Located on the 5th floor of Akiba Trim, this Chinese restaurant was bustling with customers, with a 5-minute wait at the entrance. We were seated at a table for two and carefully examined the menu. Although there were quite a few Sichuan dishes, we decided to avoid them due to the spiciness we had for lunch. We ordered garlic stir-fried water spinach, chicken herbal soup, a sampler of three dim sum dishes, homemade pan-fried dumplings, and a highball. As we sipped on the highball, the first dish to arrive was the water spinach, which was crispy and flavorful with garlic and chili. It paired well with the highball. The dumplings came next, with a juicy filling enclosed in a thick skin. The dim sum sampler included spinach, shrimp, and shark fin, with the shrimp being the standout. The herbal soup was something we were looking forward to, and it did not disappoint. The unique flavor and aroma of Chinese herbal soup were comforting and delicious. It felt like a journey to the Chinese culinary world. Overall, the depth of flavors and harmony of ingredients in the soup made the visit to this restaurant worthwhile.

I often have gatherings with the former head of the client company who retired, at a favorite Chinese restaurant. The dishes are always delicious and I am always satisfied. Lately, it has been quite crowded with group customers, sometimes causing a bit of a commotion, but the Chinese staff are friendly and treat me like a regular customer, which I appreciate. ☺️

I visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch. I ordered the oil-drizzled chicken set meal and went to get the all-you-can-eat mapo tofu. While waiting at my table, a large portion of oil-drizzled chicken was brought to me. Wow! It was amazing. I finished it all, but it's a secret how many trips I made to the bathroom during work in the afternoon.

My family and I enjoyed delicious Chinese food in Akihabara at night. We had spicy hot pot, dumplings, mapo tofu, stir-fried beef and vegetables, xiaolongbao, five-flavor ramen, and I had shochu on the rocks! The beef stir-fry was a bit salty, but the spicy hot pot was delicious. The wood ear mushrooms were a good match, and the thick hormone was tasty, but maybe not the best choice for hot pot ingredients in terms of texture and balance. I think thinly sliced hormone would be better. The five-flavor ramen had good flavor but could use more thickness. It's impressive how they manage to handle such a large number of customers with a small kitchen and staff! They are like the hidden heroes behind the folding screen at Tao Yuan Yi.

Today I came to Akihabara and found a Chinese restaurant near the station. They had a lunch special, so I decided to go in. The daily special was sweet and sour pork set meal, so I chose that. They also offered all-you-can-eat mapo tofu, which made me very happy. After a while, my order arrived. The sweet and sour pork was delicious with tender cabbage and just the right amount of seasoning. The set meal also came with salad, soup, pickled vegetables, and rice. The mapo tofu was all-you-can-eat, but the portion of sweet and sour pork was unexpectedly large so I could only eat one bowl of mapo tofu. It was quite authentic with doubanjiang and a bit spicy, and I enjoyed it. I would like to try a different menu next time.

It is a reassuring shop with reasonable prices despite being located adjacent to Akihabara Station. It is a popular restaurant with full seats during lunchtime. The complimentary mapo tofu is delicious with a strong flavor of Sichuan pepper, so I always end up asking for more. The overall portion size is generous, and with the complimentary mapo tofu, you will leave feeling satisfied. I believe this is a restaurant where you can be satisfied with the bright atmosphere, taste, and portion size. The lunch is around 1,000 yen, so I think the cost performance is high. I hope they can maintain the current prices if possible.

I visited Ueno Park to see the cherry blossoms after visiting Tokyo Daijingu Shrine, but my lunch time was off so I ended up back in Akihabara. I found a place where I could have a drink during the day and went inside. There were several groups of customers taking advantage of the lunchtime menu, and I noticed that it was a place where even solo diners, including women, felt comfortable entering.

Before heading to Tsukuba, I had a late lunch in Akihabara before 2pm. I decided to try out a restaurant on the 5th floor of Akiba Trim. I ordered the weekly special lunch set which included meat and vegetable stir-fry, egg soup, pickled vegetables, vegetable salad, and almond jelly. The stir-fry was very generous in portion size and was served within 3 minutes of ordering, which was a pleasant surprise. I was worried about finishing the meal in time for my train departure, but I managed to finish it in about 10 minutes. The staff were very attentive, refilling my water without me having to ask. Overall, I had a relaxing and satisfying meal in a private room. And no, I wasn't isolated in the private room because I was a problematic customer, so just leave me alone.

Located on the 5th floor near Akihabara Station, you can enjoy a nice view if you manage to get a window seat. I had the Sichuan-style Dan Dan noodles for lunch. The soup was rich and the noodles were medium thickness, not thin. I couldn't finish it all because I was full, but if you order a meal for lunch, it seems like you can have all-you-can-eat mapo tofu.

At the station building food court, I think it's a high cost-performance restaurant. I finished work early today, so I visited here. Even though it was 1 PM, it was about 80% full. The staff, both in the kitchen and in the dining area, are from a continental background but they work efficiently. For lunch, you can have unlimited refills of mapo tofu. It's delicious with a strong taste of Szechuan pepper. For the main dish, I chose a stir-fry of small fish and eggs and sweet and sour pork for 1300 yen. However, to my surprise, compared to when I had the same menu before, today there were only 3 small fish in the stir-fry and the sweet and sour pork had a different texture, more like fried meatballs. It's really a difficult time we live in. Even though my stomach is full, my heart is not satisfied. Today's message: Japan is in danger. Where is Ultraseven? Moroboshi Dan, where are you?!

Recommended by a friend, it was my first visit to this restaurant. I ordered the popular menu item "drooling chicken set meal." When I asked about the complimentary mapo tofu at the entrance, I was told it was self-service, so I tried it right away. It was surprisingly delicious for a complimentary dish. This raised my expectations for the set meal. When the drooling chicken set meal was served, I was impressed by the generous portion. As for the taste... the flavorful and spicy chicken went well with the rice. It's a satisfying restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food in large portions.

I was overwhelmed by the extensive menu options but ended up ordering the dried scallop and whitebait fried rice. When ordering lunch, it came with all-you-can-eat mapo tofu, so I had a bowl of that too. The fried rice was a bit bland, so it didn't pair well with the mapo tofu, but I was satisfied with the generous amount of whitebait in the fried rice. I couldn't really taste the dried scallops as they were finely chopped and mixed in. I will try a different dish next time.

Today I had a Chinese lunch at Shinjoen Akihabara store. I arrived around 11:20 and ordered the Black Vinegar Chicken set meal. The rice and soup were free refills, and the mapo tofu, which was all-you-can-eat, was included. The Black Vinegar Chicken was served piping hot with chili oil drizzled on top, and I poured the mapo tofu over my rice, taking sips of soup in between bites. I finished off with almond jelly for dessert. It was incredibly delicious.

I arrived a little after the restaurant opened at 11 am on the weekend. There were already several people dining, and more came in after me. It seems to be quite popular. I ordered the mapo tofu set meal for 980 yen. There seemed to be two types (or maybe more?) of mapo tofu, and I chose the regular one. The mapo tofu that was brought to me had a mild orange color. The taste had a subtle spiciness like pepper that gradually builds up, which I enjoyed. The Sichuan pepper flavor wasn't too strong. The tofu was soft and the size of the green onions was perfect for texture and flavor. I was satisfied with the dish, although the meat was a bit chewy for my liking. It's a matter of preference. It was an interesting mapo tofu that I hadn't experienced before. Notably, the staff's service was excellent. They were polite and attentive, ensuring the comfort of the customers and maintaining high hygiene standards. I was impressed by their professionalism. I had a plan to go to MUJI on this day. I was debating whether to go to the MUJI in Coredo Nihonbashi or the one in Akihabara, as they are both about the same distance from my office. I decided to go to Akihabara because I was curious about the store located in Akiba Trim where MUJI is. After finishing work, I ended up at MUJI and it was already 2:30 PM. I took the elevator to the 5th floor and went to the front of the store. Looking at the menu, I noticed that the prices were not cheap, probably because it's located in a commercial facility. The cheapest set meal was the weekly special set meal or the drooling chicken set meal for 980 yen. For noodles, they offered a rich tantanmen or a soupless tantanmen for 980 yen. However, even though it was not cheap, the lunch here came with all-you-can-eat mapo tofu. Considering the volume, it might be a good value for money. The menu board mentioned that rice and soup were refillable, so if mapo tofu was all-you-can-eat, it would be better to go for the set meal with rice. After looking through the menu, I decided on the weekly special set meal with simmered beef belly and daikon in soy sauce (980 yen) and entered the store. When I mentioned that I was alone, I was guided to a table for four people due to the available time. I placed my order and then looked around the store. I couldn't find the self-service corner for the all-you-can-eat mapo tofu. I looked at what the previous customers were eating, but there were no signs of them taking the all-you-can-eat mapo tofu. Maybe the all-you-can-eat is only available during peak lunch hours? Or perhaps they stop serving it when it runs out? I think that might be the case. But if it's finished, I wish they would write a note about it. I was hoping that someone would go and get it. However, no one did, and my simmered beef belly and daikon in soy sauce was served. It couldn't be helped, it was my fault for entering late. The meal included simmered beef belly and daikon in soy sauce, rice, soup, salad, pickles, and dessert. I started with the salad, which was a mix of cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, lettuce, etc., with dressing already applied. Next, I tried the main dish of simmered beef belly and daikon in soy sauce, and it was surprisingly delicious. It was cooked in a Chinese-style soy sauce, and both the daikon and beef belly were tender. The rice was very appetizing. The pickles and soup were average. The dessert was almond jelly, but it was disappointing as it was bland and watery. Although I was disappointed that there was no all-you-can-eat mapo tofu, overall, the meal seemed to be a decent value for money considering the content. It was a satisfying lunch. Good view from the 5th floor of a building adjacent to JR Akihabara Station. I arrived just before the 3:30 pm closing time. I ordered the pork ramen and half cha-han from the lunch menu. The curry-flavored pork slices had a good thickness and texture, but the soup was on the lighter side, leaving me slightly unsatisfied. The cha-han was moist, which I personally liked. The staff, all from China, provided good service.

I visited Shinshoen Akihabara, which supervises the Chinese cuisine in the popular Tokyo Magazine and TRY. I tried the set menu which includes a single dish of Gomoku soba for 980 yen, along with half-fried rice and dessert for 1100 yen. During lunch time, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat Mapo Tofu, making it even more cost-effective. The Gomoku sauce with plenty of shrimp, squid, pork belly, and vegetables, served with medium noodles, is well blended. After finishing the noodles, I enjoyed the half-fried rice with the soup, and then added chili oil to the Mapo Tofu for a spicy flavor change. I topped the fried rice with the Mapo sauce and finished the meal with almond tofu dessert. It was delicious and satisfying. Next, I will move on to the next restaurant for my next meal.

I dared to order the "comparison of gold mapo tofu and black mapo tofu" instead of a lunch menu at the chain Chinese restaurant "Shinjoen Akihabara Store" on the 5th floor of Akiba Trim, directly connected to TX Akihabara Station. I entered as soon as the store opened, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely lunch, but by the time I was ready to pay, the restaurant was filled with many customers. The gold mapo tofu is a luxurious dish that includes premium Jinhua ham, winter worm summer grass soup, dried shrimp, and dried scallops, with a sprinkle of gold leaf on top. It is not your typical mapo tofu in terms of seasoning and cooking, more like a high-end Chinese dish. As a result, the price is about double when ordered as a single item, but it is definitely worth trying. The black mapo tofu is an authentic and spicy dish from Chengdu, where you can choose the level of spiciness from 1 to 5. I chose level 3, but in hindsight, I should have gone for a spicier option. It is delicious and authentic, but it seemed like there was too much chili oil, leaving a slightly heavy feeling in the stomach after eating. This mapo tofu comparison is a first in Japan and seems to be unique to the Akihabara store. They also offer all-you-can-eat and drink options at night, so I am looking forward to trying their meticulously prepared dishes such as dim sum and shark fin in the future. I have decided to visit again when I can enjoy some drinks at night. It is a great restaurant that seems to put a lot of effort into each dish.

I went there at 11 o'clock on Saturday and it was not crowded at all. It cost around 2,500 yen per person without drinks, so it was a bit expensive, but the taste was luxurious. I tried the mapo tofu in white, black, red, and gold, and they were all delicious. The black one was labeled as extremely spicy, but it wasn't that hot. There are many all-you-can-eat and drink places around Kanda where you can eat for around 3,000 yen per person, so it may be a bit expensive compared to those, but it's nice for when you want to treat yourself. I was bothered by the fact that there was no background music playing, and it was very quiet. There was a review saying that the mapo tofu was self-service and free, but it didn't seem to be the case on that day.

My friend seems to love staying at home, being a shut-in is their favorite pastime. Snacking on sweets is their ideal. They have a small appetite and seem to have little interest in food. I, on the other hand, have hyperlipidemia from overeating and am currently undergoing treatment. There are so many things I want to eat, it's quite a dilemma to choose just one. Noodles are a must-have menu item, and today I'm in the mood for something spicy. I tried Szechuan Dan Dan noodles before, but I didn't feel the spiciness. Recently, I've been enjoying Ma La noodles. Here at New Shoenen, they have "Szechuan Super Spicy Soba," which doesn't lack in spiciness. Me: "Szechuan Super Spicy Soba, with the noodles slightly firm~♪" Waiter: "It's very spicy." ...
