銀ぐる
In this area, there are places like Manpuku for Chinese noodles and here at Funamizaka, so you won't have any trouble finding delicious ramen to eat. In addition to ramen, there are also many other tasty options available, making this a favorite place of mine. So, this time, I visited Funamizaka and tried their salt ramen.
- Shrimp Wonton Noodles (1050 yen)
You order using a ticket machine, and you can use electronic money like Pasmo or Suica. Going off on a tangent a bit, while the Jeff Gourmet Card (nationwide meal ticket) is said to be accepted on the website, I wonder how it works now that they have a ticket machine (I haven't confirmed this yet, so I might ask next time). Back to the ramen review. The soup is made from scallops and kelp from Hokkaido, as well as animal-based ingredients, with a salt base that is refreshing yet full of umami, making it very satisfying. They promote it as Hakodate ramen, but personally, I felt that the soup was even more delicious than what you would find in Hakodate! The toppings include naruto, chashu, menma, nori, spinach, and plenty of shrimp wontons. I was amazed by the shrimp wontons. They use sweet shrimp, and the shrimp flavor is very strong, with shrimp oil drizzled on top, making it irresistible for shrimp lovers. The noodles are thin and firm, just the way I like them. You can get a free extra-large portion, but even the regular size is quite filling. This shop has been in Ginza for over 20 years, and in a place where restaurants come and go frequently, the fact that they have remained means their ramen is truly delicious. This is a place I want to visit regularly.
