I ordered the regular size tori oil ramen and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and provided great service. The broth was rich and tasty, so I might go for the large size next time. The app service was also interesting, so I definitely want to come back!

Bird and pork oil soba special large serving 370g for 1,080 yen. Ordered the most popular item, which was supposed to be regular size 300g but got a large serving for the same price. Ate until about 80% full. It had a soy sauce flavor, with more soup than usual for an oil soba. It tasted even better with added chili oil and garlic, which I learned from the person next to me. The soup was deliciously rich. Arrived on a Saturday at 9:08 PM and had to wait for 3 people ahead of me. It's popular even at this time. Arrived at 9:28 PM.

I visited Tonkotsu Black Oil Ramen for lunch. It used to have long lines, but it was empty this time. I chose the black pork bone ramen. The medium-thick noodles were topped with creamy back fat, and I think there was chili oil on top. I mixed it all together and ate it, but the flavor was mild. It was on the lighter side. I added flavor using the chili oil, vinegar, and soy sauce on the table. In the current trend of rich and flavorful ramen, this light oil ramen felt unique. I wanted a sauce with more punch.

◒ Kasuga-teu 春日亭 ◒ ▪️Located 4 minutes from Ikebukuro Station ▪️I am new to the opera scene in Tokyo, but decided to try this place since there was a line at 9 pm. It did not disappoint, with its fragrant chicken and pork oil base. I also added the Sakura prawn chili sauce for an extra ¥200. I highly recommend trying their mayonnaise combo. ▪️Address: 1 Chome-5-4 Nishiikebukuro, Toshima City, Tokyo 171-0021, Japan ▪️Opening hours: 11:00-23:00, Average cost: ¥1000 ▪️#TokyoGourmet #FoodFillingTokyo #TokyoDelicacies #IkebukuroGourmet @aburasoba_kasugatei

I came to Ikebukuro for a health check-up and decided to have lunch at a ramen restaurant, so I searched and found this place. I ordered the seared chicken and pork oil ramen (regular size) for 950 yen. I suddenly felt like eating oil ramen, so I chose this restaurant. I usually can't tell much difference in the taste of oil ramen, but this one wasn't as rich as it looked and was delicious.

It is located south of the art theater. I had the chicken and pork oil soba. When I saw the amount of oil in the photo, I thought it was a lot, but when I tried it, it wasn't as heavy as I expected, and I was able to finish it surprisingly. The recommended way to eat it is with 2 rounds of vinegar and 2 rounds of chili oil, but I found it tastier with about 3 rounds of each.

When it comes to Abura Soba, I love Kasugatei so much. This time, I went for the Tori Buta Abura Soba in a large serving! I was worried that I might get tired of it halfway through, but with the variety of condiments on the table, I was able to change up the flavors and didn't get bored until the end. I also enjoyed the pre-meal soup and soup-wari (diluting the remaining sauce with soup) options, which made both before and after the meal enjoyable. I love it so much that I even buy it online, but eating at the restaurant is the best. I'm sorry for the lack of a photo; I was so eager to eat that I mixed it before taking one. The staff's service is also good, making it a comfortable and recommended place. Thank you for the meal.

A few steps from the west exit is a ramen shop specializing in oil noodles. At first glance, the oil seems a bit overwhelming in the photo, but as you eat, it's not as heavy as it looks. I'm not very used to eating oil noodles, but it was decent and nothing too special.

First visit to this chain restaurant. They serve a strong oil-based ramen. The portion size was quite large. But somehow, I didn't really like it... It was too thick and gooey? The flavor was monotonous and just okay. I couldn't help but think it was average. I wonder if they put effort into the pork on top...

Today's post is about "Abura Soba Kasugatei Shibuya branch" that I visited during my previous trip to Tokyo. Kasugatei is a chain of abura soba specialty restaurants mainly located in the Kanto region. Despite looking very rich, it is surprisingly easy to eat! There is a branch in Nihonbashi in Osaka, so I would love to visit there as well. The main branch is in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, so be sure to check it out! The Shibuya branch is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Shibuya Station on the Inokashira Line. If you live in the Kanto region, definitely give it a try! #gourmet #connectwithgourmetlovers #gourmetstagram #gourmet #connectwithgourmetlovers #gourmetstagram #connectwithgourmetlovers #tokyogourmet #Kasugatei #KasugateiAburaSoba #KasugateiShibuyaBranch #AburaSoba #connectwithaburasobalovers #ramen #connectwithramenlovers #rameninstagrammer #followme #tokyogourmet

The shop specializes in chicken and pork oil soba with generous toppings, but you need to come hungry as the portions are large. There are always customers, mostly salarymen who seem like they can eat a lot. There are few female customers. I wonder if I have the courage to go in alone.

This is a unique maze soba with a rich soup base made from chicken and pork bones that is satisfying to eat. It's rich but not overly porky, and has a refreshing aftertaste. It's quite unique, so sometimes I suddenly crave it and end up going there. The photo is of the chicken and pork oil soba with extra vegetables using a coupon. The ginger-flavored appetizer soup enhances the mood, and when the noodles are gone, you can ask for extra soup to dilute it, order rice to soak it up, or enjoy it from start to finish. No disappointments!

The noodles can vary in firmness and taste depending on who makes them, but they are always delicious. Unlike other oil noodle shops, here you can enjoy plenty of free toppings without having to pay extra for mayonnaise. The staff at the Ikebukuro main store are particularly friendly compared to other branches. The COVID-19 prevention campaign is wonderful.

I ordered the "Chicken and Pork Oil Soba" which was labeled as the most popular dish. The soup is made from boiled chicken bones and pork bones. When you mix it all together and eat it as it is, it tastes quite mild, not as strong as I expected. Adding vinegar, chili oil, and garlic enhances the flavor explosion. The noodles are especially delicious, thick and chewy, adding a high level of flavor to the seasoning. Lastly, the ginger-infused soup at the end leaves a refreshing finish. It's a good oil soba that goes down smoothly.

Chicken and pork oil soba (large) ¥890 I had some leftover alcohol from yesterday, so I came here to get some oil and carbs to help me fight the hangover. The large serving (2x) was too much for me. I thought I could handle it when I ordered the large serving, but halfway through, I regretted it and wished I could switch back to a regular serving. It was a battle with the food before battling the alcohol, that's the story.

I hadn't been to Ikebukuro Kasugatei in a long time. There are many famous shops for abura soba, but this is one of them. Even though it's past lunchtime, there is a line. I usually don't like waiting in line, but I decided to wait this time after a long time. I ordered the most popular dish, Tori Buta Abura Soba. It had a great impact. It arrived shortly after ordering. I mixed it well. First, I tried it as it is. The noodles are delicious. The taste is milder than it looks, but the amount of oil is impressive. However, it's not as good as I expected. After eating a little bit, I added chili oil and vinegar. I really wanted to add garlic, but I had to give up due to work. Customizing and eating like this is the fun of abura soba. I really wished I could have added garlic. I'll go try a different type of abura soba next time.

The popular chain store specializing in oil soba, with many locations in Tokyo. Finally visited the Ikebukuro main store. It's a typical chain store, for better or for worse. If this is the standard taste here, I might not come back. I might visit if there are no other famous stores in other areas.

I came to Ikebukuro to have oil soba for the first time in a while. The place I was looking for is Kasugatei @ Ikebukuro. I can't remember the last time I came here, it was so long ago. I visited at 3 pm, and surprisingly it was crowded. Luckily, there was one empty seat at the counter. The counter was being managed by one person, so the service was a bit slow. After waiting for more than 10 minutes, the dish finally arrived. I ordered Chicken and Pork Oil Soba for 690 yen plus a seasoned egg for 100 yen. I mixed it well from the bottom first. The temperature of the dish was warm, not hot, which was a bit disappointing. But the taste was delicious and satisfying. The noodles were thick, slightly curly, and firm, with a chewy texture that paired well with the chicken and pork fat and sauce. The seasoned egg was also tasty. Overall, I enjoyed the meal despite the minor inconvenience with the temperature of the dish.

I suddenly felt like eating abura soba, so I went to Kasugatei in Ikebukuro. There are various abura soba shops in Ikebukuro, but this was the first time I tried one with a thick layer of fat on top. It was a chicken and pork fat-rich abura soba, but it didn't feel heavy and was easy to eat. It was delicious.

On January 17, 2021 (Sunday), I took a friend who had never been to Kasugatei before. It had been 10 months since my last visit. I spotted "Tonkotsu Black Oil Ramen" on the menu! So, we ordered Tonkotsu Black Oil Ramen for 880 yen and an extra seasoned egg for 120 yen. They say the secret black oil is cooked for 8 hours. It was delicious! It's junk food, but delicious!
