I have visited this restaurant several times and have tried a variety of menu items. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions, and everything tastes delicious. This time, I went for lunch by myself. In the past, I had been seated on the second floor with a group, but this time I sat at the counter on the first floor. The counter and chairs felt a bit awkward, and there were partitions set up, but the seating was quite close to the neighboring diners. The payment was done over the counter and through the kitchen, with money and arms passing overhead while I was eating. It was a bit cramped, but understandable given the space. It was very cold, so I wanted something warm to eat, and I ordered the Ginseng Chicken Soup and half rice for the first time. This restaurant does not serve side dishes, so I ordered Kimchi for 250 yen. I waited about 7-8 minutes for it to arrive. The lady next to me who arrived later got her Stone Pot Bibimbap before my Ginseng Chicken Soup. It seems the soup takes a bit longer to prepare. But, the wait was worth it! The piping hot Ginseng Chicken Soup arrived in a metal-coated stone pot, steaming with a delicious aroma. It was sure to warm me up! When I tasted it, the soup was so hot, so be careful when eating. The flavor of the chicken was rich and delicious. The meat was tender and fell off the bone, which was also soft enough to eat. The soup also had jujube, ginseng, and glutinous rice, making it authentic. And all this for 1,450 yen, which is unbelievable. In Shin-Okubo, this would easily cost around 3,000 yen. Why didn't I order the Ginseng Chicken Soup before? I will definitely order it next time! I am very satisfied! Ueno's Koreatown is definitely worth a visit. Please come and try it out! Stone Pot Ginseng Chicken Soup: 1,450 yen Half Rice: 100 yen Kimchi: 250 yen Total: 1,800 yen It was a bit of a splurge, but I had a great lunchtime. Other people paid around 850 to 950 yen.
