When I was in sales, we started our nights with a toast and practiced content for our evening meetings as the "Crab Team." When it came to sales activities, if someone asked me, "Why do you want to propose that?" I would nod and explain the connection between the other person's needs and what I wanted to sell. However, when it came to celebrations, sometimes it was more about saying, "This company is celebrating its Xth anniversary this year, so please join us in celebrating." So, today's breakfast was at the #TohtoGrill, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year since it was established in 1963. I wanted to have a hearty set meal for breakfast, so I came here. I ordered the Service Set Meal with Chicken Saute and Shrimp, Squid, and Oyster Fry for 950 yen. It was Saturday morning, so there were people doing their shopping and others drinking beer. About 5 minutes later, my order arrived. The Chicken Saute was tender and juicy, with a slightly sweet sauce that left an impression. The salad had mayonnaise dressing and was crunchy and delicious. The fries, starting with the small yet juicy Oyster Fry, the bouncy and textured Squid Fry, and the crispy and juicy Shrimp Fry, were all well-fried. The generous amount of rice provided a satisfying meal. It was a great way to enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning. I had thought before that it would be perfect to enjoy this meal with a beer, and I still think so now.

I came back again. I want to try something different this time. But I always end up ordering the same thing. However, next time I will definitely try something different. A Western-style restaurant with delicious fish. An oasis in Tsukiji. I hope they start accepting cashless payments soon. Adding this wish from the bottom of my heart.

This time we went to the main store. As we went down the stairs, there was an automatic door with "automatic door" written on it, which was quite spacious inside. The staff were working efficiently and the chefs were wearing traditional chef hats. I ordered curry, expecting beef curry, but it also had chicken in it. It was delicious. My friend ordered "Italian", with shrimp in the Napolitan and ham in the Italian. The menu has a wide variety of options and is very affordable. The curry rice was ¥700 including tax. I would like to try the "jumbo curry rice" next. What is jumbo curry rice?

Tsukiji Market used to be a popular spot for market workers to enjoy their favorite set meal restaurants. Even though the market has moved to Toyosu, it seems like the convenience is the reason why Tsukiji is still crowded with visitors, especially after the coronavirus outbreak. Many people, including inbound tourists, flock to Tsukiji almost every day, causing a chaotic situation. Major restaurants in the area are often overlooked because of their proximity to work, making it difficult for them to attract customers. After 21 years, I finally visited one of these restaurants today. Despite hearing about their affordable prices and delicious food through word of mouth, I decided to try their daily special B set meal for a test. The menu mainly consisted of fish dishes, but I was surprised by the freshness and quantity of the tuna bowl. The chicken cutlet, known as Aimore, was also impressive and not just a side dish. It was a well-balanced combination of Japanese and Western cuisine, perfect for satisfying the appetites of Tsukiji's discerning workers. It's no wonder that East To Grill is a well-known restaurant in the area.

I had work in Tsukiji in the afternoon. Let's have lunch in Tsukiji. The area around the outer market is crowded with foreign tourists, making it difficult to enter. That's when I remembered this shop that I was curious about. I go downstairs. There is also an elevator, so I wonder if wheelchair users can come too. I ordered the A set meal. Today's menu was a mix of blue fish, chicken, and squid fry. It's great to have this at such a price in Tsukiji. The amount of rice is just right. It's perfect for before work. The atmosphere of the shop has a Showa era feel. It's very nice. They are showing a rerun of "The Woman of Science Investigation" on TV. Beer and liquor menus are posted on the walls and partitions. But today is a workday. I'll come on my day off.

There is a restaurant located underground in a less popular area just south of the bustling Tsukiji market. Although it is probably busy in the mornings and for lunch, when I visited around 2 pm, there were no other customers. They close at 3 pm on Wednesdays, so I had one hour left. I ordered a large bottle of beer and a pork sauté, without rice. The beer came with some dried persimmons. The pork sauté was very tender and delicious, although the demi-glace sauce was a bit lacking in flavor. I tried adding Worcestershire sauce from the table, which helped. By the time I finished eating, it was already closing time. Next time, I will make sure to enjoy a proper meal.

Great for breakfast at Tsukiji! While it's nice to have sashimi outside, dining in the restaurants inside is also recommended. This Western-style restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes to enjoy. The taste is delicious! The food comes out quickly after ordering, which is very helpful when you're short on time!

Beef stew and crab croquette combo. Hmm, delicious! When you eat beef stew at other places, it comes in a big portion and is expensive. Plus, you get tired of it. I just want to eat the meat in the stew. Here, you can get a decent amount of just the meat in the stew. "I want a little more to eat" and that's it. That's what's great about it. The crab croquette is also crispy. It has a taste more like scallops than crab, but it's still delicious! The food court was packed with inbound tourists coming and going like waves, but was there some kind of bus schedule or something? It was full when I arrived, but there was plenty of space when I left. Rather than the atmosphere, I just enjoy eating something quick and tasty, and then I go home feeling satisfied.

In the lively outer market of the old Tsukiji Market, which is popular among locals rather than tourists, I had a delicious sashimi set meal with bonito and horse mackerel. The sashimi was fresh and tasty, and the simmered tuna side dish was exceptional. On a Saturday morning, the place was filled with people enjoying alcohol and various dishes.

The restaurant offers horse mackerel fry set starting from 950 yen and ham and eggs without tail for 650 yen. When I arrived at 11:00 am, there were about 3 groups of customers already inside. The horse mackerel fry had a crispy coating and the tail was also cut off for easy eating, making it delicious. The ham and eggs were cooked just right. The small side pasta that came with the set meal was a nice addition. Despite it being lunchtime, some customers were using the menu for izakaya-style dining. When I left, the restaurant was full. There is a separate smoking area available.

I had the "Natural Flounder Meuniere & Flounder Sashimi Set Meal" tonight at the East To Grill restaurant. It has been a while since I last visited this place, and I am grateful that they continue to operate in Tsukiji even after the market has moved to Toyosu. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of dishes from traditional Japanese to Western cuisine, and everything is delicious. It's ideal to order a variety of dishes to share while enjoying some drinks. Tonight, I had the natural flounder, which was tender and flavorful in the salt and pepper meuniere style. Squeezing some lemon over it made it even more enjoyable. The flounder sashimi was served with grated radish and ponzu sauce, enhancing the sweetness and flavor of the flounder. Although I refrained from alcohol tonight, the food made me want to drink a lot. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I look forward to coming back for a drinking session with friends next time. The sashimi was delicious. The tuna was fatty and medium fatty, and the amberjack was tender, making my mouth happy. The temperature of the sashimi was just right. It wasn't overly cold, which made it taste even better. However, I would be happy if they added one more piece of each. The service sashimi set (tuna and amberjack) for ¥1200 (tax included) comes with 3 pieces of medium fatty tuna and amberjack each. If they added one more piece of each, I would give it a rating of 3.8 stars. I noticed that fried dishes pair well with sashimi. The fried chicken and grilled salmon of the person next to me looked delicious, especially the large grilled salmon fillet. They were dropping the salmon on top of the rice. Looks delicious!

Second visit, daily specials for under 1000 yen seemed good, but on this day, it wasn't to my liking so I chose from the menu. I had the shrimp fry set meal and the pork sauté set meal. The shrimp fry had a nice thin batter! It's like an old-fashioned Western-style restaurant with the bonus of having spaghetti as a side dish. I saw someone eating the chicken rice and it looked delicious haha.

Tsukiji Dining at Tohto Grill: "Tuna and Scallop Fry Set Meal" Finally made my first visit to this must-visit classic spot in Tsukiji! Established in 1963, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, this restaurant in the Tsukiji market area offers a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes with 68 seats. Located about 8 minutes from Tsukiji Market Station and Tsukiji Station, at the far end of the Tsukiji Outer Market area. The interior exudes a nostalgic Showa era vibe, very nice and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the recommended set meal featured in a magazine, as I wanted to try a combination of sashimi and fry. The tuna sashimi was delicious, with 7 slices of high-quality tuna. The scallop fry was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfectly harmonizing with the tartar sauce, mustard, or lemon. The vegetables were also a nice addition. The side dishes included tamagoyaki, pickles, and miso soup, all very flavorful. Overall, it was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the feast!

A versatile underground eatery on the outskirts of Tsukiji with a wide variety of dishes and drinks available. I ordered the daily special set meal with squid and tuna sashimi for ¥1200. The rice was delicious, cooked in a large gas pot perhaps? The squid was okay, but tasted better with shiso. The tuna had a nice fatty texture and was surprisingly tasty. The menu is overwhelming, but I might try the pork cutlet curry next time.

Certainly, the menu is extensive. If there's a favorite dish, I would definitely come back again, but I couldn't find it today. With such a wide variety, it's hard to focus, but they manage to maintain a high average. The sashimi was delicious. The horse mackerel was also good. I like dishes like eggplant pickles. It's a place I have a good impression of. I would like to come back again.

I often take my middle school child, who has finished classes on Saturdays, to lunch at a nearby place. It's a bit of a hidden gem because workers from Tsukiji come here for lunch and it's underground, so there aren't many tourists. The seating is quite spacious and the atmosphere is very comfortable. The food isn't anything outstanding, but the fried dishes are delicious and I think the cooking is done very carefully. Plus, it's reasonably priced. They offer a variety of set meals and small dishes, making it a good place to leisurely drink alcohol from lunchtime. It's an important restaurant that I will continue to visit, so I don't want it to become too well-known and crowded.

Every year on December 30th, after visiting Tsukiji, I always go to the East To Grill restaurant. Usually, I have a tuna set meal typical of Tsukiji, but this time I tried the crab cream croquette. The rich cream and chunky crab meat matched perfectly and it was delicious! 🌟

I thought about eating fish for breakfast, but then I realized I had ordered the A set meal (fried set), which is a great deal. The set includes three types of fried foods: shrimp, horse mackerel, and squid. The horse mackerel and squid are especially delicious - I've never had horse mackerel and squid fried like this before. They are so fluffy and chewy, with a lot of meat packed inside. It's amazing that I can eat such a meal for breakfast... Tsukiji is incredible. The miso soup and rice go well with it... it's obvious, but I appreciate the thoughtful meal that made me realize that.

Tsukiji Market may be gone, but it's amazing that they still open from 8am serving their full menu, not just limited breakfast options. You can even enjoy alcohol in the morning. When I visited at 10am, it was empty so I could choose any seat. The Tuna and Scallop Fry Set meal for 1850 yen was delicious. The lean tuna was moist and tasty, while the fatty tuna was rich and melt-in-your-mouth. The scallop fry may look small, but it's thick and tasty. The rice was fluffy and delicious. I was planning to leave some, but ended up finishing everything easily.

This is my Saturday morning breakfast. There were two pasta options, shrimp Napoli and ham Italian. I wanted a salty pasta instead of tomato flavor, so I asked the staff if they had a salted option. They said they could make both the shrimp and ham salty! I ordered the shrimp salted pasta. The staff mistakenly ordered it as "salted Napoli" to the kitchen (lol). It was delicious with a buttery taste, and I was happy with the shredded cabbage. I will definitely come back!
