I found a lunch spot that was quite crowded, but managed to find a seat with a nice view. I had a warm vegetable and cheese sandwich with iced coffee. It was luxurious to enjoy in a cool restaurant on a hot day. The trendy and open atmosphere was great, but it took a long time that day due to a rush of takeout orders. Also, sitting near the kitchen made the smell linger, and I had plans afterwards, so I slightly regretted it. I would like to visit again with more time to spare.

Saturday morning at 10:37 am, I placed an order at a cafe with a few customers already inside. Although there were a few empty seats, it was quite comfortable. There seemed to be some delivery and takeout orders, so I had to wait a bit. At 10:50 am, the new Spinach Cheese Melt arrived. I ordered the An Butter Melt at 11:00 am, and it came out at 11:08 am. This was the main dish I was looking forward to. The richness of the cheese and butter, combined with the soft red bean paste, along with the crispy bread, was delicious. I was curious about both the savory and sweet options, so I ended up ordering both.

After visiting Meiji Shrine at the beginning of the year, we went to this place in North Aoyama for breakfast. It's a restaurant where you can enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches just like in America! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also nice. There are so many types of hot sandwiches to choose from that it's hard to decide. And they also have a burger melt with plenty of cheese. Not only does it look good, but it's also delicious to eat. The kids were thrilled and we will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

Located very close to Sendagaya Elementary School, just about 7-8 minutes from Harajuku if you take the Takeshita exit. It's away from the hustle and bustle, making it a great place to relax. On a Sunday at 10am, there was only one other customer. It seems like many people want to take it easy on their day off, as there were quite a few Uber Eats orders. I ordered the Cheeseburger Melt, French Fries, and Hot Coffee for a total of 1655 yen. The food arrived in 7-8 minutes. The crispy toast slices in the Cheeseburger Melt helped alleviate the guilt of indulging in a junky breakfast (but it's tasty, so who cares if it's junky). At first, I was a bit concerned about the ketchup, but it turned out to be just a one-time thing. The bread was delicious, and I really enjoyed it. I'm curious about the An Butter, so I'll definitely be back soon.

Cafe with power outlets and Wi-Fi where you can work while having lunch. I ordered a hamburger for 920 yen, fries for 300 yen, and a hot coffee for 380 yen (with a set discount of 55 yen), totaling 1,545 yen including tax. The burger was a bit smaller than expected, but it was delicious. Not too heavy, just right. The sandwich, minestrone, and drink might have been a more traditional choice. There are various sandwiches available. I haven't had a burger in a while, so I ended up choosing one here. Thank you for the meal. I would come back again if I have the chance!

I had been curious every time I passed by in my car. It's located in a hard-to-reach place away from the station. It's famous for its Cheese Melt Sandwich, so I ordered the Chili Cheese Melt Sandwich. I had to wait for over 15 minutes... the wait time was a bit long. It had chili beans and lots of cheese inside. The cheese was stretchy! I should have ordered a salad too. Even though my stay was short, there were many people using it for takeout. I'd like to try the Anko Melt someday. I wonder if red bean paste and cheese go well together?

I visited during lunchtime! I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday and was able to be seated without waiting. This is a sandwich shop that presses cheese between buttered slices of bread, following the NY style. They only accept touch payment for credit cards (as of June 2022). Surprisingly, the coffee here is ¥360! It's quite affordable compared to nearby places, right? The taste is more of a deep roast that goes well with meals, rather than American-style, with hardly any acidity, which I personally love and am very satisfied with. The food was served about 20 minutes after ordering. Let's dig into the much-talked-about sandwiches.
▼ [Limited Time] Avocado Shrimp Melt
A sandwich with avocado and boiled shrimp sautéed in basil sauce. The taste is gentler than expected! The occasional crunch of the shrimp and the thick, creamy texture of the avocado are great. Those who like this combination will surely love it.
▼ Vegetable Melt
I ordered this one because it looked appealing (not expecting much in terms of taste), and personally, it was a big hit! A sandwich with komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), carrots, and red onions sautéed with garlic and salt, sandwiched with cheese. The sharp taste of salt is delicious! The vegetables and cheese are enveloped in a juicy oil. It's not as heavy as a meat-filled sandwich, but not lacking in satisfaction either, just the right balance. I underestimated the vegetables. Hmm, so tasty.
Due to certain circumstances, I needed to take pictures of photogenic sandwiches, and they were very helpful in discussing it. I'm grateful to the staff who kindly assisted me, even though they were busy on a weekday. Next time, I'd like to try something with meat! It might be difficult to visit the Sendagaya store since it's not in my usual area, but if I get the chance, I'd like to try another store. Thank you for the meal! (*^^*)

This is a nice terrace. When you sit down, it feels like you are on a "street". However, on a sunny day, you can enjoy a pleasant lunch here. This place is located along Meiji Street, next to Sendagaya Elementary School, and is a sandwich specialty shop called Mel & Sandwich. I ordered the limited edition Pastrami Melt. It was very delicious with a smoky meat flavor and spices. The highlight of this place is definitely the terrace. It's rare to find such an exposed terrace along Meiji Street. However, since it's visible to people walking by, if you are conscious of being seen, it might be better to avoid it.

This is a sandwich specialty shop located on Kita-Sando. Every sandwich is grilled until the cheese melts and becomes gooey. The interior of the shop has counter seats and table seats, with a stylish and casual atmosphere. I tried the ◯ An Butter Melt for 550 yen and ◯ Cafe Latte for 430 yen. The hot sandwich is cut diagonally, and butter oozes out generously from the cross-section. The cheese and sweet bean paste slowly drizzle out afterwards, creating such an attractive visual! The bread is crispy, with the melted cheese and smooth sweet bean paste providing an irresistible combination of sweetness. And there's plenty of rich butter too. It's a high-calorie treat that's so delicious it's hard to resist, despite feeling a bit guilty. I indulged and finished it all. I'd like to try a savory sandwich next time.

I visited the restaurant around 1 pm on a regular day. They have table seats, counter seats, and terrace seats, making it easy for even one person to enter. This time, I ordered the restaurant's specialty Cheese Melt (¥550 including tax) and an iced coffee (¥370 including tax). If you order a drink with a sandwich, you get a ¥55 discount. The cheese melted like a waterfall and had a deliciously smooth texture that wasn't too heavy. The hot sandwich was crispy and fragrant. You can eat two large sandwiches, so I was satisfied with just that!

Revisited. The title is drawn from my favorite mystery novel (if you recognize it, you're quite a fan and we could get along well. Please leave a comment, haha). A roadside shop along Meiji Street. The shop is spacious with many seats, and there are also about 4 seats outside. The interior is in black tones with a calm atmosphere. The BGM is light jazz playing. There is one female staff member, and the service is polite. I ordered the An Butter Melt for 630 yen (it's 80 yen more expensive than a year and a half ago). The An Butter Melt is generously filled with red bean paste, cheese, and butter. Take a look at the photo. Amazing, right? The flowing butter is just full of guilt. I succumbed to the whisper of the devil. I think it's needless to say how delicious this is, right? It's irresistible for those with a sweet tooth. When freshly made, it's piping hot with the cheese melting significantly. Beyond the crispy texture of the bread, there's a crunchy sensation, a melting cheese, a sweet red bean paste, and the enchanting butter attacking you. My hands may get sticky, but I don't mind. Can't ignore this. It's what I was looking for. Satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I used the eat-in service for the first time at this restaurant. There are 2 tables with 4 seats outside. I ordered the Vegetable Melt: filled with plenty of cabbage, komatsuna, and cheese! Premium Burger Melt: same filling as a hamburger! It was delicious~ Cheese Fries: I wish there was a bit more cheese, but it was okay because I had the cheese sandwich w Less cheesy than I expected! The bread was crunchy and fluffy.

I wanted to check out this restaurant that I saw on TV, located a 3-minute walk from Kitasando. The cozy interior with a terrace is perfect for dining alone without feeling out of place. Their NY-style sandwiches are popular for their photogenic cross-section. I had a hard time choosing from the extensive menu, but I ended up ordering the seasonal Autumn special, the Mushroom Burger Melt, along with an iced coffee. The juicy 100% beef patty with plenty of shimeji mushrooms, rich demi-glace sauce, and gooey gouda cheese made for a deliciously thick sandwich! I now want to try their other classic sandwiches as well.

Anko, butter, and a double cheese sandwich at POTAMELT in Tokyo. This NY-style sandwich looks sinful but tastes amazing. The combination of cheese and anko is perfect. The shop is cozy and open early in the morning. I ordered the anko butter melt and an iced coffee. The sandwich was hot and crispy, with a generous amount of cheese and anko inside. The cheddar and gouda cheese paired well with the sweet anko. Overall, a delicious breakfast option. I will definitely be coming back for more.

There are three categories of melts: Standard, Burger, and Sweets. This time, I chose the Double Cheeseburger Melt (¥1,050) as it was my first time. After waiting for about 5 minutes, it was brought to the eat-in space along with French fries (¥320). The operation was handled by a single woman. It was a rainy day and only 10:30, so the place was not crowded, but it seemed like it would be busy during lunchtime. There is a bento shop called POTA Bento affiliated with the restaurant. The Double Cheeseburger Melt had a generous amount of cheese that melted beautifully, making it Instagram-worthy. The access to buses heading to Shibuya in front of the shop is convenient, making it a useful spot for those based in Sendagaya. Perhaps due to the COVID-19 situation, the shop opens at 9:00.

I visited the restaurant on a weekend morning around 8 o'clock. The stylish interior was open and there were two groups of customers already. This is a sandwich shop specializing in melts. I ordered the classic cheese melt and the red bean butter melt from the friendly staff and waited inside. I was called in less than 10 minutes. The cheese melt had a crispy bread and plenty of cheese, it was delicious! The thin slices of bread were quite filling. The red bean butter melt was also tasty, with a light texture that reminded me of a Nagoya-style cafe. It was a chic breakfast. Despite feeling light, it was still filling. The pickles served with the cheese melt were also good. The prices are reasonable considering the portion and taste, compared to other burgers.

I stopped by while feeling hungry in the cold. The order came quickly and the food was served hot. I had the vegetable toast. The cheese and vegetables melted in my mouth and tasted delicious. It would be great if they offered options like soy-based cheese for vegetarians. Thank you for the meal.

I had noticed that the Potasta in front of the shop had changed without me realizing it. I had assumed it was a related shop because of the similar name, and it turned out to be true. I got a takeout before going to the gym and decided on the An Butter Melt (including tax 595 yen) after carefully considering the menu displayed outside. There were two female customers inside the cafe-like shop, and I leisurely waited for my An Butter to be made while observing the process. Once it was ready, I hurried to the gym. Since the gym was nearby, I was able to eat the still warm and melted An Butter. The combination of butter and sweet red bean paste seems like it would make you gain weight, but it was so comforting. I didn't really taste the saltiness of the Gouda cheese that was also included in the An Butter Melt, but the melting effect of the red bean paste and butter was abundant. The cheese-based menu items also looked delicious.

I passed by the store on my bike and thought it looked delicious, so I decided to visit with my two daughters. I was curious about the meaning of "Pota" in "Potamelt" but then I found out it's a sister store of Potasta! I was more interested in the Cheese Melt than the Mori Mori sandwich. We ordered the Cheese Burger Melt for 680 yen, Cheese Fried Potatoes for 380 yen, and Minestrone for 380 yen. First, the fried potatoes and Minestrone arrived. The potatoes were covered in plenty of melted cheese, which had a rich, egg-like flavor. Adding ketchup or mustard made them even tastier. The Minestrone was filled with bell peppers, eggplant, and zucchini, making it a great way to get lots of veggies. Finally, the Cheese Burger Melt arrived a bit later. It was a hot sandwich with a hamburger patty and cheese, and it was really delicious! It had mustard in it, which was a bit spicy for my daughters, so next time we'll ask for it without. The place has an American vibe and is a nice spot to relax with just a drink. It's also very child-friendly, which is convenient for families like mine.

A cafe famous for its hot sandwiches flowing like a waterfall ☺︎ In addition to sandwiches, they also sell hamburgers and bento boxes. The interior of the cafe is stylish, but it's not really a place where you can relax for a long time, so it feels like you should leave soon after eating. It has a casual atmosphere where even men can enter alone! I ordered the Cheese Melt Sandwich for 730 yen and a hot coffee for 380 yen. You don't have to order a drink, which is nice! The sandwich is all about cheese ☺️♡ The bread is thin and crispy, but the cheese inside is quite intense. If you're not a big fan of cheese, you might get tired of it. I added ketchup and mustard for some flavor change, haha. Some people might think the price of the sandwich is a bit high, but considering the location and the amount of cheese, it seems reasonable to me. The hamburgers also look delicious, so I'll try that next time ☺️♡
