sansho (Japanese pepper), and shichimi (seven-flavor chili pepper) as condiments. The shichimi was in a cute container shaped like a pig. There was also a jar with sauce and pickles. The beer arrived 5 minutes after ordering, and it was delicious! Two minutes later, a salad was served, consisting of sunny lettuce and mizuna with shiso dressing. The pork bowl arrived 12 minutes after ordering, and it looked impressive with plenty of meat. The pork was tender, and the presentation was great with the lid of the bowl not closing due to the generous amount of meat. The rice, however, was a bit disappointing as it was small and slightly mushy. Despite not feeling too large at first, the "large" pork bowl ended up being quite filling. I paid using PayPay on my way out. Thank you for the meal.

After the typhoon passed on Sunday, I decided to eat out because cooking seemed like too much trouble. I wanted to eat some meat, so I went to this restaurant. It was a 30-minute walk from my house, which was a good exercise to work up an appetite. I had made a reservation and visited around noon. The counter on the first floor was about 80% full, so I was seated at the reserved table downstairs. The tables were nicely spaced out, and the atmosphere was cozy with jazz music playing in the background. I ordered the basic pork bowl with extra salted cabbage topping and a beer. It was amazing. I ordered a half-and-half of pork loin and belly, both of which were tender and full of flavor. They paired perfectly with the beer. The miso soup was not the typical pork miso soup, but a regular one, which I found surprisingly good. I definitely want to come back next time to try their limited-time shabu-shabu.

Today's lunch! Had a long-awaited meal at Tokachi Butadon Porkkun in Okachimachi, with a half-and-half serving of Tokachi Butadon with both loin and belly cuts! Since I don't have a stomach due to stomach cancer, I sadly had to settle for a smaller portion with half the rice, but the tender and fatty pork grilled over charcoal was still delicious! I topped it off with salted cabbage, half-boiled egg, and raw egg, which all complemented the rice and meat perfectly. I visited the restaurant around 11:50 am on Thursday, and was able to sit at the counter seat on the 1st floor right away with one other customer already there. However, after 12 pm, more customers started coming in, and by around 12:15 pm, the 1st floor counter seats were full and I was guided to the B1 floor. It seems like there are many people working nearby. This time, I ordered the real pork bowl with Tokachi Kamikomi pork (regular size) and added a soft-boiled egg on top. You can choose between pork belly or loin, and as a fan of fatty meat, I naturally chose pork belly. The thick pork belly was carefully grilled over charcoal, tender, juicy, sweet, and very delicious. The rich sauce is also unlimited, but adding the soft-boiled egg gave it a mild flavor and created a perfect taste. As a pork lover, this is a restaurant I would like to visit again.

The meat is deliciously thick, tender, and fragrant, and the sauce is rich and satisfying. The portion size is just right, leaving you comfortably full at about 90% satisfaction. Arrived around 11:45 on a weekday with the restaurant about 40% full. Received the bowl at 12:02.

I feel like having shabu-shabu. I searched for a place with high ratings that still had reservations available, and I found one. It was surprisingly empty during the Obon season. The seating was spacious and comfortable. The appetizers were delicious, not just the shabu-shabu. I chose the garlic and leek broth for the shabu-shabu, which was amazing. The balsamic vinegar sauce is recommended. In addition to pork, they also had lamb and deer meat, so I ended up ordering everything. There was no gamey taste, and everything was easy to eat. I will definitely be coming back.

I had always been curious about "Tokachi Dining Buttsuku" which I saw a sign for while walking along a back street from Yushima Station on the Chiyoda Line towards Okachimachi. Right there is JR Okachimachi Station, located in Taito Ward. I tried the "Tokachi Kamikomi Buta Authentic Butadon (regular) for 1,080 yen". You can choose between "pork belly" or "pork loin" for the type of pork. It was a tough decision, but then I discovered the "Half & Half" option which allows you to enjoy both. The price is the same. The authentic butadon (regular) arrived with a lid. The pork meat is overflowing from around the lid. When you open the lid, beautifully arranged pork meat surrounds the bowl. At first glance, it's hard to tell which is the pork belly and which is the pork loin. The sliced steak-like meat is the pork loin. It has quite a thickness. Despite the thickness, it is tender and delicious. The aroma of charcoal grilling and the sweet and savory sauce are simply delightful. The pork belly is juicy. When you chew, the sweetness of the pork fat starts to seep out. The pork belly seems to allow you to fully enjoy the flavor of the pork. But the pork loin is also refreshing and elegant in taste. It was great to be able to compare and enjoy both with the Half & Half option. Both types of meat were equally delicious!

I had the sliced green onion pork bowl. I was tempted by the garlic pork bowl, but I have a meeting with a client so I held back. It had a lot of green onions, so I recommend it for green onion lovers. As usual, I chose the half-and-half meat option, but the loin was just okay, lacking a bit of excitement. Next time, I might go for all belly. It seems like the price went up a bit, but it's business, so it's only natural to raise it to a profitable level. If the taste has decreased, then that's disappointing.

In the evening, the restaurant opens at 5:00 PM, and I arrived around 5:15 PM. The counter seats were empty, which was nice. I heard from a friend that the pork bowl was delicious, so I tried it! When the dish arrived, it smelled so good that I couldn't take a good picture. The first bite was amazing - the pork was cooked perfectly with a sweet and savory sauce, and it was delicious! I was full after the regular size. I topped it off with a beer and felt happy. It seems like you can eat a bit cheaper for lunch, and it's crowded with office workers. Also, the honey lemon sour was delicious. If I have the chance to go back to Tokyo, I would like to visit again. ^^

This time, I ordered a half-and-half of roast and pork belly since I had the pork belly last time. I also added salted cabbage and egg toppings. It's still a generous portion, but delicious. I added extra sauce to my liking. The salted cabbage was also good. I want to try the regular size next time, but I might end up getting the large again.

First visit. Ordered the large pork bowl with a hot spring egg. You can choose half and half with belly and loin, but I ordered with belly. The meat was tender and delicious! The sauce can be added by yourself, and it seemed a bit thin so I added more sauce. It was a large portion, so I was full. Next time, I might try the half and half pork bowl.

The reason why the dish "Buta no Hako-mabushi" was created is because the pork industry was thriving in the Tokachi region since the Meiji era, making pork meat easily accessible. As for the origin of the dish "Hako-mabushi," it was born out of the necessity to deliver eel rice bowls in unbroken containers, hence the name "mabushi" which means to mix in a box. The dish consists of grilled pork on a large net, marinated in a sweet sauce and charcoal-grilled, with a thick cut of meat. Pouring tea over the dish washes away the sauce, revealing the original flavors of the meat, which can be enhanced by adding wasabi, sesame, and seaweed. Sprinkling with sansho pepper changes the taste completely. Overall, the dish leaves one feeling full and satisfied.

I entered the restaurant around 7:10 pm on Sunday. There was only one customer on the first floor, but it seemed busy downstairs with a party. They have counter seats here, so it's comfortable for solo diners. I ordered the Tokachi Obihiro authentic pork bowl (large) with a mix of belly and loin. It was delicious! Both were tasty, but I preferred the loin. They provide the sauce separately, so you can add your desired amount. I don't like my food too saucy, so this was great. It's flavorful and delicious! By the way, I had been here five years ago but didn't remember at all. I will definitely come back.

Visited before 2 PM on Sunday. There were about 3 groups of customers at the counter. Ordered a large pork bowl, half & half, and less rice. Served in less than 10 minutes. The kitchen was cooking, but not smoky. The taste felt bland, so added more sauce from the table. The rice was soft. Average service.

Today, I had work in Okachimachi, so I decided to try the famous Tokachi pork dish at Butagku-san that I had been curious about for a while. I was torn between the specialty pork bowl and the hitsumabushi, but I chose hitsumabushi with a topping of onsen tamago. It was so delicious! I couldn't help but finish it all before reaching the broth. There were additional sauce and pickles on the table, allowing me to enjoy different flavors with shichimi and sansho. When there was only a little left, I mixed all the condiments and poured the broth over it... the wasabi really hit me hard! I think I prefer the pork bowl with just pork belly. I will definitely visit again.

This time, I tried "Garlic Soy Sauce Pork Bowl" for the first time. It comes with a soft-boiled egg on top. The garlic flavor is definitely noticeable and not bad, but personally, I found it a bit light and unsatisfying. When I tried pouring the sauce provided in the pot on the table, it got closer to the taste of the "usual" pork bowl, and I realized that the classic pork bowl flavor is the best.

I had a course with all-you-can-drink option that ended with a pork bowl. It was a feast of pork dishes! The "Japanese pork tongue carpaccio" in the middle of the course was particularly impressive due to its uniqueness. Of course, the pork bowl at the end was juicy and delicious!
