This is a non-rotating sushi restaurant where you can eat from 7am and early in the morning. I know that the breakfast sushi set or miso soup set is a good deal, but I decided to go for the tuna three-piece set. It may not be a lot in terms of volume, but being able to enjoy the tuna was really great.

After work, I quickly stopped by a standing sushi bar and had about 20 pieces of sushi, a beer, and miso soup with shrimp. It was very satisfying and delicious. I enjoy going to standing bars alone, but standing sushi bars are also great! Today I went with someone, but next time I think I'll go alone. Thank you for the meal!

This is a standing sushi restaurant located in Ecute South at Shinagawa Station. I stopped by before catching the bullet train after finishing work. Standing sushi is great for a quick lunch during the day and perfect for a casual drink after work in the evening. They offer sushi plates with two pieces each, as well as more luxurious single-piece options and sushi rolls. They also have a set called "Choi Nomi Set" from 2 pm to 7 pm, which includes four pieces of sushi, tamago, and a drink for only 1,100 yen. I tried some tuna, enagawa, and ikura with a beer this time, and it was a blissful moment to enjoy sushi with a beer after work. I wanted to try more varieties, but I had to catch my bullet train soon, so I left the restaurant. If you want to enjoy sushi quickly and affordably, this is the place to go. Thank you for the meal.

The Tokaido Shinkansen was suspended, so I used the long wait time to eat sushi at the best fish market in Japan. It's been a while since I had sushi without alcohol, but it was delicious. The lunch set for 1,100 yen is a great deal. Hopefully the Shinkansen will resume soon.

While looking for a light lunch inside the station, I found a fun restaurant! It was my first time trying standing sushi. It was a little after 10 in the morning, but the place was bustling. I was impressed by the fresh ingredients and reasonable prices. The staff were also very friendly. I definitely want to go back to this restaurant.

After returning to Japan from overseas, I skipped the in-flight meal. I wanted to have a highball after moving from Haneda Airport to Shinagawa, but they don't have it here! I had sushi instead. On a business trip morning, I ended up at Shinagawa Station for a transfer, but unfortunately my scheduled train was delayed and hadn't arrived yet. I had planned to have breakfast near my destination, but with time running out, it seemed difficult. So, I decided to try morning sushi for the first time. I was happy to see they had a morning set for 700 yen. Eating while standing allows you to quickly eat and leave, which matches the busy atmosphere before the transfer. The set included classic tuna, white fish, seared squid, and 7 pieces of sushi, which was enough for breakfast and tasted quite good. I finished eating on time. Thank you for the meal!

At Shinagawa Station's ticket gate, you can enjoy a quick standing sushi experience. In a way, this place feels like time is condensed. For me, it's marked as my 7th visit, but I've probably been here around 20 or 30 times. Most of my visits are during snack time at Shinagawa Station. This is the true form of Edomae sushi. Snack time standing sushi. In a place like this, it's cool not to linger. Even if you're drinking, just one glass. Since it's standing, 15 to 20 minutes is probably the limit. Leaning on the counter or resting your arms is not cool. The "Midsummer Three-Piece King" (605 yen) includes eel, sea bass, and willow octopus. Yep, it feels like summer. The "Tuna Three-Piece Set" (660 yen) includes bluefin tuna, medium fatty tuna, and minced tuna battleship. The medium fatty tuna is a big hit, much tastier than it looks. The "Fresh Mackerel" (250 yen) was the best of the day. The "Shinagawa Battleship" (200 yen for 2 pieces) is like a "staff meal battleship," but it's satisfying. In other places, it's sold as a "luxury battleship" or simply a "staff meal battleship." Thank you for the meal. If each visit is 15 minutes, and I've been here 20 times, that's 5 hours. At around 2,000 yen per visit, that's 40,000 yen. Equivalent to about 2 visits to a high-end sushi restaurant lasting 2 and a half hours each, depending on the person's lifestyle. I went after a long time! My usual sushi restaurant ^_^;; There are new staff members now. Some familiar faces are still there, but I couldn't see them on this day. Even though I think I can go anytime, I can only go two or three times a year.

After finishing work, I stopped by this place for the first time in a while. It was around 5:30 pm, so I was able to enter without waiting in line and found a spot at the counter. They have a great deal - a light meal set for 1100 yen, which includes 4 pieces of sushi, tamagoyaki, and a drink. I ordered it with a draft beer, and the sushi chef started lining up the sushi on the bamboo leaf. The draft beer arrived, and as I sipped it and enjoyed the sushi, I felt fantastic. The quality of the sushi is definitely different from 100 yen sushi - it's fresh and incredibly delicious. I also added a shochu on the rocks, and finished with just the 4 pieces of sushi from the light meal set and tamagoyaki. It's a great place for enjoying delicious sushi with a drink.

I visit here every week. I get off the Shinkansen and come straight here. Today, I had the shako, which I haven't had in a while. Then, I'll have the three champions - squid, tuna, and other starters - along with some beer, and head home. It's like going on a business trip just for this.

The quality of the sushi is decent, better than Sushiro or Kura Sushi but the seasonal sardines and swordfish didn't exceed expectations. There is a good variety of sushi options on the menu, which makes it enjoyable just to look through. It's a stand-up style sushi bar, so we ate quickly and left. Pro tip: When they run out of pickled ginger, the chef will quickly add more to the bamboo leaf. This means that ordering a second pickled ginger shochu highball and adding the ginger yourself turns it into a cheaper drink (lol). I just realized this while writing the review - thanks for the meal!

Visited on June 2023, today is the usual holiday work day at the end of the month (tears). Had breakfast at a standing sushi bar in Shinagawa Station while transferring. The sushi bar opens from 7 am, which is quite rare. I've been here a few times before, but realized I hadn't reviewed it yet. Started with 3 pieces of tuna sushi for 660 yen. Also ordered Shinagawa Battleship sushi, and everything I ate had great quality fish. It's a bit pricey since it's in the station, but they have seasonal items and the taste is excellent. Ate too much this time and had a rare case of a major issue with my Mobile Suica, so had to pay with cash for the first time in a while... The staff handled it calmly and I appreciated that. I was drawn to the "Otsukare Set" at the standing sushi bar inside Shinagawa Station. It includes one alcoholic drink, four pieces of sushi, and tamago for 1100 yen. I chose a draft beer for my drink. The sushi selection included squid, tuna, salmon, and one more type (not sure what it was), along with tamago and pickled ginger. The small-sized sushi pieces were perfect for snacking, and you can order more if you're still hungry (including more drinks). The amount was just right to pair with one beer, and the delicious sushi went well with the beer too.

This time, I flew from Haneda to the United States. Before transferring from the Shinkansen to the Keikyu Line, I decided to have lunch at the convenient Shinagawa Ecute. I wanted to have some sushi since it will be a while before I can have proper Japanese food again. I stopped by Uogashi Nihon Ichi. This standing sushi restaurant allows you to order at the counter and they will make it for you. It's a great place for busy people. I ordered the Aoi sushi lunch set for 1480 yen. It comes with 10 pieces of sushi and crab miso soup. As soon as you order, they start making the sushi for you. You can enjoy various types of sushi like tuna, fatty tuna, and white fish. The miso soup has crab in it and the broth is flavorful. I wanted to order more sushi, but I resisted the temptation. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the "Arajiru Set (800 yen)" for breakfast at a sushi restaurant. The set includes Arajiru soup and 7 pieces of nigiri sushi. Without the Arajiru soup, it costs 700 yen. It's a reasonable set available until 10:00 in the morning. It's convenient for a quick stop even when transferring trains. The curry shop next door offers a variety of one-coin curry options. Despite being a large station like Shinagawa Station, there are reasonably priced restaurants available.

In December 2021, I visited a sushi restaurant inside Shinagawa Station while waiting for the Shinkansen. Due to COVID-19, my trips to Tokyo have significantly decreased, so it was a rare visit for me. The restaurant had changed its seating arrangement from spacing out tables to using acrylic partitions for safety measures. I ordered the "Shellfish 3 Piece Set" as recommended, but instead of scallops, they served clam! I ended up ordering scallops separately because I really wanted to try them. The scallops were sweet and delicious. I also ordered salted tuna, whelk, raw squid, and clam soup. The salted tuna was marinated with yuzu pepper, which didn't quite match the flavor. The clam soup was rich and tasty with plenty of ingredients. In January 2022, I visited the same restaurant for breakfast on my way back from Tokyo. The restaurant was empty due to COVID-19 precautions, and I had a unique dining experience with plastic sheets covering the seats around me. I enjoyed whelk, flounder (marinated in kelp), the "Shellfish 3 Piece Set," marinated tuna, raw octopus, and clam soup. The "Shellfish 3 Piece Set" menu now proudly featured clam instead of scallops, and I was impressed by the generous portion size. In April 2022, I had my usual standing breakfast at the restaurant and tried the "Spring Three Piece King" (cherry snapper, saury, firefly squid), spear squid, red clam, raw squid, and whelk. In June 2023, I visited the restaurant in the evening while waiting for the Shinkansen and had whelk, the "Shellfish 3 Piece Set," raw octopus, squid, and marinated tuna. Currently, the restaurant has a rating of 3.40 on Tabelog.

I visited during the lunch hour on a regular day. I waited in line for about 3 minutes. The turnover is fast. I ordered 13 pieces of sushi plus 2 hand rolls for ¥2,805. When converted to 15 pieces, it comes out to less than ¥200 per piece. The rice portion is on the larger side. I don't mind larger rice portions, but this time the sushi chef's style didn't suit me as there was clearly rice left in my mouth after each bite. The quality of the fish is average, but there is no fishy taste and considering the cost, it's reasonable. The hand rolls were just the right size and delicious, I couldn't resist ordering Negitoro and Toro Takuan.

This is the best fast food. When you don't have much time but want to eat something delicious, this is the place. The bluefin tuna, shellfish, and white fish are all delicious. The small portions are also appreciated. Even Western tourists bravely order here. I wonder how many pieces they eat. Anyway, I want to stop by here again.
