In December 2021, I visited a sushi restaurant inside Shinagawa Station while waiting for the Shinkansen. Due to COVID-19, my trips to Tokyo have significantly decreased, so it was a rare visit for me. The restaurant had changed its seating arrangement from spacing out tables to using acrylic partitions for safety measures. I ordered the "Shellfish 3 Piece Set" as recommended, but instead of scallops, they served clam! I ended up ordering scallops separately because I really wanted to try them. The scallops were sweet and delicious. I also ordered salted tuna, whelk, raw squid, and clam soup. The salted tuna was marinated with yuzu pepper, which didn't quite match the flavor. The clam soup was rich and tasty with plenty of ingredients. In January 2022, I visited the same restaurant for breakfast on my way back from Tokyo. The restaurant was empty due to COVID-19 precautions, and I had a unique dining experience with plastic sheets covering the seats around me. I enjoyed whelk, flounder (marinated in kelp), the "Shellfish 3 Piece Set," marinated tuna, raw octopus, and clam soup. The "Shellfish 3 Piece Set" menu now proudly featured clam instead of scallops, and I was impressed by the generous portion size. In April 2022, I had my usual standing breakfast at the restaurant and tried the "Spring Three Piece King" (cherry snapper, saury, firefly squid), spear squid, red clam, raw squid, and whelk. In June 2023, I visited the restaurant in the evening while waiting for the Shinkansen and had whelk, the "Shellfish 3 Piece Set," raw octopus, squid, and marinated tuna. Currently, the restaurant has a rating of 3.40 on Tabelog.
