I was feeling dizzy from a hangover, so I really appreciated that they were open from the morning. I saw the reviews and decided to check it out. It was just a very ordinary standing soba noodle shop. I ordered the tempura soba, but it only had one shrimp... Well, it's really cheap so I guess it's expected. The tempura bowl set seems to have better value. Thank you for the meal.

Tokyo still feels like midsummer and not quite autumn yet, but this year, Shinshu-ya has started serving their autumn specialty, Matsutake mushroom soba noodles! It's priced at 880 yen this year, and the aroma is strong and delicious. I need to go again before it sells out! However, this year they are serving it from 11 am onwards, so I can't have it for breakfast. What a shame! #BreakfastSobaClub #BreakfastSobaLife #StandingSobaShop #JapaneseFastFood #EdoBlack

I entered the restaurant at 1:05 PM on a regular day, and when I left at 1:15 PM, it was about 70% full. The tempura soba for 550 yen was delicious, with a slightly sweet broth and smooth, long soba noodles that were easy on the throat. I didn't expect to find such a wonderful restaurant in Shibuya. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited alone! It is located near Mark City, about a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station. The best thing about this place is how cheap it is! I had a set meal with Shinshu pork cutlet rice bowl and soba for 800 yen. The Shinshu pork cutlet rice bowl had sweet sauce and bonito flakes on top of rice and tonkatsu, and it was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating! It's great to be able to eat a satisfying meal at this price! Thank you for the meal!

I often use it during lunchtime. It's convenient that you can eat standing up or sitting down, and most importantly, the soba is cheap and delicious. Today, I had the sesame soba (extra large), which cost only 530 yen, which was surprising. It's crowded with office workers, but if you're looking for cheap, fast, and delicious food, this restaurant is recommended.

I visited Shinshuya for the first time in a long time on September 11, 2023. I couldn't remember which branch I had been to before because it had been so long. It was my first time in a while, so I was a bit confused by the system when I entered. I decided to order a mini oyakodon set and warm soba. I paid in cash and then waited in line for my order. The food was ready quickly, and I had to find my own table to eat. The standing eating style was nice after a long time. The soba was really delicious, especially with the green onions and wasabi. The mini oyakodon had a great dashi flavor, and the chicken was tender with a nice texture. The onions were not too soft, which added to the overall experience. You can eat quickly and leave, as they are ready for the next customer. The staff cleaned up efficiently, and the whole process was fast from start to finish. The mix of high chairs and standing eating areas worked well for all ages. It was a great experience. Thank you for the meal! m(*_ _)m

[Order] Cold sesame soba: 430 yen (tax included) [Lunch Evaluation] Speed of service: Quick (about 1-2 minutes) Variety of menu options: Many Cost performance: Excellent Overall comment: A representative standing soba restaurant in Shibuya! This standing soba restaurant has been a representative of Shibuya for a long time. Their specialty is the "cold sesame soba," which is an original menu item unique to standing soba restaurants. The sesame flavor is strong and delicious. It's amazing that you can enjoy soba of specialist shop quality for less than a coin. If you want to eat standing soba in Shibuya, it's worth walking a little from the station to visit "Shinshuya." (About a 3-4 minute walk from the station)

I came to Shinshuya for a quick soba meal in a small alley near Shibuya Station. I searched for soba in Shibuya and this place came up at the top, so I thought it must serve delicious soba. The place is called Shinshuya Shibuya, so I wondered if it was a chain store or if there was also one in Shinjuku. I ordered the "Tenzaru" for 540 yen, and it came out quickly, which was convenient for a light meal. However, the taste was lacking in soba flavor and seemed to have a lot of wheat flour. The tempura was also not impressive. But considering the location near Shibuya Station and the fact that you can get soba for 540 yen, it's quite remarkable. Overall, I had mixed feelings but ultimately rated it in the 3-point range, understanding that the high rating is for factors other than taste.

I had been curious about this shop every time I passed by. I hesitated because I thought it was a standing soba shop, but then I found out they also have counter seats, so I stopped by on a weekday around 5 pm before watching a movie. Located just off the road next to Shibuya Mark City, "Shinshuya" Shibuya store was established in 1986. Amidst the rapidly changing dining scene in Shibuya, this popular soba shop is said to be a strong ally for businessmen. The shop's motto is freshly made, freshly fried, freshly boiled, and the soba made with stone-ground buckwheat flour has a very firm and delicious texture. You order and pay at the counter, and your food is ready to pick up shortly after. Since it was early evening, there was no line and plenty of seats available. It seems that it gets crowded during lunchtime. The self-service system for water and such makes it easy to enjoy a quick meal without feeling pressured, making it a convenient spot even during busy lunch hours. There were also several solo female customers. The prices are very affordable. I ordered the tempura soba set for 750 yen, and my friend ordered the mini curry rice bowl set with an egg for 650 yen plus 70 yen for the egg. The tempura seemed like it might have been pre-made considering the quick serving time, but it was crispy and had a nice sweet sauce. The soba had a good texture and was very delicious. This down-to-earth shop passes with flying colors for its taste and price. It's perfect for a light meal before watching a movie, so I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Shibuya... and on the way back from drinking on Dogenzaka... I felt like eating ramen but couldn't think of anything, so I wandered around the alleys and stumbled upon a soba restaurant undergoing exterior renovations! And what's this? I found a dipping noodle dish called Vinegary Spicy Negi Soba with elements of ramen for 580 yen! I went in immediately and found a spacious interior with mostly standing and a few seating spots, mostly for solo customers. I ordered at the counter, paid in cash, and the kitchen prepared the food while I waited. It was raining on a Sunday, and there was only one female customer. While I was a bit confused after ordering, the dish was ready in no time. Pickled plum and soba broth were self-service. The dipping sauce for the Vinegary Spicy Negi had a hint of warmth and included pork belly. The fresh chives and bird's eye chili provided the spiciness. The soba didn't have a strong aroma due to the chive dipping sauce, but it was lighter than Chinese noodles. Lastly, I enjoyed pickled plum and soba broth as a palate cleanser. I was extremely satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Cold dipping soba with tempura (480 yen). As usual, a quick lunch at Shinshu-ya. The restaurant is crowded as always. I placed my order and paid at the cashier. The dish was served in about 3 minutes. The dipping sauce for the soba was delicious, and the soba itself was tasty. The tempura was slightly warm and crispy. I enjoyed mixing the wasabi on the side. As always, it was delicious.

In the middle of the road leading to Shibuya Station, there is an old Romesoba shop that is popular for its set meals with rice bowls. However, since I can't eat that much, I decided to try the soba instead at "Shinshuya Shibuya." I had the tempura soba, even though it was hot outside, and I found that the warm soba was surprisingly good. The noodles were not steamed, but boiled like regular town soba, so cold soba was also fine. The soba broth had a moderate soy sauce flavor but a strong saltiness. The tempura had a thin and crispy coating that melted in the broth. It was quite delicious!

I came to Shibuya Station on the Inokashira Line for the first time in a while and decided to try a nearby soba restaurant for lunch. The restaurant was just a 1-2 minute walk from Shibuya Station, so I expected it to be crowded - and it was. It was just past 12 o'clock and the restaurant was full. There were over 10 people waiting to order, but the turnover seemed fast so I decided to wait in line. This restaurant operates on a system where you place your order when your turn comes up. There were menu cards inside the restaurant, so I could think about my order while waiting in line. Today, I decided to go for the cold soba special with extra toppings of seaweed. After a few minutes, it was my turn. I placed my order, paid, and waited nearby as my soba was prepared. The special portion was generous with two servings of dipping sauce and plenty of seaweed as toppings. The soba had a good texture, with a focus on the smoothness of the buckwheat. It was delicious. I enjoyed changing up the flavor with wasabi and green onions as I ate. The seaweed topping added a nice touch. Despite the large portion, I finished it quickly. The staff cleared the dishes, so I just left them on the table. It was my first time at this restaurant, but it seemed like a place with many regular customers from the conversations I overheard. The turnover was fast, and the menu was diverse, making it a great spot for lunch. The restaurant was non-smoking and seemed to cater well to solo diners, although there were also groups of colleagues dining together. There were seats at the counter as well. There were many female customers too. The lively atmosphere created by the staff was reassuring. It was a satisfying lunch in Shibuya after a long time. Thank you. I will definitely come back.

Today I had the deluxe portion of soba noodles as usual. I always end up wanting to eat a lot of soba noodles here, but as you can see, it's a huge portion and by the end, it's more than enough for a middle-aged person haha. I wish there was a separate stomach for soba noodles. Even if I end up feeling too full, I'll definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

Kakiage cold soba (490 yen) Just around noon in Shibuya. I wanted to grab a bite to eat, but didn't have any specific ideas. That's when I came across Shinshu-ya. It's a standing soba shop, but when I walked in, I saw a line of customers waiting to order and pay. I was craving some refreshing cold soba, and although I usually go for the kitsune soba, I wanted something a bit lighter this time, so I chose the kakiage soba. The kakiage here is made with finely chopped vegetables fried perfectly. The soba noodles had a nice texture, and the dipping sauce was delicious. I mixed in some wasabi and enjoyed it all in one go. There are several standing soba shops in Shibuya, but Shinshu-ya stands out for its high quality.

I visited for a refreshing end to my drinking session. The interior of the restaurant was clean and tidy, which was a nice change from the usual in this area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, unlike the usual slow service in this neighborhood. Despite being in a busy drinking district, the place was well-maintained. I originally planned to have just soba noodles, but ended up ordering a mini curry set without realizing it. It arrived quickly and I ate standing up at the counter. The soba noodles were a bit soft but still good, and the dipping sauce was tasty. The curry could have had more depth in flavor, but it was spicy and not too thick, which was nice. I finished my meal quickly and left. I will definitely come back here for another meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I was intrigued by this sign: "Soba Restaurant Shinshu-ya Shibuya Branch". Order at the counter and pay in advance. Jazz music playing loudly in the background. Sat at the counter facing the wall. Ordered the "Aji Fry Don Morisoba Set" for 780 yen. The zaru soba was roughly arranged, with the usual watery noodles and light soy sauce. Finished with soba broth poured into the remaining sauce and noodles. The highlight was the Aji Fry Don: a neatly shaped fried horse mackerel on a bed of rice, topped with sauce and mayonnaise in a grid pattern. Served with pickled vegetables. The crispy coating and tender fish were delicious. The portion was smaller than expected. The rice was cooked perfectly. The combination of sauce and mayo made it easy to eat. Overall, my order at 1:30 pm left me satisfied.

Located near the station, this place offers quick, affordable, and delicious freshly made soba with soba-yu (hot soba water) and seasonal tempura. They also have seasonal menu items. The soba is boiled fresh on-site. If you're looking to eat soba quickly in Shibuya, this is the place to go! The interior has a few chairs lined up at the counter, so once you secure a spot, you can sit down. There is also a standing area for those in a hurry. A favorite among longtime fans.

Chilled tempura soba for 490 yen. Noodles: Soft. Tempura: Lightly battered. Freshly fried: Yes. Broth: Sweet. Personally: Not a fan. The tempura had thick vegetables like leeks and carrots, which was nice and warm to bite into. It seemed to taste better than I remembered. The portion looked small due to the large sieve, but there was a decent amount of soba noodles. The dipping broth had a tight and slightly spicy flavor that paired well. Located near Shibuya Station, it was crowded even in the afternoon. It's great that you can eat for just one coin.

During Golden Week on Constitution Memorial Day, I visited a restaurant on Wednesday at 7:15 pm. The seating rate was 100% with 7-8 people from the same group of foreign tourists who entered after I sat down. There was some room at the standing counter. As it was starting to get hot, I felt like eating cold soba. I ordered the Cold Tororo Soba for 500 yen with a side of hot spring egg for 80 yen. I chose the side of egg because I like dipping the soba I soaked in the broth into the egg. The taste of the egg becomes rich and delicious!
