Visited around 2:20 PM on Wednesday, August 31st. No waiting time. The small ramen with extra garlic, extra vegetables, and extra oil was very delicious. After me, four young people, two men and two women, arrived and they were all trying to figure out how to order, which was heartwarming. The staff was kind.

I visited the restaurant at 12:25 on a weekday. It was not crowded, with less than half of the seats occupied. I aimed for the limited topping of "braised pork" on Meat Day. I ordered ramen for 850 yen and added the topping for 100 yen, then sat at the available counter seat. By 12:30, I requested a little garlic, vegetables, oil, and spice, and my dish arrived. The braised pork topping made it more impressive than usual. The flavor was well-cooked, with a sweet and salty taste permeating the center of the meat, delicious! The ramen had a consistently good taste and I was satisfied. Today's spice was fish powder seaweed, but the amount was small, so it didn't change the flavor much. It would have been nice to have a bit more. I left the restaurant at 12:45, thank you for the meal!

I visited around 5:50 pm on a regular day. There was no line and the restaurant was about 70% full. I ordered a small ramen for 850 yen and added a raw egg for 50 yen at the ticket machine, then sat at the counter. After the ramen was served to the customer before me, I confirmed my order around 6 pm. I added a little garlic, extra oil, and a side dish called "red pickled ginger" to my ramen. The "red pickled ginger" was a mixture of pickled ginger, bonito flakes, and mayonnaise. The soup and noodles were delicious as always, and the tender chashu pork was great too. I surprisingly enjoyed the "red pickled ginger" side dish. I left the restaurant around 6:10 pm. It was a satisfying meal!

After finishing work, I suddenly felt like eating some inspirational ramen, so I decided to visit this place. I ordered a small ramen with garlic, extra oil, and extra noodles for 850 yen. I thought there weren't many vegetables, but I ended up struggling a bit towards the end! It had a strong flavor, but somehow it was refreshing and easy to eat with chopsticks. I sometimes crave it, so I plan to visit again!

I was wandering around Nakano trying to decide what to eat. I've been to the tantanmen shop before and I'm hesitant to try the popular ramen shop with long lines in case it's not worth the price. As I was pondering, I stumbled upon "Butayama." I decided to play it safe and ordered the maze-soba. When asked if I wanted mayonnaise, I said yes. Today's free topping was "garlic doubanjiang." I thought it would be the Sichuan doubanjiang like in tonkotsu ramen, but it turned out to be a mix of roughly chopped garlic and spicy doubanjiang, giving it a junky flavor. I definitely want to try this again!

After a heavy night of drinking, I woke up late and feeling hungry. I visited the restaurant around 10 minutes after it opened, with 6 customers already inside. I ordered a small ramen for 850 yen and added quail eggs for 100 yen using the ticket machine. I then scanned the QR code to earn points on the app. After waiting for about 15 minutes, my ramen arrived with a little garlic, extra vegetables, extra pork fat, and chopped seaweed on top. The seaweed is a must for tonkotsu ramen, but it surprisingly goes well with Jiro-style ramen too! I started by mixing the vegetables and extra fat into the soup, which was delicious as always. Then I slurped up the thick noodles, which paired perfectly with the pork bone soy sauce broth. The pork slices were small but tender and flavorful, and the quail eggs were also tasty. Porkzan has consistent quality and shorter lines, so I find myself coming back often. I finished my meal in about 10 minutes and left the restaurant satisfied.

Arrived at 11:45 am on a regular day. No waiting, ordered a small ramen for 850 yen and quail eggs for 100 yen at the ticket machine. From April 13th, the Butayama app has been introduced to all stores, allowing customers to earn points by scanning a QR code, and I sat at the available counter number 4. Around noon, my order was confirmed. I requested a little garlic, extra pork fat, and today's special topping, which was pickled mustard greens. I didn't add extra vegetables, so the overall flavor was on the mild side, but the presentation looked appetizing. The noodles and soup were consistently delicious, and the pork was tender and flavorful. Surprisingly, the pickled mustard greens complemented the dish well, even though the portion was small due to it being a complimentary topping. The quail eggs served as a nice palate cleanser, and I finished my meal in just over 10 minutes. When I left at 12:15 pm, there were 2 people waiting. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. With the Nakano branch now offering points, I might visit more often, but with a new branch of Fujimaru nearby, I need to be careful not to gain weight! (laughs)

The small ramen for 800 yen with extra vegetables and extra pork back fat was delicious and satisfying. The broth was milky and sweet, and the bean sprouts were cooked perfectly. There were condiments like chili pepper, vinegar, spicy oil, white pepper, and black pepper on the table. The restaurant also had a self-service vending machine for black oolong tea. The staff were friendly and attentive, checking in to see if everything was okay. They even offered free refills of vegetables and pork back fat. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I look forward to coming back for more!

Visited a ramen shop after enjoying some yakitori. It was close to 9 PM and the counter seats were all full. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. Bought a meal ticket and waited in the waiting area for a bit. Since there were two of us, we were seated side by side. I ordered the smallest size mini ramen. Just before it was served, they asked if I wanted to change any toppings, but I stuck to just adding one tablespoon of garlic. The ramen was served hot and fresh, so I carefully placed it on the counter and started eating. They even provided paper aprons, so I could focus on enjoying my meal. The garlic had a strong kick, there were plenty of bean sprouts, slightly thick noodles, and tender pork. The creamy soup tied everything together, and I was completely absorbed in the flavors. I added some chili pepper from the table to change up the taste, which was also delicious. Despite it being a mini size, it felt like a regular portion because of how filling it was, especially after drinking. I may have had my fill of garlic, but it was so tasty that I'll definitely want to come back for more regularly. Thank you for the meal.

Ramen with extra noodles, 850, raw egg, 50, extra garlic, lots of vegetables, extra oil, firm noodles. Today's garlic was not too spicy and delicious. The vegetables were cooked well. It seems like the taste varies depending on the day. The meat here tastes a bit bland, like it lacks flavor. More meat is not necessary. Overall, it's quite delicious.

Visited on Saturday for lunch just after 12 o'clock. Butayama is always reliable with consistent soup and pork. There was no line today, so I purchased a small size for 850 yen from the ticket machine and sat at the available counter seat. In about 7-8 minutes, I received my bowl with a little garlic, vegetables, and oil. I started by eating the crunchy vegetables with the oil, which was delicious! I appreciated the generous amount of cabbage. About halfway through, I flipped the bowl and started on the noodles. The thick noodles had a good chew even without specifying firmness. The thick slices of pork were tender and fatty, with a consistently good taste. I finished in about 10 minutes. As I left, there were 3 people waiting inside. Thank you for the meal!

Sometimes, when I feel like eating Jiro ramen, I come here. Usually on weekends. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lively and the staff are all cheerful and provide pleasant customer service. There is no strictness or industry rules typical of Jiro ramen shops, so you can relax and enjoy your meal. I come here often, about once a week, and the staff remember me and say things like "Thank you for always coming," "Take care on your way home," "Are you full now?" "Feel free to have more vegetables." It's really nice. As for the deliciousness of the ramen, the soup is rich and creamy with a good balance of flavors. The noodles are thick with a satisfying chewiness, and the vegetables are crunchy and plentiful. You can have more vegetables if you want, and you can also add extra fat. The free daily topping "A" is an interesting system, especially the fried garlic and fish powder. Be careful with the coarsely ground cayenne pepper as it's extremely spicy. I always order extra vegetables and fat, and as you can see in the picture, the portions are quite generous. It's so filling that you might not want to eat ramen for a while! If you're confident or want to get a lot of vegetables, I recommend trying this casual and delicious Jiro ramen. Add some vegetables and fat, try the free topping "A," and enjoy the great customer service! It's perfect for those who want to casually enjoy Jiro ramen and challenge themselves!

I am the baseball king Saito! I dedicate my life to pitching, gourmet food, and alcohol! I came to an amazing ramen shop called Butsuyama. After drinking, it was time for judgment! Guided by the attentive service, I decided to try the Buta (pig) ramen. It was a strong and intense bowl, with plenty of pork and extra back fat. The chashu was a melty chunk, and the soup was rich. The amount was overwhelming, but delicious. I was worried about overeating after drinking, but the kind staff made me feel guilty. It was not bad at all, it was delicious! I will be more mindful of the portion size next time. Overall, it was very tasty! See you again!

Ramen Dai 950, garlic oil, firm noodles, soupless, 100 extra cayenne on the side. It was my first time trying soupless ramen here, and it was surprisingly delicious. I always thought the noodles were on the softer side, but having them firm was just right. It's better not to mix it too much. Maybe adding a raw egg to the large size would be even better. The default amount of vegetables is small, so adding extra was a good choice.

The spicy negi topping was great. [First visit] 12:15 on a weekday in December 2022, clear weather, 9°C. This was my first time trying a Jiro-style ramen after waiting for 5 days in a row. I decided to order the spicy negi topping because it looked delicious. I ordered a small ramen for 830 yen with a little garlic and extra everything, and added the spicy negi topping for 100 yen. The restaurant had a clean and typical ramen shop feel, with a L-shaped counter and 6 waiting seats. The seating was not too cramped, even with the COVID dividers. The presentation of the ramen looked appetizing. The vegetables, including crunchy bean sprouts and plenty of cabbage, were excellent. The broth was quite light, with not much fat melted in. The thick and tender pork had just the right amount of fat and was delicious. Even though I added extra toppings, I found it easy to finish the bowl. The cabbage was a nice touch and the spicy negi topping was delicious, a must-have. It added a spicy kick and complemented the light broth well. I wish there was a bit more richness and flavor in the broth, but overall, it was an easy-to-eat Jiro-style ramen with tasty pork and vegetables. I will definitely order the spicy negi topping again next time. MPD 90%

I left a certain soba restaurant and walked to Tonkotsu Nakano-ten, which is marked by a yellow sign, for the first time. I inserted cash into the ticket machine inside the store and selected Mini Ramen with 150g of noodles. I also bought black oolong tea. The water was self-service. I sat at the counter seat and confirmed that a petite beautiful female staff member was in charge of boiling the noodles and taking orders, while a male staff member was assisting. After listening to radiko for a while and feeling relaxed, I cheerfully asked the beautiful staff member who was about to serve me if I could have garlic. Then, I carefully placed the bowl down to avoid spilling the soup because the counter wall was unexpectedly high, and sprinkled shichimi and white pepper before eating. There seemed to be more bean sprouts than the Ogi-kubo branch I visited last time, and if you add extra vegetables, it will become quite a hearty meal. The noodles were flat, and the amount of soup was slightly less. The saltiness was a bit strong, so it might be better not to add any more caramel. The gentleman next to me had a lot of fat in his soup, and the vegetables were coated with oil, creating a quite intense visual. The pork was thickly sliced and melted nicely when chewed, with a good balance of fat and meat, and just the right amount of saltiness. I silently finished my meal, leaving the soup behind. After not seeing any Uber during my stay, I walked unsteadily, rubbing my full stomach, and boarded the Tozai Line heading down to Nagomi no Yu.

I visited for lunch on a regular day to replenish my garlic intake. I ordered the small ramen for 830 yen with extra garlic, vegetables, and oil. The service was quick. I took a sip of the soup, which was soy sauce-based and not too strong. It gave me the impression of a lighter version of Jiro-style ramen. The vegetables were not too soft and tasted delicious. The only downside was that the noodles were a bit firm.

On Sunday at 1:00 PM. I was able to sit right away. It felt like I came to eat again. I ordered the full portion. When my dish arrived, the staff said, "If you need more vegetables, please let us know. You can have seconds." Isn't that amazing? You can have extra vegetables for free? Even though vegetables are getting more expensive? Is this common sense that I'm not aware of? Oh, what a happy feeling. I'll definitely come back again.

I visited "Butayama Nakano" again this time! I ordered the Mini Buta for 800 yen + Rice for 100 yen + 2 raw eggs for 100 yen, totaling 1000 yen. Once again, the food was delicious! Although I originally wanted to go to Jiro, this place is very convenient as it is close to the station. It is a welcoming space for those who find it difficult to go to Jiro alone. For those who want to try Jiro-style ramen in the future, starting with this place is a good idea! Please give it a try!

This time I ordered a small ramen with no soup, rice, and two raw eggs! I have been ordering this repeatedly and before I knew it, I was already eating it! There are plenty of boiled vegetables, so it's satisfying to eat! The soy sauce flavor goes well with black pepper rather than shichimi. I recommend trying it as a dipping noodle style by mixing the raw eggs. Please give it a try!
