In Meguro-ku Aobadai, the nearest station is Ikejiri Ohashi. This popular restaurant has long lines for their summer cold green onion soba. I visited again to try their intriguingly named Vinegar-soaked Spicy Soba. The kitchen staff shouted "Sura" after I placed my order. The Vinegar-soaked Spicy Soba with Gyoza was served piping hot with a thick, spicy broth. The acidity and spiciness had a nice punch without being overpowering. The finely chopped green onions added a crunchy texture and delicious flavor. The Gyoza was perfectly cooked and delicious. The warm hospitality of the staff made the experience even better. This is definitely a great restaurant that I would love to visit regularly.

"Keisha" is a popular Chinese restaurant in Ikejiri Ohashi. It quickly filled up with people coming in one after another. Unfortunately, the limited edition chilled onion soba was already sold out. Today, I had the Gomoku Umami Soba for 1050 yen along with the gyoza for 600 yen. The Gomoku Umami Soba had a delicious mix of various vegetables with a perfect savory sauce that coated the noodles well. The gyoza was small and had a thick skin, giving it a homemade feel. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. #Keisha #IkejiriOhashiGourmet #IkejiriOhashiLunch #ChineseSoba #TokyoSoba #Chinese #IkejiriOhashiChinese #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #GourmetInstagram #GourmetMemo #WantToConnectWithGourmetPeople #FoodPornGram #FoodPornLover #Tabe

I wanted to eat cold negi soba, but it was already the end of the year! The restaurant had resumed normal operations, and dishes like shrimp fried rice were available again. I visited with three friends, and I think this restaurant's noodle dishes are very delicious and unique, with thin, firm, and smooth noodles. The warm negi soba was also good. The mapo tofu was quite tasty too. Come to think of it, the mixed yakisoba I had before was also delicious. But I really want to eat cold negi soba again. Looking forward to it starting next summer!

I passed by the neighborhood and luckily there was no line in the unusual time of the evening, so I took the chance to enter! Although they didn't have the famous chilled noodles, they are still a great Chinese restaurant in town! I recommend their Chinese dishes starting from 5 pm! Just before 5 pm is a good time to visit!

- Limited summer cold onion soba is popular with long lines
- 10-minute walk from Ikejiri Ohashi Station
- Opened in 1991
- There were 7 people in line at 10:30, and about 40 people when it opened at 11:15
【Soup】
Price: 50 yen
Standard Chinese soup with a clear color and good flavor
【Cold Onion Soba】
Price: 1,050 yen
Chilled thin noodles with soy-based sauce and sesame oil aroma. Delicate and refreshing green onions that harmonize well.
【Liver and Leek Stir-Fry】
Price: 900 yen
Large pieces of liver cooked well. Slightly oily, goes well with vinegar.
- The atmosphere is casual and friendly in the typical local Chinese restaurant style
- Colleague recommended the place. Visited on the last weekday before the seasonal cold onion soba ends on September 2nd. It was very crowded. The cold onion soba stood out for its exquisite balance rather than any particular element, making it unique. This is a place where they decide on the taste with an exquisite balance.

It's been a while since my last visit. I wanted to eat the cold green onion soba before it ends, so I visited after work. I arrived at the restaurant around 6:30 PM, but there was already a long line. I waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. The cold green onion soba, which I hadn't eaten in a while, was refreshing and disappeared in no time. I will visit again next year.

I went to try the famous hiyashi soba. I was prepared, but surprisingly there was a long line before noon on a weekday. The turnover was slow, and it took about an hour to get inside. Even though they were taking orders in advance, it still took 15 minutes after being seated to be served. Being detained for over an hour and a half on an empty stomach was tough haha. The noodles were smooth and delicious, the green onions were crunchy, and the chicken broth-based sauce had a taste that was addictive. Many people ordered the large portion, but even the regular size had a lot of food, so please be careful...!

I have come to Ikejiri Ohashi so many times in search of this place... only to find a sign saying they are closed. Finally, I was able to visit this much-anticipated shop. The opening time was 11:15, but I arrived at 10:50 and there were already over 30 groups waiting in line. The opening time was moved up to 11:00 due to the long queue. Even then, I couldn't get in on the first round... I finally entered a little after 12:00. I ordered the limited-time cold negi soba for this season. The first bite was amazing!! What is this flavor!! It's incredibly delicious! The noodles already had the flavor infused in them, and the toppings were just negi, a little bit of cucumber, and meat, but as I ate, I was impressed. Even the regular portion had a lot of noodles!! It might be too much for women? Towards the end, you might get tired of it. It's quite a large portion, so it might be better to eat something like gyoza in between for a change in taste. You'll be very full after eating it... When I finished and went outside, I was surprised to see the line had gotten even longer! It's definitely a very popular shop. I want to come back to try the fried rice they don't serve during this season. And this sign says "Cold negi soba until 9/2 Saturday," so it will probably be even more crowded next week, the very last chance.

2023.8.26 2023-390 Chicken Shed ◎ [Summer Limited] Cold Green Onion Soba + Rice (with soup) 1300 yen (1050 yen + 250 yen) Payment after meal This is my second visit to Chicken Shed this season to have their cold green onion soba. Just like last time, I ordered the rice set. The curly thin noodles are thoroughly cooled in cold water. Even the regular portion has a substantial amount of noodles. The noodles are sprinkled with salt and soy sauce for a delicious flavor. Toppings include green onions, cucumbers, and finely sliced char siu, which are mixed well. I topped the leftover green onions and sauce on the rice to make a self-made green onion rice bowl. The soup is also delicious. Thank you for the meal! At 17:30 on weekdays, there were 15 people waiting in line inside the restaurant. The food was served at 18:00, and at 18:15, the popular menu items were the Chilled Green Onion Soba for ¥1050 and the Thinly Sliced Pork Chinese Rice Bowl. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be ordering the Chilled Green Onion Soba, which had thin noodles that were nicely chilled with cold water. The seasoning was strong with sesame oil and lacked any sourness, creating a unique and addictive taste. On the other hand, the Chinese Rice Bowl had a typical flavor found in local Chinese restaurants, with a rich and heavy taste mainly from chicken broth. While it was also addictive, it could lead to stomach discomfort and boredom halfway through. It's puzzling why the Chilled Green Onion Soba is so popular.

I waited in line for about 30 minutes on a hot summer day. They asked for my order while I was waiting in line, so the food came out pretty quickly once I was seated. I had the summer limited chicken soba! It was very delicious with a generous portion, and the green onions added a nice touch!

I finally decided to visit this place that I've been wanting to go for a long time. It was raining heavily, but when I got off the ride, it was just a light drizzle. I thought I was lucky that there wasn't much of a line on a day like this, but there were actually more than 10 people waiting. I quietly got in line at the end, and surprisingly, the line moved quickly. Many groups of around 4 people were also there. There were a lot of young people too. While waiting in line, the menu was passed around and the staff took orders. I didn't realize there were chairs for waiting inside the restaurant... I was seated at the counter after a short wait, and the chilled negi soba arrived. It came with a soup. I see, so this is how it is. I mixed the thick sauce with the noodles and started eating. There were a lot of noodles, so I should have asked for less. I'm not a big fan of raw onions, but these were okay. I didn't feel bloated afterwards. But still, I didn't expect this place to be so popular!

Chilled green onion soba was interesting but not quite addictive. Adding chili oil and pepper made the flavor more balanced. The noodles were very thin and common. The dumplings had thick skins and were on the smaller side, tasting more like homemade than from a restaurant.

[Overall Impression] The sliced white negi (Japanese green onion) goes exceptionally well with this dish! The thin slices are just right, crispy and refreshing. The ice-cold thin noodles paired with smooth chicken oil and sesame oil are delicious! The vinegar adds a refreshing touch. Although the portion seemed generous, it disappeared in no time!
[Basic Information]
Visit Date: August 7, 2023 (Monday) 10:45
Queue upon Arrival: Already 1 person
Ticket Purchase Method: Verbal order with cash payment upon leaving
Order/Price: Cold onion soba + soup ¥1,050 + ¥50
[Soup] It is not included in the set, so you need to order it separately. It's a typical Chinese-style soup, served to cleanse the palate since the noodles are cold.
[Noodles] The extremely thin noodles are firm and well-coated with the sauce. The aroma of chicken oil and sesame oil is delightful, and the vinegar is just right. The vinegar, pepper, and chili oil on the table can be used for flavor variation. It's a feeling of devouring the dish without thinking.
[Ingredients] The dish includes chashu, shredded cucumber, and plenty of sliced white negi. The white negi is incredibly delicious! Despite looking like a huge portion, the slices are thin, making it easy to eat. The finely sliced white negi is truly the highlight of the dish.
[Service] The store opened at 11:10. Only three people were waiting inside, while the rest continued to wait outside. There is a shallow shelf under the counter for belongings. Tissues are available on the counter. Water can be fetched from the water dispenser at the back of the store. Paper aprons were not checked without asking.
[Ambience] It's a typical Chinese restaurant with a lively atmosphere. The customers are of various ages and genders. With 10 counter seats and 2 tables, I completed the first round by arriving at 11:00. There is a vending machine outside, so I bought a drink before queuing. The queue looked like this (representative waiting groups were holding spots, and the number of people increased unnoticed):
- 10:50: 6 people
- 11:00: 10 people
- 11:05: 15 people
- 11:10: Many people laughing

I walked 10 minutes from Ikejiri Ohashi Station. Last year, when I went to the shop, it was temporarily closed and I couldn't eat, but finally I was able to have my revenge this year! I was prepared to wait in line, but when I went around 6:30pm on a weekday, I was able to enter without waiting. It took about 5 minutes from ordering to the food being served. I went with a friend and we ordered other items to share. Our order included: - Cold onion soba (extra sauce) - Rice topped with thinly sliced meat Plenty of green onions with sesame oil flavored soy sauce-based sauce! There was plenty of noodles, but when combined with this sauce and green onions, it was refreshing and we were able to finish it all in one go. It was recommended to have extra sauce and green onions, but they stopped offering extra green onions this year. The sauce was just right with extra sauce. We also ordered the rice topped with thinly sliced meat, which was delicious with plenty of meat and crunchy diced onions in a thick sauce. It was so tasty that we couldn't stop eating it. Rice with thick sauce is really delicious. People who eat the cold onion soba usually order the Chinese soup as a set, but it comes as a set with this rice so you don't need to order it separately.

2023.8.5 2023-357 Chicken Shed ◎ [Summer Limited] Cold Green Onion Soba + Rice (with soup) 1300 yen (1050 yen + 250 yen) Payment is made after the meal. Recently, I've been seeing posts about Chicken Shed that piqued my interest, so I decided to visit for the first time. On my way there, I found out that @harapecooh-sensei had also been there, so it seems like a near miss as usual. The thin, curly noodles with a flavorful salt-based sauce, lacking in acidity, came with a generous amount of noodles. Toppings were simple with main ingredients being green onions, finely sliced cucumbers, and chashu. Mix it all together and it's delicious. It's understandable why people line up for this. The rice and soup were also tasty, cooked to perfection and just to my liking. I'd like to come back one more time this year. Thank you for the meal. #Ramen #Tsukemen #ChickenShed #RamenMemoirs #Noodlestagram #Meguro-ku, Tokyo #ExperimentalNoodleslift

I visited a place I haven't been to in a while to eat my favorite cold green onion soba. It used to be not so famous when I lived nearby, but now there's always a long line even before opening for the night, with the first round filling up. Cold green onion soba: 1050 yen Soup: 50 yen Gyoza: 600 yen The green onions in the soba are soaked in water, so they're not spicy and you can enjoy the aroma and texture. Before eating, you have to mix the green onions, noodles, and seasoned oil well, which can be a bit of a challenge. But once you mix it well, you can enjoy it until the end. Despite the volume, it's refreshing and I can finish it all, maybe because I also drink the soup. It had been a while, so I also had gyoza and was completely satisfied. I want to visit again at least one more time this year.

On a regular day, there were 20 people waiting in line when the restaurant opened in the morning. The restaurant has 10 counter seats and 2 tables for 4 people each. Orders are taken verbally, and payment is made after finishing the meal (cash only). In terms of infection prevention measures, the staff wear masks, hand sanitizers are provided, and the entrance is left open. Amenities include tissues, toothpicks, a storage compartment under the counter, and hooks for hanging jackets. On the table, there are various seasonings available such as white and black GABAN seasoning, salt, soy sauce, chili oil, and vinegar. There is no background music playing in the restaurant.
The specialty dish is "Cold Noodle with Autumn Beauty Leeks," priced at 1050 yen, with an additional 50 yen for extra soup. The dish consists of finely shredded cabbage, plenty of leeks, and cold thin noodles mixed with leek oil. The hot soup in the pot next to it is boiling. The customers seem to be enjoying their meal, and the restaurant seems to have a casual atmosphere. As customers leave, they are greeted with a bright summer sky outside.
Suddenly, someone realizes they forgot to pay for their meal and rushes back inside. This seems to happen occasionally with the restaurant's payment system. The staff apologizes for the oversight.

I decided to go to Ikeshita Ohashi around 7 pm on a weekday. There were about 4 groups ahead of me, and I waited for about 30 minutes. It was a bit cooler to wait in the evening compared to during the day. I wanted to try the fried rice based on the reviews, but it seems they don't have it now, maybe it's a winter limited item? I ordered the cold noodles with green onions, soup, mapo tofu, and stir-fried meat and vegetables. They warned me that it might be too much food, but I felt like I could eat a lot, so I went for it. The noodles were really plentiful and delicious! Each strand was full of flavor and I could eat a lot. The side dishes were also tasty! I wanted to try more dishes, but I'm not a big eater when it comes to carbs, so I was full. It was really delicious, but the noodles were just too much for me (I finished it all). I would recommend sharing to try a variety of dishes. The staff was warm and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. It was worth waiting in line for this delicious local Chinese food! Thank you for the meal ☺︎

On August 1, 2023 (Tuesday) the 74th bowl this year, I came to eat "cold green onion soba" again! When I arrived at 7:00 PM, there was already a line of more than 10 people... I thought about leaving, but my companion decided to wait in line. In the end, we waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes to get inside. This year, the cold green onion soba was priced at 1,050 yen, with an additional 50 yen for soup. The cold green onion soba had a 50 yen increase in price, and unfortunately, you couldn't add extra green onions. It's incredibly delicious, but waiting for over an hour... I'm not sure about that. Well, I still wanted to eat it.
