Story of lunch wandering in Koto-ku Part 204. A double-named shop at Super Maruetsu in front of Shiomui Station, combining Innepa and Jiro-inspired ramen. Originally, it seems to have been called Innepa Onri, but eventually a ramen department was added. Recently, the ramen department's name changed from "Tonnila Tei" to "Buta Kichi". However, the default ramen they offer, hidden behind the Jiro-inspired style, is said to be very orthodox, similar to the Tonnila Tei days. In addition, on the curry department's website, Innepa is still listed as an affiliated store. The interior has a somewhat fast-food style, with a spacious second-floor seating area. You can even see the Maruetsu store from the open space. The staff all seem to be locals, with good Japanese communication skills. I paid in advance with PayPay for a ramen set for 500 yen and a mini curry set for 250 yen (single 330 yen). In short, it's very affordable. The ramen arrived in just over 5 minutes. The soup is slightly sweet, which may be a bit of a concern, but otherwise, it's a very decent soy sauce ramen with a slightly thinner, curly noodle texture that is perfectly cooked. The amount of noodles is satisfying for the price, and the chashu is unexpectedly thick and delicious. It seems like they may be using the chashu from Buta Kichi (Jiro-inspired) here. I added plenty of black pepper later on, which balanced out the sweetness. The mini curry, described as European-style, is clearly Innepa-style. It's mild and sweet, with chicken and broccoli. The rice is Japanese rice. It's somewhat spicy, but not very hot. It's similar to butter chicken in terms of flavor profile. If you eat it thinking it's supposed to be like this, it's actually quite tasty. The regular size curry allows you to choose either 300 grams of rice or 3 pieces of naan for the same price. You can eat quite a lot. In conclusion, this place offers both authentic ramen and moderately authentic Innepa curry, making it a good rival to "Yomodasoba" (noodle soup and Indian curry). They also have a good selection of alcohol and snacks, with a stable drinking set available. The draft beer is surprisingly cheap. I wonder if it's really authentic beer. I'm very curious about the Cumin Spice Sour. It's definitely a place where you can enjoy a drink. (I wonder if there are opportunities to drink in Shiomui in the first place...?)
